((For Allure, since I don't want to be inconsiderate and quote her long RP post XDDD))
Maize noticed the colt's gaze flicker towards her wings as she approached and snorted out in embarassment. She swung her tail back and forth several times, its ends dragging loosely on the ground while observing the other soquili. As he brought the flower to her, she hesitated for a brief moment that brought an awkward silence on her part in. She was stunned; was this a trick? Gradually, Maize bent down and sniffed the flower. Her eyes took in a quick peep at the colt while her head was low. At once, she realized that the colt had looked older than he actually was at this angle; in fact, he seemed to be much bigger than she had been when she herself was a foal. Snapping out of her trance, she gave him a humble smile and continued to bend down until she had reached and picked up the flower on the ground. As she raised her head up again, she carefully put the flower in the safe confines of her right wing, and tucked it in tight to make sure it wouldn't fall out. At last, she bowed and gave the young soquili an appreciative nicker. "Thank you," she said softly.

Sayuri_Nitta 'I knew that..' she grumbled, watching as the filly dipped a hoof into the edge of the flowing water. 'But you arent the only one of your kind...and I am as far as I know, the only one around this silly Village.' Nagual turned back to the mare, her ears drooped along her head in regret. "I am sorry about that. If I could change it, or show you otherwise, I definitely would. Unfortunately, I cannot even travel as far as you can in a certain time period, due to a lack of wings. Surely, whereever I can go, you could go faster and sooner."
Cheering up with her words, the filly smiled again, "But it is not the way to live... reflecting on things we cannot change. Wouldn't it be better to enjoy the time you have instead of thinking of 'have nots'?"

'I don't care, if I'm the only one then I am even more special.' Izusa said, showing off her terrible vanity. She splashed throw the shallows, the water clinging onto her shimmering pelt. 'Besides, I don't think the Village could cope with more then one of me. You are only the second Soquili who hasnt seemed just a little afraid of me.'

Sheer curiousity seemed to consume the young foal as his eyes gazed upon the winged Soquili. His mind swirled in the different thoughts, wondering how she came to be in such a way. The only time he interacted with something with wings, was when he found a few birds that had fallen from their nest one day. He approached them in a slow manner, and all he could remember were their frantic cries and chirps of fear. He lifted the birds up upon his nose and brought them slowly up upon a low-level branch, leaving them there so that their parents had a better chance in finding them. Dyre never knew what happened to those birds; but that sparking memory made him even more interested in this female Soquili. With an excited yet careful swish of his tail, he stomped his muddy front hooves upon the ground, nodding happily.
"You're .. welcome!" He grinned in a proud manner, still staring somewhat fixatedly upon her wings. With a slight tilt of his head, he moved a bit to get a better look at them. His mouth was held open a bit, and his words escaped slowly. "Are you ... part bird?" He questioned innocently. "Cause .. if you are .. could you tell those two other birds I hope they're okay? I just want to make sure they're alright." The innocence of his words was overwhelming, he generally thought that most people knew what he was talking about, without having to explain himself. Afterall, he had mostly been around his parents and whatnot for such a long time - and they always knew what was going on with him. He looked to her with large, curious eyes - wanting to know about her, and about the two little friends he tried to help that day.

Maize managed to smile at the young colt even though she was getting a little daunted by him as he seemed to brim full of excess energy. Why did he seem to enjoy stomping on the ground so much? And why were his eyes fixed upon her wings? She shifted around a bit uncomfortably, and when he got closer to take a closer peek at her wings, she backed up a bit. She was about to ask him if he were alright, as his snout seemed to be hanging open almost as if he were in a stupor. Before she could get a word out, he asked her the most ridiculous question she had ever heard of -- was she a bird? -- did he just ask that? She stared at him with a half-smile on her face and eyes full of concern for the poor little colt. He wasn't serious, was he?
"Are you asking me... Where I got my wings from?" she asked back nervously. She didn't enjoy talking about her wings much, as she got them from her mother -- one subject she strayed away from whenever brought up, and one that she wishes to remain far away, hidden within her mind. She solemnly lowered her head, feeling a bit crestfallen and ashamed of her wings... though she managed to leave on a stationary smile on her face -- no need to bring up depressing matters so soon.

This reaction was not what he was expecting, unfortunately. For some reason in the back of his mind he knew that he should not have said anything, but his undying curiosity that seems to plague almost all youths encouraged him to question her. He glanced downwards towards the ground, where he had stomped it before, and he lightly grazed the tip of his hoof across the grass, as to apologize for being too fierce. He wasn't a confused and rude foal, he was just a little too curious, and he pressed himself on as if he had no fear - to discover what information he wanted to know. But what he did know right now - was that this female seemed rather hurt and uncomfortable. Yet he had no idea why.
He would bring his head up slowly once more, letting that genuine smile return to his face. With a quick shake from left to right, he whinnied and took a few steps backwards. "Nevermind." He said rather cheerfully, as he bowed his head a bit. "My name is Dyre! .. Would you like to come play?" He queried, and, pausing just for a moment -he seemed to wait for her answer ... But instead, he took this opportunity to dash towards the water's edge yet again. He immediately jumped towards the rocky and sandy surface, frolicking in a merry manner; kicking up tiny stones and mini shells, letting the water splash in every direction. He waded into the water a bit further, just so it barely went beneath his kneecap, and he continued to play. He only took a mere moment to turn back and to see if the girl would accompany him.

A sudden flush of guilt swept over Maize, who suddenly felt that she made the colt before her uncomfortable -- was she that bad at hiding her feelings and emotions? It wasn't her intention to cause the young foal to back off his question... Ah, well. Perhaps another day he'll find out.
Dyre, the name resounded in her mind. She made sure that she would not forget this name in the future, as it seemed to hold a significant meaning to it, though she couldn't quite understand why. "...Play?" she asked back, confused. Before she could reply with a yes or no, Dyre had already started to prance within the shallow part of the lake. She smiled, his antics amusing her. Does he ever stay still? She was impulsively drawn to the lake by the colt, and as her hooves made contact with the wet surface of the water, she carefully began to shift her wings up to a higher level on her body so they wouldn't accidentally get wet. She had never stepped foot into the actual lake before -- the closest she had gotten to it before was when her mouth touched the calm surface in order to quench of thirst.
Still, as she continued to follow after Dyre into the water, she couldn't help but wonder what he wished to "play" with her. What could you possibly play with in the water? You use the water to nourish your body; not play. As she stepped further in, she swished her tail around a bit. The ends of it drifted peacefully in the water, and it felt good. She gave it another two flicks to swirl in the cooling water before she finally approached Dyre again, and asked, "What do you want to play... Dyre?" She paused for a moment, and added, "...And my name is Maize."

The filly looked like a drowned rat where the water clung. She ignored it, not really knowing what she looked like at the moment; nor did she really care.
"The second? I would imagine more. Are the incredible differences that bad to them that they cannot see the beauty? Regardless, the loss is on their part, not yours." She dropped her head and took a sip of water, relishing the feel of the freshfully cold water as it trickled down her throat.

It was peculiar..despite her assured arrogance in her looks, she was also still slightly uncertain of herself...far back in her confused conscience that is. 'Well thank you,' she said, stepping out of the water again, her voice uncommonly gentle. She snapped out of it, and shook her mane. 'I see their fear because of my differences.' she said.

Nagual lifted her head and turned to the mare when she heard the unexpected 'thank you'. Water dripped from her whiskers. The current curled around her legs and the wind tossled her short mane and tail.
The filly gave an impish smile, her eyes twinkling, "Well Izusa, miss Kalona currently of nearby the Kawani Village.... should I fear you because of your differences?"

Izusa snorted; 'No you should fear me because I might n** you with these,' and she showed her fang teeth, before splashing water at the filly. She found herself actually liking this spotted foal...which was annoying to her as she promised herself not to befriend any of the normal Soquili.

Somewhere around the other side of the lake a young woman stepped out from the woods. Looking across the glistening water, the blinding sun reflecting a mid afternon shine, she saw many beautiful soquilis enjoying themselves under the sun. The sight was breath taking, such grace and spirit each one showed. She knew that she should never even try to interact with these gorgeous creatures because none were familier to her but just looking at them filled her heart with happiness.
Tadewi was her name and having come here for some to relax she very quietly and carefully edged her was down onto some rocks jutting out into the lake. Makeing sure to stay a large differance away from the majestic animals she set herself down letting her shoeless feet dangle over gently stroking the water.
For a while she just let the warm sun soak gentally into her skin. Soon after however she carfully pulled out a wooden flute her sister had made fir her and gentily started to play a simple relaxing melody. Letting the harmonious notes filler her soal and the gracious breeze play in her hair she sat continuing her rhapsody.

Nagual saw the flash of fang before she was splashed with water. For all she knew, though, it was really just the specific was the sun glinted off the Kalona's teeth. The filly grumbled about being wet, the water soaking some parts of her coat but not others. "Awww...how am I going to impress anyone now?" she chuckled and shook her fur, making it worse. The wet parts stuck out while the dry stayed flat. Catching her reflection in the water, Nagual laughed harder.
Because her legs were too thin and knobby, her tail too short and hair-like, Nagual had nothing at her disposable to repeat the favor... well, that didn't stop her. Dunking her head in the water and closing her eyes, the filly tried to get Izusa wet. her attempts were pretty pathetic, as with her eyes closed she didn't have good aim.

A nicker of laughter was given, as Dyre dunked his head into the water for a moment. Het let his head swish around, and be taken by the slight force of weight from the liquid - then he quickly reared it back up. A stream of glittering water glistened through the air, like an arrow pointing behind him, as he pulled his head towards the lower end of his neck. With a grin, and a glance being shot at her, he shook his head from left to right, attempting to rid it of as much water as possible. He was amused by her questions, and by her name. It was very unique, he liked it.
"Play .. You know," He nodded, then stomped his hoof playfully in the water, creating another glorious splash. "Have a little fun!" With that, he kicked his legs in the water, and started going in circles. He felt so refreshed around the life giving liquid, after all, he grew up around a watersource himself. He harrowed his lush green eyes, still smiling; he could sense that she was becoming somewhat used to the water. "Maize ... I like that. I'll remember it."
Then suddenly, he brought his head up straight - in an attentive manner. His ears perked upwards, then to the right, towards the crowded forest. It was as if he heard something - something calling him back. His vision softened as he looked back to Maize. "I'm sorry.. But I have to go. I promise you I will return. And then we'll play." He smirked. He hesitated a moment, as if waiting for a response - then he jutted out of the water, trickles and droplettes following him with his fast pace. Hooves thudded against the wet and softened earth - but soon he was gone, just another shadow amongst the trees.

Maize smiled happily at Dyre -- such life packed into one! She could not help but... allow his... horseplay to make her smile and brighten up. However, she felt a little awkward letting go of her composure to have insensible fun in the water. But the young soquili didn't seem to mind - he himself seemed to not be afraid of making a fool of himself, prancing around in the water like that.
She blushed inwardly as he mentioned his liking to her name. It was the last type of compliment she thought anyone would have given her -- a compliment for her wings, yes, perhaps... but a compliment for her name? Dyre was such an odd but interesting soquili. She was about to thank him, but noticed his ears suddenly p***k. What happened? She tried looking in the direction his ears pointed to, but to no avail; she couldn't see anything distinguishable from the green forest. But when the colt brought it to her attention that he had to go, she realized that there was an invisible connection that she was oblivious to -- the connection between soquili and man.
Nodding slowly, his words of promise imprinted themselves in her mind. "I'll keep you to that," she softly said, but he was already gone from view, and she suddenly felt a pang of sadness, and did not know where it had come from.
