HistoryWak Describe each console according to genre of music. List the consoles: Xbox 360 Wii PS3 and put next to them the genre(s) of music that best describes the attitude of the console/ describes the (types of)people who play each console. Feel free to discuss and argue with one another. mrgreen I'd say Ps3 is rap, considering the fact that it is shunned by most but by the same token, but is supported very highly by its supporters. Xbox 360 is metal, its games are hardcore and mature, it's players are usually older, and it's got a large influence on the gaming world. Wii is shitty pop music that you hear on commercials for cell phones or something. Because EVERYONE can enjoy it! biggrin

German metal is "trendy"? neutral @ Sakyh: Yeah, I can see what you're saying. I was thinking of comparing the Wii to the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40, but changed my mind.

I think she just means that the system is complicated like (apparently) death metal. Although I'm not sure what's so complicated about death metal. Slam on a few power chords over and over and belch some indescernible lyrics into the microphone. Also, you have to be Eastern European, male, and ugly. "The gift of death metal does not shine on the good-looking." Metal represents Chaos so if you all want to see PS3 as chaotic....
Eh, the stereotypical metal maybe.
Metal is just like all other genres of music. Not all country music is about sexy tractors, not all pop is about "omg! i luv her so much!", etc, etc.

360: Somewhat known, Won least two Grammys for something.
Wii: Annoying trend bands like Panic! or Avril.
I aint saying the Wii is annoying. *Huggles Wii* But it does remind of me those ugh trend bands.

If so, yeah, man, disagree away. The closest thing I have ever come to to really listening to metal is Static-X and Dragonforce. I don't understand the genre so I certainly can't make valid commentary on it. mrgreen Still... Static-X is pretty rockin'... but they kinda strike me as the "pretty boys" of the whole metal scene...

I wanna find something I've wanted all along.... I can't chose anything sweatdrop Because I want to go by the type of games each system has and all of them usually have quite a variety. So I'd have to say just about every genre of music for each. But I'd probably be pretty close with what Arvis and Sakyh think. ....Somewhere I belong

But I'd probably be pretty close with what Arvis and Sakyh think. ....Somewhere I belong Yeah... I think everyone here are doing it on a different basis. Which is why it's like this. Some are relating the music to the type of games aviable on the system. Others are judging it by the type of gamers that play it. And some are just relating how they view the console personally to a type of music they view the same way. I took it the most literal like what does the console do and how it does it. Which is why I couldn't understand anyone saying the PS3 is anything but soft music.
