Okay! I've had a few ideas~
I feel like instead of doing something outright scary, with things jumping out at people or something, we could go with something more subtle. Sort of like just a sad atmosphere... but with something off.
Like, the room would have a packed floor so that the room seemed tilted, or something, with maybe a small town that's empty save for a few of our Empyr as NPCs, who are dying, with the land reclaiming the town.
My thoughts on what to do with the setting are either a choose-your-own-adventure story-thing on the front page. Sort of like...
If you choose to ____ go to 5.6 (sixth entry on post 5)
If you choose to ____ go to 7.1 (first entry on post 7)
And so on.
OR
We could have clues scattered on the front page, from different inhabitants of the village, where you try and figure out what happened.
That's all I have so far~
I can do art stuff, by the by, as well as banners and writing. 3nodding

I like the second one, with the clues that you get from different "villagers"
i'm thinking like a Firefly style Reavers scenario, in that there was a chemical weapon used (perhaps claim it was the Outsiders) and the people are dying off. Have the survivors of the entire city/town be the hosts of the posts, as in, one is the man from the church, one the schoolteacher, one a child or something like that, like a murder mystery. And the clues lead the people going through to the correct "cure" or the culprit or something like that.

Oh, I LIKE that. My original image had to do with the plague, but blame that on AP Euro.
I like that idea! And some of what they say will be biased... or just plain wrong. There will be contradictions people need to work out.
Think we should have a small prize for those who figure things out?

or something. like it could be a healing item they could use in later duels/battles/rp or something? something useful. ^^

Ooh, sort of like a post-apocalyptic type thing...? Zombies, anyone? *is shot for being a dork* But I like the way this is going! Incorporating a real fear into something a little more light-hearted to make it fun-scary, rather than real-scary. /twocents

i'd like them to be mroe scary than traditional zombies
more like Reavers or chemical zombies, like resident evil or 28 days later, or something predatory.

Yeah. Funny-scary... mm. I dunno. I like the sort of low-key sensation of "wrong" when it comes to 'scary' things. And I think having things just seem sort of normal, but off, and then OMG CREEPY MESSED UP ZOMBIES and then nothing could be nice.
Besides, I suck at writing humor of any sort. XD;
Alchemical Candy or something could be nice, but that seems a bit out of place with the tone we have so far. Hmmm...

I don't mean to call it that, but a healing item, y'know? like a Serum that would cure effects of the chemical!
Oh!! Idea! What if as the clues go on, the person finds out they have caught the sickness from breathing the air/eating the food/drinking the water or whatever, and the item you gain at the end is the antidote?

I was being silly with the zombies thing. XD But if we wanna run with an illness thing, I think we should have a little like... I dunno, thing at the bottom of each post.
Like...
'As you move forward, you feel your breath hitch, almost as if in anticipation of something. Looking around, you see nothing out of the ordinary, but something... feels off. Forcing yourself to breathe easy, though it seems a little hard to get a full breath, you continue onwards.' Crappy, yeah, but if we're gonna go with the illness thing, I think that'd be the easiest way to sort get the person reading into the mindset of there being an illness to catch, or... whatever. But if I'm missing the point, just tell me. XD

yeah, that's totally what I meant *nodnodnod*
So to set it up on a gaia page it'll look a little like screen caps from an rpg video game. each post would have a background (like a muted photo of a place) and then the Empyrean's head and torso in front, as the character they're playing, mayor, schoolteacher, priest, doctor, child, whoever, right
and they'd have their dialogue which would include their clues or red herrings, and then the following post would be a bit of story
so, that would leave us with a maximum of 7 posts for characters...
how about:
1. The Child
2. The Schoolteacher - Danna
3. The Butcher - Torrid
4. The Librarian
5. The Priest
6. The Doctor
7. The Mayor - Blayk
and if those are okay characters with all you, I'd like Danna to be the schoolteacher...
