Tanner looked to Iah, then to Don as if seeking his aproval.
Don chuckled lightly and nodded, "Go ahead kiddo, have fun." He said.
Tanner took his thumb out of his mouth and toddled over to Iah and looked up to him and said softly, "M'kay."
"Hmm? Oh well I'm a yoga instructor, I guess it kind of comes with the job." He said with a laugh to Kaiyumi. "I've always been pretty flexible, but yoga has really moved it along, plus it's really relaxing." He said standing up again now warmed up. "So looks like we're on a team then." He said to Kai with a smile.

Smiling down at Tanner, the boy pat him on the head. "Lets do our best, hm? We can beat them if we try." Then, he rose his arms over his head of a moment, stretching. "This will be fun!"
Kaiyumi blinked in surprise, her head still cocked to the side. "You're a yoga instructor?" The young woman repeated, sounding rather surprised. "Isn't yoga...kinda hard? Looks kind of painful for someone like me, too." She grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head.
"And yup, the same team!" She rose a hand to give the man a salute. "I'll try my best, Mr. Piano!"

"M'kay." Tanner said again not wanting to let the boy down. Tanner watched Iah stretch and then tried to immitate it, thinking it was some how part of the game.
"Yeah, it can be pretty hard, it takes years of practice, but it's fun." He said then laughed, "Please, you can call me Don." He said to the strange little woman.

Chuckling softly as he watched Tanner, the boy stood upright again, only to bend down a second later to retrieve the basketball by his feet. Holding it out to Tanner, he smiled. "Want to start? Just bounce the ball on the ground, and try to throw the ball into that net." He indicated the basketball net. "You can pass it to me too, if you want, and I'll pass it back."
"Certainly looks like fun." She agreed, before nodding. "Mmkaaaay, Don it is, then!" Turning to look at Iah, she nodded, throwing her arms into the air. "Ready!"

Tanner looked at the ball and processed the rules in his head. He didn't know how good he was going to be, but he wanted to at least try to not let down Iah. "Kay, Ah'll try." He said to Iah and recieved the ball from him. He looked around at everyone before starting off bouncing the ball and heading towards the hoop, the wrong hoop.

Whoops.
Maybe he should have been more specific when he said to throw the ball into the net. Jogging slowly after Tanner, he turned towards Don as he was passing by. "...Er, mind if we switch the hoops?" He asked, gaze flickering towards Tanner again. It was the kid's first time, and it was Iah's own fault for having not mentioned which hoop was theirs, and which was the other teams.

Don laughed a little watching his little boy try and 'run' towards a hoop. "Sure, no problem with me. How bout you Kai?" He said going out towards the middle of the court and watching Tanner still learn.
Tanner was still wadling towards the hoop then noticed Iah trying to catch up to him, he stopped and turned to the boy and looked up at him with his big innocent brown eyes. "Do you want a tuwn?" He asked not sure why Iah was following him so he held the ball up for him.

Having watched Tanner with a grin, Kaiyumi shook her head when Don spoke. "Nope, doesn't bother me one bit. I did the same when I was first learning." She made a face, before moving towards Iah.
Startled when Tanner turned and spoke to him, Iah shook his hands quickly, laughing. "No no, it's okay. You're doing a good job, so keep going! Just try tossing it into that hoop now." He encouraged, this time actually motioning towards the new hoop.

Tanner nodded to Iah then he started back over towards the hoop bouncing the ball every now and again like a toddler would that didn't understand the concept of dribling. Tanner came up to the hoop and then he tried his best to throw the ball up, underhanded, at the hoop but only for it to come short of even the back board and zip off of the court.

As the ball rolled away, Iah took the time to pat Tanner's shoulder. "Good try, Tanner! You're doing a lot better than I did when I first tried to play." He paused to glance up, noticing as the ball rolled towards Don. "The other team will get the ball now, and score in our hoop. We have to try to take the ball back and stop them, mmkay?"

"Kay." Tanner said a little disapointed. He tried his best but he still wasn't able to make the ball go into the hoop.
Don picked up the ball and then turned to Kaiyumi, "Here why don't you give it a shot?" He said wondering if she was any better than Tanner.

"Don't worry," Iah sighed, ruffling the boy's hair. "Practice makes perfect. You'll get it in if you keep trying!" Then, he turned his attention towards Don and Kai, giving a little wave. "Go on then Kai!" He grinned, when the ball was given to his guardian. This would be interesting.
"Mmkay!" She chirped, nodding furiously, "I'll try my beeest!" Then, she clumsily dribbled the ball towards Iah and Tanner's hoop, before holding the ball directly over her head. She stuck out her tougue in effort as she tossed the ball. It went flying towards the hoop, but hit the backboard - hard - and then bounced back towards them, earning a loud yelp from Kaiyumi.

Don was quick, he snatched the ball right out of the air before it decked Kai in the face. "Next time, duck." He said with a laugh. Don took a few steps forward dribling the ball a few times than shot, obviously not putting too much effort into it as it hugged the rim but did not go into the hoop. "Darn, must be rusty." He said with a laugh leaving the ball to bounce for someone on the other team to get a chance to get it.

Belatedly, Kaiyumi had put her arms over her head in defense, but looked up when no ball pelted her. It was then she noticed that Don had caught the ball. Grinning, she gave a nod. "Whoopsie. Yup, next time I'll remember to duck." As, knowing her, there WAS a next time.
"Nice try, Mr. Piano!" Iah called towards the man, before dribbling the ball. "It was so close to getting into the hoop!" Then, still dribbling the ball, he looked at Tanner. "Here Tanner, you want to try again, or should I?"

"Ah can twy one mowe time, Ah'll twy my best." He said convinced that he would be able to get the ball into the hoop this time. He took the offered ball from Iah and started off towards the hoop again, dribling the ball as best he could however the boys hoof got caught in a hole in the asphault and he went tumbling to the ground scraping up his knee. Oddly enough though, unlike a normal child he did not emit loud obnoxious sobs he only sat there and hugged his knee while sniffling and trying to hold back some tears.
