super hero is a nice theme but how bout Super ___, mainly heroes and villains but all so... This thought inturupted to bring a more awesome one.
the party starts out everybody is fairly normal for whatever their character is, and most people are dressed up. Then, as the party goes, slowly, people actually turn into their outfit, gaining its traits, it starts about a third the way through and by the last couple days people are turning all the way... this doesn't sound as awesome now that I write it, maybe I'm just thinking about it slightly wrong.

Two more ideas, the first one's a little halfassed and I dont know exactly how to use it.
What if somehow SDRP was like, a friend of the devil, or some big scary demon guy thing, maybe he's the cause of whatever weirdness is going on, but this doesn't make SDRP evil or anything, they's just buds.
Second it would be really awesome, in my eyes atleast, if we set up the RP so theres the party, but when the party ends the RP can keep going, so we get some continuous world that we can throw parties in but in between theres just player controlled plot.

I like the costume idea. I've read a book that was simliar. We could also have the part keep going like if you want to have your char party your could send him their for a bit or something like that. Maybe an inter-demsional Pub?

for the continuing world I suggest we have a whole world, specifically one made up of nation like 'realms' in which the physics of reality are fundamentally different, but not enough to disconnect them. Some of the 'realms' have zones that are similar but different in some major way, and a global map would basically look like a map of fiction genres laid out on an irrationally patchworked jigsaw puzzle.
I see it as having three or so primary realms, one for realistic fiction, one for fantasy, and one for scifi, though arguably the fantasy and scifi realms intermix quite a bit at the boarder, they would all have names of course.
Or something like that. Then whenever we hold a bash we just call people from all over and party.

The rest of the time it would run as a massive world built in such a way that characters can make their own RPs in it but have to follow the general rules of existance, then each player can make one character and walk from one RP to another completely different one, like for instance I could start some chick in a mountain college romance, leave that and go to a future space war RP, crash a fighter into a renaissance era magic RP and fight my way back to mountain college only to find my lover got killed by aliens... that would be a bit extreme and convoluted but it's the type of thing that the world would support.

I have an Idea. Maybe we should do something like people are invited to like a party at a mansion only that the mansion is haunted. Then there could be one or a group of people who can roleplay as the huanted mansion and like do wierd huanting stuff to people. Then maybe the house can actually "kill" like the characters leaving the living to solve what is really behind this house party and in the end they find out the truth which I don't really want to tell here in a post for it'll spoil the surprise. I'll probably PM this idea to a mod of this guild and ask for their opinion.
It could like seem really nice at first with like waiters, dancing, and fun until something wierd happens. There could even be enough rooms for everyone to stay in while everything happenes so that we can make it a long term RP. But then after a while people can go missing and then turn up dead somewhere else. You know like a horror sci-fi sort of thing.

Euphoric Ghost so I just finished watching sky high. How about a super hero theme? With super hero events and such? Haha. sky high rofl I've seen it too... redface But, yer... super hero is awesome... I'd definately dress up for that! heart (I'm up for just about anything really... I'm agreeable. whee LOVE ME! sweatdrop

wow. 200,00 posts. I hope I can be here for 300,000. I also wanna know how you count them all. So this is like an event thingry for thanksgiving and halloween. How about a kinda old irish tale. Theres a village thas haunted by demons. Thevillagers are placed under a curse and have to get more demons by getting them to do threre certain things. kinda manipulating them. so theres a bounty by the king. who ever saves them get a reward or something. The bounty hunters have to do three things to get them back to normal. so there asrethree groups. bounty hunters, the original demons, and the towns people. I'm not sure if this is right or not. I havent really done much In the guild cept RP in 1 rp, and im fairily new to the guild, so I seren any of these events before.

How about we all take a poll on the different ideas, and the 2 or 3 that are the most liked, win. and there'd be all 2 or 3 going on at the same time, and you ultimately get to choose one or all to do. because it's so hard to just choose one, ya know?

Okay, while I was listening to you guys think up Ideas, I have decided that I really like the interdimensional one where we create a world and stuff. But I have also found a particularly creepy idea (in my opinion). Or else I have just been reading This Side of Paradise way too much.
So there could be this town that seems perfectly normal. The people are kind, the stores are normal, same currency and everything. But everything is just a little too nice. There is no law enforcement, and people who do break laws go ... wait, where exactly do they go? That's the thing : when you break a law, you are called to Town Hall for a "trial". But nobody knows what happens in these trials because nobody has come back to tell anybody else. So the town gets suspicious and goes searching for the answers.
One by one people are killed in "accidents" until only a few are left. Then they find out the truth, which I am not going to post here because that would give EVERYTHING away.
It doesn't seem like something hard to do, but I just want to hear your opinions on the matter.
