Lowering his head slightly the male stepped forward, "Inflicting pain will be simple after you learn how to, being a healer you know how to mend the wounds. Opening fatal wounds will be easy once you're comfortable with the tactics."

Crunch moved around Alas with stiff circular movements, his blue tail arching with the form of his circling body. The blue eyes were piercing and looked to be on the edge of restrained sanity.

"The first instinct to pull away from any attack. This instinct is fatal at any angle be it the side," his jaws made a loud snap towards her flank, "paws," this time the snap came from the front left near the leg. "Paws or legs are crucial for us, because being quick and response in a hunt is our life. A broken leg can lead to infection or death to the most extreme."

The male brought his muzzle up towards the light pink inner ear, "Or the most dangerous place to struggle is the neck." With one swish of his tail, Crunch moved back in front of Alas.

"Once I step back I want you to come at me from any angle that you desire. I'll show you the quickest way to disable an opponent first with little damage, then if they don't back off. Permanently." His darker blue eyes stared straight into Alas's softer blue ones.

"Come."

Alas struggled not to lower her head, not to slink back, but it was hard Crunch was an alpha through and through and she couldn't help but recognize it. She fought the responses and kept her eyes level with his carefully following his movements and noting how and where he snapped. She knew the dangers of infection in hard to reach places the risk if broken bone did not mend straight.

She shuddered slightly as Crunch spoke into her ear his powerful jaws were so close to her life source, but she had to have faith, had to trust in the good in some the way she had understood the wickedness in others. She took a deep breath and gave a firm nod.

Libenalas watched as the male backed away and decided she would go low, she hoped that wouldn't give the male a chance to crouch, and if he did she could hopefully roll out of the way. She paced a moment before dropping her body low to the ground and rushing to slide under him to carefully grab under his muzzle to his throat. She couldn't bring herself to snap fear that she could actually injure him held back the swiftness of her response.

Crunch didn't move, he was stationary completely though his eyes never so much as blinked as they stuck to the smaller femme. He could see she was restraining herself and then with her smaller agile frame leaping forward so close to the ground. The male shook his head once and rolled over to the right at the last minute. Her teeth did grace his neck tuff before rolling out of her weakened clutches.

If she had been going at full force he probably wouldn't have had the chance to react, but being soft was obvious Libenalas's trade. Though rolled over, he came back in an offensive crouched position, ears were up showing no real danger, but eyes were distant.

"Alas, don't go soft on me. Winter is coming, our fur is thickening and in order to learn. Bring full force, come at me as if I was that very lynx trying to kill you. Survival of the fittest." He barked out, disappointment in his lecture like voice.

Alas took a deep breath and crouched down. "I'm sorry Crunch, but...I'm afraid I might actually harm you...I know what kind of blood loss can occur..." she took anotehr breath and tried to envision instead that evil scheming lynx.

Alas launched herself to one side not using the same motion twice instead of going low she leapt high to try and pounce Crunch's back and get a hold on the scruff of his neck. She tried to think of it as Algoma and not Crunch and though her jaws held firm this time she knew if she tasted even a hint of blood she would drop back no matter what Crunch was not Algoma and she couldn't hurt him the way she wanted to take down that lynx.

This time the male watched and closing his eyes, trying to give Alas the chance to assume an ambushing tactic like the one her frame was crying out. The male stiffened as he felt her presence towards the ever so sensitive back side. He was trying to envision himself doing something else and when Alas pounced on him.

The thickness of his coat prevented the breaking of skin, but he could feel her warm smooth teeth on his flesh. Within the moments of her attack, his head curled under and he went for the femme's legs. Even with half of her on his back, the hind legs were still exposed. Restraining his bite, he locked his jaws gently and then rolled to his side.

It would pin anything on that side to the ground and allow the defender the chance to take the upper paw in the one-on-one ambush, though the blue tuff concealed the slight broken skin to the back of the neck. Crunch would have to explain the rolls and ways to properly use them, and such to Alas in the next step. Though right now it was a show of how to prove dominance in an unpredicted event.

"Better," he growled having let go of the back leg, but still particularly laying on his side, whither on Alas only matter on if he actually pinned her down. Hopping off of the defenders back was a norm, but a back leg could prevent the easy escape.

Alas paid careful attention even as Crunch rolled her down. She was careful to remain loose and relaxed to take in what was being taught instead of getting tense with her hind leg in such a vulnerable position. She nodded with a slight huff as Crunch let go of her leg.

"The lynx will be more felxible...I'll have to take better care..." she sighed and tried to focus first step was to take in what Crunch taught her, her moment with Algoma would have to come eventually, she wasn't going to let the lynx pick on her young alpha forever.

She leaned over Crunchs neck carefully to make sure he was alright.

"That is true, the feline can climb trees as well and attack from the sun ward post. So keep your nose open."

Not actually seeing her look over, he stood up again. This time sitting down a couple steps off and looking at the soft pink and white female with deadly serious eyes. "As you can tell, I use a roll alot to dislocate my opponent from my back and to escape easy attacks.

"However, if in a large fight, don't go to the ground. It will be your death. Large fights consist of more then one opponent and if you are a single defender; don't turn your back to any enemy, no matter the size. Undermining your enemy can be just as fatal as a crippling blow." Crunch was sharing more information with Libenalas then he had with his siblings. He only had wanted his sisters to learn how to hunt properly, and his brother to undergo a tad bit of fighting skills. Snickers was too much of a lover to really care about safety.

"Again? Or would you like to know something that seems like the most common sense neglected in a fight?"

Alas nodded in agreemnet with Crunch she had forgotten that the lynx would be able to climb trees, luckily if she attacked in the pack territory there werent any trees around just the cliffs, and the ocean.

Libenalas stood and shook off sitting across from Crunch and taking in what he said carefully. "Whats most neglected?" she was eager to learn as much as she could, she had the feeling she was gonna need it.

Meanwhile she was watching Crunch's pose trying to envision the way Algoma had stood and walked and moved and envisioning the weak spots.

"If fighting any eared animal, getting a hold of their ear is their weakness. If they don't have ears, and aren't gifted, then anything that deals with blocking the use of their mouth with render the animal incapable of fighting back. Though the mouth is only workable with other canines, for the bears and lynxes have claws." Crunch enlightened. He had watched several other species move around as much and often as his own pack. They all showed weakness in some fashion, just the cautionary eye found it.

Looking at Alas he could almost see her thinking of something. Adding up the figures and calculating the potentials. "Don't ever let your guard down, not even when surrounded by the most trusted ally. When growing up I heard an elder say, 'Hold your friends close, but hold your enemies closer'. So be careful when you go back." Crunch tilted his head mentally. Why was he caring so much for this female? She wasn't blood, but she was a friend to his sister. That was it, friendship was the concern in question here.

Alas nodded quietly at every bit of Crunches advice keeping it in mind and considering how she would deal with fangs and claws. She knew that Algoma was a killing machine but the lynx killed prey animals not the kind that would fight back with all they had. She hoped that what Crunch taught her and her ideas on reverse healing, causing damage, would be enough.

She walked over and sat beside Crunch giving him a light careful nudge and licking his muzzle in gratitude. "I don't want to have to fear...worry...always be so tense when I'm around my friends, but I know what you say is true that maybe I should be. It's just...I try so hard to see whats good in everyone, that lynx is the first time I've really come across anyone I would even consider wanting to...hurt" She didn't wnat to kill Algoma after all...did she? She hoped not she didn't want to kill anyone she just wanted them to be better, kinder, happier.

Turning his head away from the grateful licking of his muzzle, Crunch moved his ear about on the opposite of Alas. He didn't want any of his siblings to see this odd display of kindness to a strange allied she-wolf. Standing up the male edgily paced about.

"I can't understand such a positive out look of life, but I guess I really haven't tried such a feat. Just the same try to stay at least a bit cautious. If not for yourself then the ones your are charged with." Crunch looked at Alas the red lightning around his eyes a bit softer then normal, but just as edgy as his pacing.

She nodded and watche dthe male unable herself to understand how he lived with the opposite outlook, but she supposed he at least had his family. Alas streached carefully before standing and moving back infront of Crunch.

"Again?" Her muscles tensed a bit before she relaxed and crouched back trying to put herself back in the mindset of needing to learn for when the time came. The trouble was Alas was pretty sure to escape the lynx she would have either throw her off the slippery cliffs, get to her tender stomach, or her neck. Chucking her into the waters was probably the easiest, but Algoma would survive and surley come after her. Her stomach would be nearly impossible to get to with four clawed paws and the flexibility to protect herself not to mention her fangs. The same issue applied to the lynx's neck.

With such thoughts swirling through her mind she felt nervous and frustrated that she should have a need for such agression at all, but slowly she calmed herself. Alas moved her gaze to meet Crunch's and slowly allowed her worries to seep away so she could pay attention.

Stopping in the midst of his pacing Crunch looked down at Alas. He only blinked twice before shaking his head. "How about you defend this time, and I learn the simple movement of your instinctual actions. If you are going to fight, I have a feeling the lynx will need to attack you first."

Crunch had watched Alas and this was the verdict he had came to. Offense was important, but in order to become offensive you had to live past the initial ambushal attack.

Alas nodded and stepped back trying to relax and act as she would in a casual pack setting. She moved around slowly before sitting down and attempting to relax. She averted her gaze hoping for the most natural reaction and letting her mind wander for a bit.

Her nose twitched and she imagined that her only warning would be Algoma's scent, that would put her on alert...unless the salt air of their homeland disguised it.

Crunch didn't rush straight in. He simply moved to a different place and as Alas laid down. The male disappeared into the trees making a wide radius around the femme's location.

When he finally stopped, the blue male was directly twenty yards to Alas's right. Slowly at first the male began to advance on the soft female, his mind placed her as a threat to his family and territory. The only thing that Crunch had going for him was he seemed to have two minds that worked interchangeably. One worked on instinct, the other worked with his end of reason.

Crouching low the male slowly moved forward, steading himself to sprint out towards the suddenly wretched creature in his territory. Though keeping in mind that this creature was actually a wolf he was coming to know and was a friend to the runt of his family.
