"...it's a little hard to sleep in the middle of a hurricane."

"It is, isn't it?" Tsuki agreed, chuckling slightly, "But hey, something that doesn't happen everyday. I wonder what brought the storm on... a climate change, perhaps, or possibly the Gods... geh, I don't know which one to belie-"

She held back her tongue as she realised that Kiume still had a lot more to say on the tender subject of the past. It was only polite that she listen, and she found that listening in turn was a good way to wind down, to relax.

'I wouldn't forget', he had said, and Tsuki respected that. It took strength to remember a situation so terrible, and still be optimistic. He was still out there, living his life, moving forward.

"The sky tends to do that, doesn't it? It influences the moods of every creature under it. I suppose that's the beauty of it all, really... I'm rather drawn to it myself," she winked and grinned, "Blame the weather all you like. It sure made a mess of us tonight, didn't i-... oh, there I go again, my mouth's a motor, I swear," she blushed, and signalled Kiume to continue with a wave of her paw, "Go on."

She listened to his last few words attentively, deciding that this time, she would not interupt. Truth be told, she suddenly felt a little self-concious... Tsuki didn't want to make a bad impression. She decided to shake the feeling away - she didn't quite understand it, but it made her feel uncomfortable around Kiume, and when she relaxed she felt something completely different. It was nice to be able to talk to someone, besides her mother, about the universe. It was nice to have a chat about what was right and what was wrong, about strength, family and morals.

'I'm not all that strong really,' he had smiled, and Tsuki had opened her mouth in an impulsive bid to disagree. But he had yawned (prompting Tsuki to yawn herself), and she realised that she had probably kept him awake for far too long. Anyway, the idea of sleep was looking very attractive, right now.

She closed her eyes, pressing herself closer to Kiume in an attempt to keep the warmth between them. She felt a sudden bite of fatigue hit her, and slowly her mind began to wander, preparing itself for its launch into a dream.

"Not strong? Well, I thought you were very brave," she managed to whisper to the sleeping wolf beside her, before she, too, joined him in the realm of sleep.

Kiume's ears twitched at her last few words before being consumed entirely by sleep, and he smiled slightly. "Thanks..." he whispered, then went on with his sleep. Or...more like nap. He slept for about an hour, then woke up abruptly. The reminder of his past not too long ago brought a dream that hadn't come to him for the longest time back, and it caused his sleep to be rather restless. He lifted his head from his paws and took a look around the cave. The storm had eased since he'd fallen asleep, and now it was merely raining. "Mm.." he mused, then looked to his side. "Something about an odd meeting and conversation like ours makes me....a lot more comfortable around you, a complete stranger," he said quietly, then lowered his head and set it closer than he usually would had she been awake.

"Do you realize that you're the first female wolf I've met since I started roaming this area?" he said. It was odd, he realized, to be talking to someone who was sleeping. "Even if you were awake though," he laughed lightly, "You're just as easy to talk to." His eyes began to droop once more, and he fell asleep again soon.
