His ears flickered as he heard both his sister and his mother's voices. Fools all of them. They had no idea what else was lurking in the trees and they dared to make that much noise.
He kept his laughter to himself as he heard something else moving though the trees. Ah, so the final player was making his appearance.

She snarled as she felt her horn make contact with the opposing mare's leg. When the teeth came clamping down on her neck, however, she backed up and attempted to wriggle herself free of the hold, feeling the sharp points digging deeper and deeper into her skin. When that didn't seem to work, she returned the blow and dug her own sharp fangs into the mare's leg, having dislodged her horn from the gash she had impaled into her.

The pain didn't register in Dia's mind until the dark horn tore itself free from her leg. Her teeth drew tighter around the side of the mare's neck, and she refused to let go, now kicking out her free leg at the mare's body.
Behind her, she could hear a rustle approaching, but she ignored it, concentrating on the creature in front of her. If another being decided to attack... well, she would just have to deal with that one when the time came.

His own low snarl came from between his lips as he entered the scene of the two mares battling it out. Both seemed to be already injured, and neither appeared to be letting up on the other. It was obvious, the hatred they shared towards the other, but Plague wasn't about to let that ruin his agenda, although it had changed drastically thanks to the unexpected skinwalker encounter.
Long strides with his legs brought him closer to the two fighting, and his booming voice sounded out over the noise of their scuffle as he ordered them both to cease their attack upon the other. Little did he know, or even think to be wary of, were the two pairs of eyes not involved in the fight, but instead were looking upon the scene going on in the clearing.

He couldn't help but flinch at the sound of his father's voice, having had far too many things driven into his mind because of it. He remained still despite that; refusing to go forward... Refusing to emerge. There was no need for him to sully his own coat with the blood of his family... Not when Tarnish would do it for him.

He watched Father move though the trees and he'd almost thought he would just be done with the mares there but no. Instead he tossed his head back as he laughed. It was a low but loud sound. He knew it had the power to carry though the trees far from where he was.
Father hadn't just done away with both of them. He'd -stopped- them. The mares would have easily fought on until one of them fell and it would have saved the world one bit of stupidity but he'd stopped them.
All the more reason for Father to be done away with. He had grown weak in his old age and it was starting to show.

Her mouth automatically loosened its hold on the b***h's leg as the all-too familiar voice boomed out close by. She knew better than to let go, however, should the wild mare before her ignore the mutant's demand and send another attack in Torment's direction. She tended to obey her Father, but the time had come that no longer was she under his control. She was her own mare now, and it was time to do things as she pleased, despite his wishes.
It was only after the laughter erupted among the trees did her mouth give way and she backed as quickly as she could from the mare, literally tearing herself out of the other mare's mouth. Gray eyes glared, but she knew what was coming. And she'd be damned if she'd get in his way. While Plague hadn't outrightly mentioned sparing Torment's life, Torment knew the white mutant paid no care or mind over the rest of his family. He was wild, unpredictable, more so than her own Mother. Her eyes darted back towards the largest area from where the sound was coming and she waited, silent. While Tarnish might demand his Father's head, Dia's was hers.

Hearing the dark mutant's voice did nothing but surprise Dia of his presence, her mouth still determined in its hold on her daughter's neck. The loud laughing, however, caused her grip to slip and the younger mutant managed to free herself and backed away from where Dia and Plague stood. Whoever the hell thought this scene was funny had better run or show himself, in Dia's opinion, and she disregarded the noise to turn towards the older being.
"You'd damn well better stay out of my way this time, Plague," she snarled, baring her fangs at the stallion who had practically raised her. "You took my chance away from me twice now, and you did what you wished to do with her and the others. Now it's her chance to show what you've done with her, to show how much of a failure she truly is, and it's my chance to give her what's needed to be done for a long time."

Silent, Plague watched both of their reactions. Torment had resisted at first, but backed away, obedient as she had been as a foal. Dia, as he had expected as well, had been less... willing.
The fact they had an audience who thought this was amusing surprised him, though his face showed nothing of it. The laughter was undoubtedly that of his second and most powerful offspring, who had taken after Plague far more than Plague should have allowed him to have been. Tarnish had grown uncontrollable, but hopefully after their last run-in, he had taught the b*****d a lesson.
"How is that leg, Tarnish?" he called out, smirking. He'd be damned before he'd let his own offspring get the best of him. Turning towards the white mare, hollow eyes met with pink ones for a brief instance, before turning back to look at his eldest foal.
"As I have told all of you before, if anyone is to take this mare's life, it would be by my own doing and not of that of my own lineage. Torment, if you want to fight, why don't you take it out on that mare of a brother of yours, or better yet, test your talents on Chuckles out there, who feels the need to keep himself hidden and away from the fray."
His eyes narrowed, scanning the forest for Tarnish's whereabouts.
"As for you, Sweetness, you should have learned by now that I won't let you do that. You were stupid enough to allow yourself to get pregnant with them, so you should have accepted the fact by now that you have three mutants that will roam the earth revealing to the world that you were their dam."

He almost snarled as Plague addressed him to Torment... Almost. To do so was, although, to reveal himself and where he hid... And he was not yet ready to do that; not when Tarnish was so near.
It was not fear, of course, that kept him back. No, if anything it was the simple fact that he did not wish to find himself in his brother's way. He had waited far too long for this... Far too long.

He continued to laugh as Father spoke. He had not seen the stallion since his leg had been broken so he knew Plague didn't truely know what had become of him. He wouldn't know how well to fear what Tarnish had grown into.
Settling himself he moved out from the cover of the trees where he'd been watching. "My leg is fine Father. Nothing those with more talent than you couldn't repair." His leg wasn't fine truely but he would not let it hinder him.
"You on the other hand. Has your brain addled in such a short time? If you believe so highly in mother," the word was almost spat out as if it had a bad taste in his mouth. "Then why not let her take what she wishes? Or are you unsure as to whether your spawn can take her down?"

"For once, one of your little bastards has a point," Dia growled, attempting to keep a close eye both on the mare in front of her and the newcomer stepping into the clearing. This ugly thing must have been the one to have met up with Katarina, for the other colt seemed far too frilly to have been able to scare that stupid mare. "You have no control over me, Plague. I will do as I wish."
Snarling, she ignored both males visible to her eye, and charged at the younger mare with her own striped horns. Let the foolish males have their own battle. This little tramp was hers.

Before she could get a good look at the brother she hadn't seen in so long, she was staring down at the quickly approaching head of her damn. Tensing her muscles, Torment lowered her own head and prepared for impact. Striped horns met with black ones, and the unicorn horn on her forehead came within inches of piercing Dia's skull.
"So happy we finally agree on something, Mother," she grunted, pushing back against the powerful force of the mare, "I think you should have ever right to fight me and lose."

He watched as mother attacked child and he turned towards his second eldest. He would intervene between those two after he took care of this bold colt.
"My brain has not as much addled as you've grown more foolish with your increase of power, Tarnish." he returned back, his injured wings still pressed against his sides from the attack he had endured from Desdemona. It mattered not that this foal know that was the reason why his wings were at his side, and not spread out, though it would appear obvious from his missing ear that something had definitely changed about Plague. "She is mine and she will do as I tell her to do or she will die. Just as you and your sibling are mine and will do as I order. Your mother is fierce, and she is strong for a mare of her appearance. But I am stronger, as I am stronger than you are, and free will shall be both of your downfalls."

He emerged slowly from the trees, remaining on the outskirts of the small clearing so that he could continue to observe. His own pale wings were held tightly against his body so as to now draw as much attention to himself. He knew that neither Diabetia nor Torment would pay him any mind... And neither would Tarnish... But it was his father's attention he did not want at this moment least his own temper get the better of him.
All he wanted was the best seat in the house for the show.
