I'm currently looking at people's tools to make sure they're balance, so no ones tool is too strong compared to everyone elses starting off. If you think it is please let me know.

Just a note for those considering joining as a God Chosen.
Currently 4 out of the 7 spots for God Chosen are filled. In about a week or two I'll be closing down apps for God Chosen, since I want the God Chosen to start around the same time. All unfilled God Chosen spots will be NPCed. Innocent Bystanders will still be accepted.
So, anyone wanting to be a God Chosen and take one of the remaining 3 spots left should send me their apps soon!!!
((Actually it might be only 2 spots left since I've received another app))

Just so you guys all know-I have to leave for a trip and won't be around until the 15th. That should give everyone enough time to make their beginning post. Everyone who hasn't already please post by 10/14/07.
If you no longer want to be apart of the game just send me a PM. Anyone who I have already accepted who hasn't posted already will be removed from the game if no post has been made by 10/14/07.
If you are still interested in joining as a God Chosen make sure to send me your app by 10/14/07. On 10/15/07 I will close all apps for God Chosen, though I will remain open for Innocent bystanders.

I'm back. And tomorrow we shall get some more action going in the RP. Unfortunately we have lost a player, but on a good note we have several players on their way to acceptance or already accepted.
Please welcome Elesariin!! Our newest player!
And we have 2 more profiles being looked at and one is already on its way to completion. It looks like I won't have to NPC any of the GodChosen.
Also the game is officially closed to GodChosen. I will accept innocent bystandards and if you have a unique character you think I might love please send it my way. Outstanding RPers I'll make exceptions for characters that might help to make the plot even more interesting, though they can not be GodChosen.

So far Vy is the only one who's posted here. Tradition Break! Hello!
I have one question; what happens if a character refuses to participate? Do they automatically lose, or what?

Well, I was assuming that they would act as a God Chosen whether they accepted the fact or not, so let's say refuse to participate in a particular fight.

A player is allowed to refuse a fight 3 times. One the forth time they have to accept the fight or they forfeit a shard.
e.g. Conner charges Sharon to battle. Sharon says no. Bobby asks Sharon to fight. Sharon refuses, Mike asks to fight, Sharon refuses. Tom asks, Sharon has to either accept or forfeit the shard to Tom.
It seems like a lot of chances to say no, but every time this person refuses that means they are loosing the opportunity to get stronger, so meaning that players around them will be getting stronger while Sharon stays weak therefore eventually when Sharon has to accept a fight she might be at a disadvantage. This is to help keep players in a situation where they don't have to always fight but also doesn's prevent other players from developing.
What isn't allowed is this.
e.g. Conner asks Sharon to fight. Sharon says no. Conner again asks Sharon to fight. Sharon says no.
A person isn't allowed to ask in a row for the same person that refused them to fight. So Conner cna't keep asking Sharon to fight until they get to the fourth try where she has to fight him.
He can ask again after she has already refused someone else.
e.g. Conner asks Sharon to fight., Sharon says no. Tom asks and Sharon says no. Conner can then ask again.
I will of course regulate this since, this does lend to two people teaming up on a person, but also hey, that is part of the game. If there is a complaint people are always welcome to PM me and I will look into the situation.
Also a refusal IC and a refusal OOC are two different things. The person at the bottom of their post types in all Caps,
CONNER VS. SHARON (then either DICE or POST QUALITY)
The person this is directed to types ACCEPTANCE or REFUSAL
The reason for this is so that in the post a person can still play their character the way they would react such as saying no or being reluctant though they still plan to fight.
On a side note- if a person chooses POST QUALITY please discuss in the OOC not the game section, who will judge the fight, before the person Accepts. When Accepting a Post Quality fight the person accepting puts up
ACCEPTANCE-JUDGE: (who ever judges; remember that I will always judge a fight when asked, but other people don't have to if they don't want to)
Make sense? I think I'll add this to the battle section.

Welcome to the final God Chosen of GodSoul- Thaesimir and Takerucoh.
On a new note the hit points and tools damage are up so this means that official battles can begin. It gives a quick overview of soul fragments and hit points and how much damage a tool does.
Before fighting please make sure to look over the battle system.
As many will see that despite history or tool everyone starts off on an even playing field with the same amount of hit points, fragements and their tool can only do +1 damage. Of course this will change, but that depends on the player/character.
Post quality, use of shards and winning battles alll help to give more hit points or a tool that will give more damage.
So have fun!
Remember if you have any problems you can PM me or as always post it here in OOC.

blaugh Thanks! That clears it up. I mean, I knew you were allowed to refuse three times, but I wasn't sure what counted as refusing. Actually, I'm still not sure. *ahem* What counts as refusing? Like, if the character doesn't know it's a challenge, does it count? sweatdrop Sorry.

refusal not IC but at the bottom of the post you state whether you refuse or accept the challenge with-REFUSAL OR ACCEPTANCE.
So IC your character can refused but still end up fighting as long as at the bottom of your post you state -
ACCEPTANCE
refusal and acceptance only depends on what you state at the bottom of the post.
e.g.
Conner walked into the bar. As soon as he saw Brian he knew that he was one of the chosen. Purposedly he moved over to Brain and sat down by him, ordering a drink as Brian sipped his vodka.
CONNER vs. BRIAN-DICE
Brian looked down at his glass , watching the ice cubes knockagainst one another. For a moment he was quiet. Once he spoke he didn't look at the man next to him.
"I'm not looking for any trouble."
ACCEPTANCE
----
So despite Brian refusing IC he is stating that he will do battle with the player. IC refusal or acceptance has nothing to do with whether the player decides to do a fight. It all depends on someone issuing a challenge in the above way and a person accepting or refusing the challenge.
Better?
