Once more something tweaked in the male and he rose to his feet, muzzle wrinkled back in a fierce snarl as he practicly roared at her, ofcourse, being the species he was it sounded more like a strangled screaming laugh...but that just made it sound more horrific. Something burned so deeply in his eyes, the deep rooted anger she'd seen before and now it blazed bright and angrily for her to see.
"And what good memories would those be pray tell!?" He snapped viciously as he stood there, paws dug into the ground as he glared at her. "The fact that I left this place for nothing! Or the fact I can never get my puphood back thanks to my damn family!"
His snarls, so much rage and hatred as he stomped where he was, moving away from her and back over to his huge skull den.
"Bitches!! Every single one of them bitches!!! I hope their souls rot in hell for the rest of their damn, miserable after lives!!!!"
And with that his jaws clamped around the tusk of the old skull and in one swift moment snapped it off with a crunch. Crunching was good...breaking things calmed him and he panted heavily as he stood there before looking back over at her and dropping the bone.

Zoma couldn't help but squeak out a startled sound, her eyes wide once again and unlike last time when she refrained from jumping, she was up on her four legs in seconds of this reaction. She backed up until she had found herself against the edge of the ribs from before and couldn't help herself from actually being afraid of him, the out-most rage he displayed was just more powerful than any other anger she had encountered, the ones that she could just laugh off like usual.
"I.. I'm sorry," She managed unsure of if it would really do anything but make him more angry. She didn't know anything about him and yet he had snapped like he was opening a wound she knew was there. "I'm sure there are some, or you can make new happy ones ... its not like... you're not allowed to...." Zoma was unsure of why she still tried, or how she managed even to ramble. Perhaps just the panic and the quick beat of her heart as it pounded in her ears.
She fell silent as he destroyed the tusk, watching him with wide cobalt eyes.

Everything right now was just a simple blur of colours, his heartbeat pounding within his ears as he snarled with every breath...in a way, it was like his throat had been mangled and that noise was really the only noise he could make. He was angry, furious even but so far he'd just taken it out on the tusk...in his mind his memories flooded back to a younger male he's met while living as a rogue, wandering from pack to pack, taking females as he pleased, beating them, hurting them...but the thought of actually doing that to them....it sickened the older male. And it made him retch slightly, tongue stuck out and skin drawn back to reveal his fangs.
He heard nothing of her words, but he knew in the back of his mind...or made an educated guess that she was apologising, again, stupid female. They were all stupid things...just here to have pups and raise the next generation, the only decent thing they were here for...and yet some cosmic force had chosen his species out of all the others to be ruled by bitches.
Again he snorted, chest heaving up and down as he channeled his rage by taking it out on his memories, bottling it all up inside. It deffinately wasn't healthy...and it always lead to those outbursts the other hyena had the unfortunate time of watching.
"There is no happiness for me." He snarled at her, paws scraping the dirt as his hearing returned to him. He relished the sight of her cowering, yes, he liked it when they were afraid. They'd always been afraid, wild dog pups, lion cubs...all afraid of the nasty hyena.

The large greyed mass of rib bone creaked as Zoma pressed herself a little further back into it. It could easily take the strain she was placing upon it as she shifted, but it still wasn't the sturdiest of things really; still had the power to hold her forward before it would crack and send her falling backwards. The female gulped, watching in mild fascination as his rage filled him further and slowly began to calm and fizzle down because into his bitter resentment. Her guard remained up now though, unsure if anything else that came out of her mouth could send him over the edge.
Half a mind wondered why she kept trying though, her mouth parted ready to spit more words of happiness and belief to him but nothing came out and her jaw just remained open as if in a state of awe. Zoma's eyes however, looked down at the dust and littered ground beneath them. "... You shouldn't feel you're not entitled to any though..." she repeated in a slow low tone to make her point, unaware he really didn't hear her the first time.
Hm.... with the distance between them, maybe she could have a clean head start if he went crazy again. Hopefully he wasn't faster than her ....

His panting continued to be eratic till he paused and stared at her for a few moments to listen to her words...until he closed his eyes, as if he was in pain and dragged his paws towards the den. He walked as if his limbs were suddenly lead weights, all the memories were like fangs biting in the back of his brain and he grumbled softly as he moved back into his den. He wanted to curl up, to block out the world and let it shrivel around him and die...
As he placed a paw in his den he turned his large head briefly to stare at her, his eyes no longer filled with rage but a dull, empty look. Almost like he was hollow from the inside out.
"It'd be best if you left now." He said, his words ending in a growl before he slipped into the shadows. Nothing but his deep, pale, empty eyes staring back at her from the inside of his den.

Cobalt eyes remained upon him, never moving from his panting form. Watching him in silence and slowly receding fear; taking his lack of actions against her and his now grumbling retreating form. Zoma let out a slow breathe, still keeping her eyes upon him and unmoving from the spot where she leaned against the rib. Even though he wasn't seeming like a threat now, trying to calm himself down and all and heading back to where he had originally came out of, she still had to remain alert just in case he changed his mind.
Zoma's breathing hitched as he stared at her briefly - him being too far away to catch the empty look in his eyes - but she did hear his words. "If.. that's what you want...." She replied in her low tone again, mustering up feeling in her legs to move from their cramped spot. Her hind legs shifted, her fore paws crossing over one another to turn herself around and away. The female thought about looking back at him, but she doubted it would change much of anything or really be needed and just kept her gaze downcast as she trotted away.
