Kusari glanced back at the gate; it was wide open and seemingly unguarded. "I agree. It seems strange..." She kept her tan cloak on since it was a bit lighter than the large black official one. They were in the desert after all. She kept her hand on her weapon while they made their way. "So who are we going to see?" she asked.

"An old friend. He won't join, but I'm sure he has some good connections." he said quietly, moving his hand to his weapon too.

"Ah..." She thought about the few times she'd been to Sunagakure, but she'd never really met anyone she could call a friend. She shook her self out of her thoughts mentally before that train of thought went too close to a memory she didn't want to revisit. "Good, that should make this easier."

Noting where Bekuta's eye was watching, Kusari glanced back toward the gate. It didn't seem that the ninja had moved yet. Planning perhaps? she thought, but redirected her gaze forward so as not to seem suspicious.

One of Pein's six bodies suddenly appeared and entered the desert city, but so fast that no one could see him, as he came a rare light rain began to fall. So light that it was just a drizzle, but it was enough to make his presence known to the villagers in the city. With the rain he could tell if someone entered the city, left it, or was staying inside it.

Mandra appeared at the gate of the land of sand in a gust which blew sand in a small whirlwind. "Where is that pest of a child of mine." he said aloud not realizing it, but his thought remained the same, he was growing impatient with looking for his "daughter." After a few moments of just standing and pondering on his next moves and what he was going to tell Pein if he could not find her, he decided he'd stop procrastinating and search the village. And he ran off into it as fast as he had come.
