Renee continued flitting about the castle halls, dusting everything in sight. Including a few people, who in return yelled and gave her dirty looks. But there's very little reasoning with pixies.

"Ah, excuse me. Pixie?" a fairy castle steward called. Renee wasn't surprised that he didn't know her name. There were so many of her kind that flew these halls.

"Yes sir! How can I help you sir!" she asked, saluting.

"I need you to get this letter to Lord Gethin," the man said, extending an envelope. Renee frowned a little. This was one of those jobs that people just gave pixies when they were lazy. The letter was as big as she was. But she agreed. It gave her an excuse to be out of the castle after all.

Erde sat high in a large tree. Her long brown hair fell to her elbows and her bright green eyes glared at the ground vaguely. A long black skirt hung down from the thick bough, and a long dark green tunic sat lightly on her back around her thin translucent, black-tipped butterfly like wings.

One of her thin bare feet slid down and hung in the air, swaying slightly.

Rowan's dark gray eyes stared down into the running water. His dark brown hair hung down along the side of his face. Short black pants clung to his legs and a tan tunic hung loosely around his shoulders.

He was lucky. The elf decided, years after the real incident. He'd been punished by the gods for his hate of others different from him.

Erde brushed her arm after she felt something hit it. Then looked down when she heard a small voice. A pixie. Oh gods...

"No." She answered in a dark, flat tone. "Why would I know where he was?"

'What is Life?' A beautiful woman with long blue hair asked him. Her stunning crystal eyes brimmed with tears. Her pure unclothed body was surrounded in a light mist.

'I don't know.' Rowan stated back from his spot sitting cross legged in the middle of a black nothingness.

'Life is not to hate!' A voice boomed, and there was a burning light behind him. A large burly man with a thick red beard and blazing eyes rose from a fiery portal that sprang from no where. His bronze armor shone with an unnatural light.

'I-I-' Rowan stumbled back. A gust of wind pushed him to the side. A youthful woman, though she had silvery gray hair, with a smile on her face spun into existence. A long white robe floated around her.

'Life is to love all.' She giggled.

'Have you done that, my son?' The blue haired woman asked him. She produced a pool of clear water and led Rowan to look into it.

He looked down at his own reflection, but it soon rippled away to reveal him hammering the wings of a fairy to a tree. Then to him taunting a small gnome child by hold his toy just out of the creature's reach. Deed after deed rippled away before his eyes until the pool when blank when one of Rowan's tears hit it.

'I'm sorry.' He whispered. 'I'm sorry.'

"What the hell are you sorry about?" He snapped back at the sound of his friend Alder's voice. His friends were gathered around him.

"Nothing," He said softly, sitting up.

"Then come on." Adder said, "We'll need that mud if we're gonna push a couple of Sylphs into it."

"N-no." Rowan muttered, "You guys go ahead." He slowly stumbled away. "I have to think."

Gethin groaned as the metal doors high aboved closed, and all became dark. Save for the fire flies of course.

"Note to self," he mumbled as she continued to walk, "Stop being so obsessed with yourself and your own little world."

It was harder to find ones way once the doors to the sky were closed being that it could be used for navigation. Only certain stars could be seen from certain locations. But he wasn't quite sure where he was. All he knew was that he was yet to cross the river between where he was and his families manor. And he didn't trust the fire flies to show him where the bridge was. They were almost as bad as Sol Born.

So he decided he might stay here for now, not wanting to impose on any of the locals by asking for a room. He sat against a tree, and pulled his cloak around him. It was going to be a long night.

Renee let out a shriek of fear as it went pitch black. A firefly that must have taken pity on her flew closer, and lead her to where a fairy and a little elf had been caught in the darkness. She coughed, and cleared her throat.

"E-excuse me," she asked, trying not to whimper, "But have you seen Lord Gethin lately? I-I need to give this to him."

"I-I'm Renee," the pixie answered softly, getting closer to the fire fly so they could see her, and then repeating, "Have either of you seen Lord Gethin. Not that I'll be able to find him in the dark, but it'd be nice to know if he could be nearby when it gets light again."

She was getting tired now, and her wing beats could barely keep her up in the air. It was difficult for her to stay awake for twelve straight hours. And carrying this letter wasn't helping. It was also beginning to get cold.

"Yeah, I'm a servant there," Renee smiled proudly as this was quite an accomplishment for a pixie. Even though there were possibly hundreds of her kind in the castle staff, one had to have a perfect record in order to get a job.

"It's really pretty there," she continued, "You should visit sometime."

"Visit...the castle?" Luna didn't know what to say. Deep down, she really did want to visit.

"Yeah! Can we, can we?" Megumi pulled on Luna's arm.

"Don't be silly Megumi."

"Aww, why not?" the boy whined.

Luna patted him on the head. "Maybe someday, maybe someday." She then looked back to Renee. "So, who is this guy you're looking for? Lord...Gethin? Is he from the castle too?"
