Uh, no, she was useless in spirit too. She made that game 20 hours longer than it needed to be.

Nah useless in spirit but somewhat good in battle because from what I remember Sialeeds and the Prince had the ability to attack on units right?

If anything is to blame for making the game 20 hours longer than it had to be I point the finger of blame at loading times. I remember the good ol' days when Suikoden had one big load in the beginning and then just 2 seconds of loading during gameplay.
Either way, Sialeeds was one of the few in Suikoden 5 I liked, so to me at least she wasn't useless in spirit.

A useless character? I'd say Euram- you don't get to use him till near the end, and even so, chances are that you're probably more inclined to stay with units that you're more used to in the war battles. However, he does give the game a pretty good edge of humour...

Yay, someone else that likes Sialeeds xd
The sticking with units you're used to is universal in RPGs though. A good 50 of the 108 stars are usually forgettable if not more, and never touched. Ugh, I still have recruited half the peeps in that game gonk

I have a list of characters
1.Zamza was totally useless
2.Adlai and Manu
3.Tuta in II
4.Gilbert in II was pretty useless ixcept in war battles
5.Hanna from II was useless didn't do anything fun
6.Tomo, Tsai's daugter she was useless
SIALEEDS SUCKED and Zamza just plain SUCKED!!!

If Sialeeds sucked, so did Haswar. I LOVE Haswar. She's amazing. <3 I liked all of the characters in V.

Gau was it in S4? The purple dude? HE WAS PATHETIC.
So were all the Nekobolds and their unite attack no matter how cute. xp
I actually found Pesmerga to be kind of useless. Yeah he looks badass, but there were tons better!
Let's see . . . Gantetsu of S2 was crap . . . Fukien of S1 . . . Hrm, damn too many to think of. Oh yeah! Feather . . . Abizboah, and Badeuax or however you spelt his name. xp

Yes, Tuta and his rock... And it's ridiculous to imagine a blacksmith sharpening said rock.
I thought the dub made the nekobolds more creepy than cute. Like when travis meows at the kittens in NMH. There's something not right about it!

If your talking about worthless characters, how can you forget MukuMuku and the rest of the flying squirrels in SII. Pain in the a** to recruit them all, and only 1 of them was a star of destiny.

The chance to get Mukumuku practically right at the beginning of the game makes him FAR from useless. Even if he is a crappy fighter.
