Xanul frowned. It seemed a little stupid to him. Lives were very precious, very important, after all. The kit didn't comprehend the minds of these killers.
"How does it make your job interesting?" Xanul queried, his eyes flickering over to the scythe. He wasn't as stupid to touch it though; it was like the use of your wand. The wand chose its master, and may not work for others. Something disastrous may happen. Ayako had warned.

The Reaper chuckled at the question asked by the kit. How? Well it was quite clear that this pirticular kit had no imagination when it came to more morbid things. "It's the crazy killers that find the interesting ways to kill." he uttered slowly, his tails coiling up like a ball.
"They make death an interesting thing. Always coming up with new things. Playing mind games with the authorities. It can be quite entertaining for one like me." the robed skeleton nodded. "Even though the world changes so much, death is quite often the same. So collecting all the souls and making sure that people die when they are killed can tend to be quite the bore."

Well yeah, Xanul was quite innocent in a way. Hey, this was the kit who thought Saix and Grim was CUTE. CUTE! And he hadn't really met any crazy people yet.
The dark haired kit nodded. He didn't want to ask what kind of interesting ways those killers found. "So what do you do in your free time then?" He did wonder what Death did besides sitting here and smoking when he wasn't reaping souls.

Grim arched a brow, he certainly was not asked that question too often. Most of the time it had been about his job never about what he did when he was off the job. In fact the Reaper wasn't entirly sure as what to respond with. He'd say smoke, but he did that when he was working as well (well not always, but every now and then).
The skeleton seemed to be quite lost for words. Ever since he had stoped hanging out with Billy and Mandy he didn't really do much of anything when he was working. Well he did meet up with Mandy every now and then, though he hadn't seem Billy for a long long time now, something of which he was quite pleased about.
"Just relax," he finally spoke, "Watch TV, smoke, things like that."

Xanul didn't really care to know much about Grim's job. All he knew that this kitsu was Death, and that was that. He didn't want to learn about the gory details.
"Mmm?" The kit blinked. "You don't have any friends to play with?" Now that was an interesting question.

The skeleton almost seemed to choke at the question, his eye sockets growing wide. Friends? Him? Death had no friends! ...Ok well maybe that was a lie, but still. Why would anyone ever think that the Reaper would even consider having friends?
"I'm Death. I don't play, and they aren't really friends....More of nusances." he spoke, his mind focusing on Billy and Mandy. A grunt passed though his nostrils, ears twitching. "The only things I play anyways, is chess. Though I can never remember how those little horse shaped ones move." There wasn't much else that the Reaper seemed to enjoy. Most of the other games he had played when he was younger he couldn't quite play in the modern day. At least not without acedently killing someone. Which, unfortunatly for Death seemed to happen every now and then. Well there were those acedents and then there were the times he mistook people for someone whose time it was to die.
Well, there was the answer as to why the good die young.

Well, because friends were fun! You could play with them! And it was boring being on your own.
In Xanul's opinion, anyways.
"So you do have friends!" His eyes twinkled. "Besides, how do you play chess if you have no one to play it with?" The kit might not know much about the game, but he did know that it took two hands to clap.

The Reaper shurged, if the kid wanted to call the people he hung out with every now and then his friends then so be it. "I suppose." he uttered, his claws clanking against the ground. His face seemed quite blank as he looked to the kit. How? "You can play chess by yourself." he spoke, with a slight nod. Playing chess with himself was so much more challenging then playing with Billy. "Of course limbo is a great game too." That one however, was so much more entertaining when there was at least one other person to play with. Not that anyone could ever beat him. Hard to beat a walking skeleton at limbo.
...That Billy & Mandy thing with the hamster and limbo was a fluke! Never to happen again.

"You can?" Xanul frowned. "But playing with yourself is boring~" He preferred playing with others anyway. Xanul was a very social and friendly kit. He didn't much like being alone. He usually was, when he awoke earlier than his family, so that was why he went on adventures. "Limbo? What's that?" It sounded like an interesting game.

"Yes, you can." the Reaper confirmed with a nod. "Though yes, I suppose it isn't as great as when you're playing with an opponant other then yourself." The glowing blue orbs hovered glowing rather dull in the Reaper's eye sockets. "Limbo..." he spoke, his boney maw clamping together. The way Death played limbo did have some differences, though might as well explain the basic rules of the game. "Limbo's a game where you bend back as you walk under a stick, trying not to fall or touch the ground. Every round of the game the stick is lowered."

The kit shrugged this off with a flick of his tails. It was never fun being alone, in his opinion, that was. Games were made to play with other people! "Cool! Though won't you break your back in the process?" He said cheerily. "If you go far enough, that is~"

The Reaper arched a brow, decaying ears giving a gentle flick. "You would break your back if you went far enough, not me." That was the wonder of being dead, or whatever you'd call Death. Add that in with the fact that the guy was a skeleton and you had a master at the game of limbo. Of course it was even more entertaining that the Reaper could play limbo in Limbo, but really he only did that for show. "I can't break my back. Part of being a skeleton." He'd probably just fall apart, not that he was going to mention that.

The kit laughed. "True!" Golden eyes inspected Grim from head to toe. It was rather cool about being a skeleton. "Your bones won't break, then?" He quipped, arching an eyebrow at Death.

Oh how to explain this one? "It's not exactly that they can't break." he started off, giving his skeletal tails a flick as he mulled over ways to word things in his head. "They just aren't easy to break, and they heal pretty fast depending on the damage done." Blue orbs bobed up and down in his skull as he eyed the kit. "Only ever broken my bones in a fight. I'm more likely to fall apart then break any bones..." his voice grew softer as he finished his explination. Ok so he had decided that he wasn't going to mention, what he had just muttered, but well sometimes these things just came out. He really did need to think before he said certain things. He'd just hope the kid didn't hear that last part.

"Woahhhh." The kit's mouth formed an o. Uncle Grim was so cool! "Those are advantages of being Death, I suppose." You couldn't die, but then again, Xanul had never thought of dying. Hmm? What was that? His ears pricked up and then arched an eyebrow at the skeleton. "What did you say?"
