Valefor grimaced slightly when Rune was finished. "That's... the whole of the problem, really, isn't it? That Aear doesn't feel like he's good enough." She pondered for a long moment. "Is there any way we can counter that?"

Rune looked disheartened. "I really don't know." Her voice was barely above a whisper & yet still carried clear & easily. "I feel certain there is a way Seer could though, if this is really what she wants. AearHwesta will not run from her, and will drink up everything she says. If he's truly lost interest in other females, when away from her his thoughts won't be If we were to say anything I'm not sure it would register."
"I think Seer is her own best bet. He won't be able to resist, send away, or ignore her. And she's the only one that can convince him against what he believes, for she's the untouchable one. In a manner of speaking."

Valefor nodded slowly. "So then... it's a matter of convincing Seer to follow her own heart. And pursue that path, if it's what she decides." She laughed softly at the bittersweet feeling she was having. "And all I can do is support her and stand on the side and hope for the best. Ah... I did far too much of that in my Before for it to sit well with me. At least this time it's not a matter of who lives and who dies."

stand on the side & watch... that was all she had ever done in her own before. Yes, protecting Ellone. But she never came out & told Seifer she even existed... and now, here, she had not exactly made a good first impression having been overwhelmed with joy at having run into him. Not that she had seen the kitsu Seifer since. Which was nearly worse...
Rune sighed softly. "I can't help but ask though it's no business of mine... AearHwesta and Seer... they are not the only ones troubling your thoughts and heart, are they?"

Valefor looked up - when had she looked down? - and tilted her head, a small smile at play on her muzzle. "Ah... at the moment all those I failed to save are on my mind again. But as for the here and now?... Well, truth be told, I have a situation of my own not unlike Seer's. I've not had any confirmation as such but another dear friend of mine seems to have feelings for me. And I care for him... or I'm starting to, at least. But I'm obviously not over my relationship with Aear, and I don't want to ruin what might be by jumping in too soon. It's not so difficult as Seer and Aear's problem... more just a matter of waiting for my heart to settle. At least I think so. I'm not sure I trust my own judgements lately, I seem to have been tripping over myself with a great deal of frequency. It seems strange to me that I didn't notice Crow's feelings, or Aear's and Seer's, or my own. Used to be I would have seen..." She shook her head and shrugged. "I know what I'm doing about Crow, though. And somehow I think that helping Aear and Seer will help myself, as well. A strange sentiment?"

Rune smiled sympathetically and shook her head. "Not that strange. I hope it works well for you."
Her soft green gaze glanced off towards the port of Gambino. "For all of you. AearHwesta was the first kitsu I met, and he's been nothing but good to me. It would be wonderful to see him fully & blissfully happy."

Valefor smiled faintly. "As do I. I think... I'd best go have a chat with Seer. She might need some time to think things over, and I feel it is important that she have the opportinity to start as soon as possible. Strained long-term relationships... of any kinda... are unpleasant." She nodded to herself a bit and glanced back at Rune. "Perhaps we could chat again sometime under more relaxed circumstances."

Again a nod. She would like to see how Seer was doing herself, feeling a small bond after consoling her that one time, but realized there was nothing more she could add. "That does seem best. She's such a sweet kitsu..."
Rune smiled gratefully. "I'd like that." Being around Valefor even with the Aeon kitsu worried as she was reminded the White SeeD of having M'dir junctioned. Something about the wisdom of years & years behind the voice.

Valefor unfurled her wings, but paused thoughtfully for a moment before once again looking back at Rune. "Would you like to come over? I think Seer would be pleased to see you." She gave Rune a knowing glance before sliding her mask back on. "Mayhap be we could all use a little time to unwind."

Uncertainty washed over the gentle SeeD's classic face. "I.. would, but I do not think that it would be a place for me." Rune did not seem convinced. multiple things were tugging unfairly inside her. for one... she ws rarely asked places. "I would like to see Seer too..."
Unwind. Life had returned to normal -a broad term in this household- after finding Miaka's egg. Although she among other's could have throttled Tamahome for his part in what they discovered had been a charade. It had been easy to confuse the kits with thinking they had actually been attacked. Chase could indeed be very frightening. The only reason they did not throttle the father... was because of how distraught Miaka had been upon learning the truth. That he had done that to her was worse burden upon himself than anything the rest of them could inflict.
But had she unwound... no. Her vigils, her trainings she had increased. "Unwind...? Maybe..." Rune was swaying. Perhaps she should go...

"The Place is for anyone who needs it, whenever they need it, for as long as they need it. As long as they obey the few rules and make no enemies with the residents. You would not abuse such things." Valefor bobbed her head. "You can go with me now, or later. Whenever you feel the need. No one would mind. You could probably even get Hemi to apparate you."
She padded back over and gently butted the flat of her mask against Rune's shoulder. "If not else I doubt Seer would be at all opposed to coming back to visit after we talk. Perhaps all three of us could go somewhere else entirely?" She glanced up. "Maybe not today, with that threat of rain. But if not today then sometime, yes?"

She must be loosing it, being unclear in her meaning like that. Rune had been thinking no place in the situation, the conversation... not the locations. Locations meant little to her. At least here... there were Seifers. Other Runes that had succeeded in catching their attentions where she had stumbled. Not fair... you only saw him once and they lived in the same home. Still she knew her attempt though perhaps brave had been one mistake after another. The best thing she had done was leave.
The threat of rain... it had been pouring the day she ran into Seifer... "No. Today's fine. Maybe I can be of some assistance after all."
Rune stood fluffing her feathers and shaking out her tails. and ears. The rest of her fur was pretty well covered by her conservative uniform though the tattoo of elvish writing on her neck was still visible. Softly she let her thoughts 'speak' loudly to those inside that could perceive them. *I'll be back later. Don't worry for me.* She may no longer have the power that M'din gave her like she once had, but there were some things she remembered.

Valefor had known she meant the situation. She had simply done a poor job of saying that Rune was welcome to come over and hang out for a while if she didn't feel comfortable joining in on the conversation with Seer about what they had discussed.
Valefor nodded and waited a moment while Rune did her communicating before taking to the air, circling briefly until the SeeD had caught up with her before leading the way to the Place. As they neared she looked over her shoulder at the other and called, "Would you feel comfortable trying to land on the balcony where she and I usually do or would you prefer landing in the yard and going in through the front?"

It was good to be flying, wind in her face. Cleared her thoughts a bit. They tended to stray towards her fumble now instead of daydreams and Rune felt drained from them. Now that she was used to flying, the SeeD enjoyed it. Even with the gray day. Maybe because of it.
But she did not forget her mission, looking fully alert as Valefor called out her question. "Either will do. I will simply note to go in through the front door when I visit on my own."

Valefor thought for a moment. "Balcony, then. She was in her room when I left, and she said she didn't plan on leaving again today."
The Place came into view, plain white exterior masking the rather colorful nature of many of the rooms and all of the characters within. The balcony was easy to spot, as well; it was wider than normal and ran the entire length of one side of the building, a space obviously dedicated to any flying creatures that might happen to be staying.
Valefor went first, both to demonstrate the particulars of landing on the balcony and so she could open the door to the room and be out of the way for Rune's landing. Seer was dozing on the pile of cushy fluff that claimed to be pillows and blankets that served as a bed; she tended to squirm around a lot when no one was staying with her while she slept and had given her bed to Bryna in the end because Seer wound up rolling out of it more often than not. Not that Bryna used it any more than Seer had after getting the idea in her head from her father to sleep on cieling.
"Hello, sweetling. I'm back and I brought company." That pulled Seer the rest of the way out of her doze and she lifted her head to shake it awake and Valefor turned around to motion Rune into the space after she landed.
