Tamba smiled broadly at the youngster, thinking a little encouragement could go a long way. But Chozi wasn't his youngster to raise, so it wasn't his place to give the boy dreams or aspirations he may never fulfil. He was snapped back to reality as Fedha came into view shortly before Chozi announced who it was.
The cub's father.
Tamba rose to his feet and took a strong but not confrontational pose, something that just came naturally to him now that he'd grown into his ego and 'leadership skills' a bit.
"Greetings."

Fedha eyed Tamba a moment, not knowing he was kind of the pride that his mate wanted to be in. He almost sneered at the other, he really hated speaking to other lions, but held himself cool and aloof in front of his son. Ausi would kill him if he gave their children any of his habits.
He dipped his head lightly in greeting, then touched his head to the top of Chozi's small body.
Chozi had moved himself in front of fedha, purring and rubbing at his legs. After a minute he sat at his fathers feet, facing Tamba. "This is.." He paused a minute so he could remember the full name. "Tambuzi. He's king... didn't momma want to meet the king?"
Oh great. Now he was stuck talking. "Good afternoon." He replied, smiling awkwardly down at Chozi. "Yes, your mother wanted to. Have you been playing nice?" He didn't want to talk about meeting kings. He frowned slightly. If Tambuzi was a king that would technically place him in 'more important' on the social ladder in Fedha's head. And he couldn't deal with anyone 'more important' than him.
"Thank you for looking after my son. You're king in these parts?"

Tamba wasn't always very good at picking up on another lion's attitude, particularly anything subtle, buthe did get a slight reluctance or hesitation in the boys father. It didn't really bother him though. There were all kinds of lions in the world, friendly and not so friendly, and even the friendly ones could get put-off by the title 'king.'
Tamba kept polite though, smiling at Chozi and Fedha.
"He's no trouble at all, a delight to talk to," he said with a warm tone to his voice. "And yes, that be me. Ruler of the Bahari'mtoto. A pleasure to meet you."
And he bowed to the pale lion.

Chozi was oblivious to his father's mood, but that would be expected of one so little. He waited patiently while the grown ups talked, obviously not knowing what to contribute to the 'adult' conversation. He purred and let his gaze wonder toward the ocean, content as he was.
Why wasn't Ausi here now? "Yes he is quite the little.." He eyes Chozi a moment. "Joy." He gave a tight smile, though it wasn't unkind. He did love Chozi, really. He just had trouble relating to the little ball of kindness. Actually, Chozi was much more like Ausi when she was young. "Takes after his mother." He said slowly, tail flicking.
So he was ruler and Fedha was just some stranger, he didn't like that. He had to play nice though, for Ausi. He'd do anything for Ausi, he'd found. But it was wearing on him, he grew tired of this lackidasical life style. Fedha always craved more in life though, since he was a cub. He had been born far beyond his time... Ausi knew all of this though, she always did. She had always waited for him, and now it was his turn to be the waiter. For a little while, at least.
"Yes so it is." He bowed back out of due respect. Fedha didn't see pleasure in meeting anyone anymore. He used to get pleasure in the gods... and other seers. Now he just... well... he was a little lost, to say the least. No longer did he respect or think the gods something special... not after almost dying at the paws of one. No longer did he aspire to become a god... but what did he aspire to? Perhaps teaching Tabaradi the ways of the seeing eye of the mind would be good enough. Who knew? No longer did visions fill his sleeping mind as often as they had in the past... Waiting, waiting.
"My mate is very interested in meeting you, perhaps she has already." He gave a light shrug and slowly sat himself so his paws were to either side of his smallest son. "She finds your territory very stunning... indeed, it is." He was growing more easy, it was okay to talk about scenery. "We grew up to a place close to water.." He explained, though the mistweavers had long since been dried up. "So it is nice to be close to something so simular." Ah what should he say to wrap this up? He wasn't sure. His eyes flicked back the way he'd come, toward the direction of the boarders. Oh right... he'd hardly introduced himself, had he?
"Pardon, I forget my manners. I am Fedha'Kialio." He finally stated, not giving any shortened version the king could call him as many lions usually would. "Is your pride very populated?" Yes, this was good. Find out information for Ausi.
Chozi was growing bored quickly, boy did his father talk a lot! He'd never said this much to him! But what could you expect from such a little thing? Not many cubs had the ability to sit still. "Papa is a seer!" he exclaimed, finally wanting to take part in the conversation. "Do you know what that is?" Chozi didn't really understand it.. his brother was one too and Taba had tried to explain it as well, but it was beyond the little one's head.
Fedha almost hushed Chozi about that, he really had no interest telling other's of his abilities anymore. It no longer gave him the satisfaction that it once had. He waited though. That was his life now... wasn't it?

"Ah yes, I have one or two that are too much like me or too much like their mother," he chuckled, thinking the fact that both were fathers might unite them a little.
Whatever a male could be in his life - hunter, king, seer, guard - there was one thing they would always be one day. A father. There was still a coolness to Fedha that was mildly unsettling to Tamba, but he maintained that it was simply because he was in a new environment, talking to a new lion.
"Oh? Well you can tell her to seek me out any time. Its always a pleasure to meet new lions, particularly those that want to stay," he beamed at Fedha. "And yes, the Big Water has her own allure, her own mysteries. Many lions have been brought to these shores already."
Tamba might have been seen as a bit chatty, he was very laid-back now and any air of importance he had tried to bestow on himself had vanished. He was about to return the polite greeting to Fedha when his son piped up.
"A seer? Well...don't meet many of those in a lifetime..." he said with a very strange tone of voice. It was a mixture of being impressed and being slightly reserved.
Tamba had never met a seer before.

Chozi's head tilted to the side as if he was confused. Did he mean that his father's special abilities were not common? Chozi just assumed they would be... though he didn't have anything special about him and neither did his mother... he didn't know about his brothers or sisters though.
"Dad.." He whined. "I'm going to go play.." He grinned and nuzzled into his leg, turning to the king and nodding his head. "See you around!" And with that he was dashing off.
Fedha tried to tell Chozi to wait and stay but he'd gone about everything too fast! Fedha grunted and sighed, offering the king a slight smile. "Another hour of following him around I suspect." His tail flicked a little and he watched the other male, letting it settle to an awkward silence.
He'd tell Ausi that the king wanted to meet her... probably would make her day. He knew all about the allure of water, he was from a land of water after all. "Well." He finally said, grinning slightly. It wasn't a very friendly grin, more or less it was 'what now' type of creepy smile.

Tamba had to chuckle at Chozi's antics, reminded so much of his own brood. He nodded to the youngster in a polite farewell. And even Fedha's comment made him smirk. Another thing Tamba could fondly remember, he was so protective of his cubs. They didn't leave the den until HE was ready.
"It looks like the rest of your day shall be busy," he smiled to the other male. "I shall leave you to it, trailing after energetic cubs can be more draining than one realises. But it was a pleasure to meet you Fedha. I'd be most happy to meet again, and pass the invitation to your mate as well."
He tried to stay polite, with an air of regality again, but admittedly, he was somewhat excited and very curious about Fedha and his talents.

Fedha nodded and rolled his eyes slightly, sighing. "Yes, a long day." He repeated and did not sound so happy about that. After a moment he forced a chuckle though because fathers were supposed to enjoy this sort of thing, right? "Well until we meet again." He nodded and bowed slightly before stalking off after his son.
