Pale eyes glanced around slowly not that the figure could see anything. Blinking the female fox slowly stood up. The lightning swirling around her hind legs cracked and hissed a bit. The tip of her tail appearing to be on fire, and while standing her hair fell down on one side but it shimmered and swayed as if it were water. Confusion seemed to cloud her mind. Where was she? She could not see with her eyes but at the same time she could. It was strange yet interesting it felt like she was connected to everything around her. From the sky above to the ground and heat below. Her body seemed to be covered with vines she noticed that seemed to move with her it was again more amazing. Everything about her while seemed out of place all brought a balance. She nodded but quickly stopped when her ears picked up the faint sound of wings. Looking up she faintly slow a figure flying down.

Luvia the guardian for this tribe saw the Elder become born and was already making its way over. Its wings glowed in the daylight in its bright colors of purple blue and the tips of a faint gold color. Its body which was white also had an unearthly glow as it descended. In once claw was an orb with the Tribes Tattoo deeply embedded in it. It descended beside the elder and bowed but quickly noticed she was blind. It cleared its throat before speaking.

"Elder Pangaia welcome. I am Luvia the Guardian of this Tribe and I am here to help you if need be and guide you." The guardian watched the elder who appeared to examine him, which was odd since the Elder appeared to be blind.

"The leaders of the Elements should be arriving soon. If need be you may rest." When it saw the elder shake its head he merely nodded and stepped a bit to the side as the first leader of the element of fire arrived.

Caster had seen the guardian descent and knew that it would mean the new Elder was born. He huffed in agitation and quickly left his fiery lands and made his way towards the landing place of the guardian. Once he arrived he had to stop to stare. The new Elder was a female as usual but having never seen one until now he was captivated. She was indeed the image of mother nature and her elements. He found himself going down into a bowing position before he could stop himself. He quickly got up and huffed and turned away. He quickly began to pace back and forth

"Where are the others?!" The flames on his ears and the flaming tail he had seemed to flare up as he spoke. He was definitely as untamed as a flame. He kept his eyes open, which were black like the soot the volcanoes shot out during different intervals on his part of the land. Though they quickly narrowed as he could see the others arrive.

"Keep your peace, Castor," came the quiet voice of Aelin as she appeared, her voice much like bells in the wind. "It does not suit even the....shortest-tempered of us all to react so foolishly on the day of our leader's birth."

As she reached the small group, Aelin took her own turn at bowing, though willingly, her fin-like ears brushing the ground. "What news from the others, Luvia?" she asked in the same quiet, calm voice, aware that he would sense the approach of Earth, Lightining and Air, embodied in her fellows. "Castor can only last so long before I have to put out rings of fire, after all." She smirked slightly at the idea, carefully masking it with her fluctuating, watery hair.

Carefully, she bit back several other remarks about Castor's temper, knowing her polar opposite leader to be one for rash thinking no matter the situation. The seeminly-bling Pangaia did not need to see the full extent of his temperament on her first day.

Castor's flames flared more as the water leader approached. She always knew how to get him flared up. He walked over to her but kept his distance his flaming tail seeming to dance behind him but also wave menacingly.

"Really now Aelin, your the on who adds fuel to my fire. "This time Castor was the one to smirk at the finned female. She was after all his opposite and a pain at that. Fighting wise they were evenly matched but he couldn't help push her buttons as he could clearly see she didn't mind pushing his. Though he began to flare down as the guardian approached them.

"Castor and Aelin stand down. This is not the time for your petty fights." Luvia gave a stern look to both of the leaders before turning to the elder.

"As you can....tell...history has once again repeated. These are the great, great great great grand children of the original leaders. Yet apparently the hatred for each other is in the genes. " Again it shot the leaders another stern look before settling down. Then he remembered the question Aelin had asked.

"Ah Aelin that is up to them. They come when they please but we must wait for them." Luvia noticed the fire leader flare up its words and only sighed.

Pangaia only smiled when the two fought while it would of not been something to smile about to her she could see the balanced the two shared. She turned to the guardian with a soft smile.

"Do not be so harsh on them. They do as their elements. Fire and water do not mix well. For as we know it makes steam. So do not fear. They are in balance with one another. Even if they don't see it." Then she gave a soft laugh that came out gentle yet in a mother like fashion one that could ease even those of the coldest or hottest of hearts.

"Now let us wait for the others whom I am sure shall be just as lively as you both are." She gave a small nod at both leader which again looked odd. Being blind as she was she acted like she could see everything and for many that came off rather strange even to the guardian who gave her weird glances at times.

Chuckling at Castor's attempts to rile her, Aelin did as Luvia said and backed off, contenting herself to sit down in the grasses. She looked up as the wind rocked her ears back and forth, but her attention snapped back to Luvia and Pangaia as they spoke.

She was fine with waiting; her element was a patient, if somewhat teasing one. What Aelin found interesting was the Elder's observation pf balance. The water fox knew that all five of them were balanced, yes, but it sometimes was hard to believe she and the fiery Castor hadn't tipped that delicate scale.

Deciding she would rather not mull over thoughts that had been with her since birth, the water female sighed once more at Castor's incessant impatient, but said little, waiting for their fellows to appear, or for Luvia or Pangaia to part with some sort of random wisdom.

Venti, the embodiment of wind, approached her fellow members, smiling as the wind seemed to shift at her approach, though she did not directly cause it. From a distance she took in who had arrived thus far, water and fire, then of course the guardian and the Earth itself, or rather herself. Knowing that wind could amplify the damaging effects of both water and fire, Venti made mental note to be on her best behavior.

She was now withing the almost circle the tribe had created, first bowing in unseen respect to Pangaia, then a nod of acknowledgement to Aelin and Castor, and Luvia. "It is my humble joy to see the tribe uniting on such a magnificent day as this. The Earth itself seems to rejoice." Venti said, her words fading at intervals as though she was speaking through wind-tossed air.

Kalevi approached the gathering slowly, having no need to rush the way the other Elementals did. All would occur in its due time.

And there was the additional hesitation from the fact that he would rather not meet the reborn Pangaia with the other leaders around. Somehow, it seemed they managed to bring out the worst in him, and that was not a first impression he wanted the reborn elder to have of him.

He bowed to Pangaia, but gave the others only a curt nod. At the moment, he didn't want much to do with the other elementals. He, too, took a place in the forming circle, but he stood far out from the others, widening it considerably.

"Welcome, Pangaia."

((Same here about the font color. Don't mind if it keeps changing until I find one I like...

((And Kalevi's personality might be a bit...varied until I get a feel for him, too. So kindly ignore the fact that he might be a bit...erratic for a bit.))

Casters ears gave faint twitches as he heard the other two leaders approach the circle. He grinned when he saw Venti. While he preferred to be nearer to her as she amplified his element sadly he was forced farther away. Of course this didn't mean that he liked her, oh no, he just liked to use her to his advantage against the others. He gave a curt nod back at her though while he continued to pace until he noticed the earth leader seeming to keep a distance.

"Whats the matter Kalevi? Afraid to be lit on fire?" Caster laughed in a cold manner his flames flaring as he did so. That is until a long tail smacked him on the head. Caster flipped around at the attacker and snarled. It was Luvia.

"Why-!"

"Do not try to charm or explain yourself. You know you were in the wrong. Do not antagonize the others to fight in the presence of your new elder. That is very shameful even for you." Luvia saw the fire leader 'flare down' once it had finished talking. It knew the fire leader was far to prideful to do anything remotely considered shameful. Turning to the wind and earth leaders Luvia bowed slightly.

"Welcome we must wait for one more. Who is that which can walk the land of lightning without fear." Luvia raised it's neck up to see if it could see the leader of the lightning field yet no it could not sighing it turned to the Elder.

"Would like to say anything while we wait?" Luvia watched the elder carefully as she was a bit strange as least stranger then previous.

Pangaia nodded and stepped forward but rather then turn to the leaders she turned to the guardian.

"My first order is that you do not try to control them." At the confused look the elder merely smiled and continued.

"While yes Castor was out of place it is in his nature and element to cause conflict. He follows the element of that which is fire and thus is untamed and quick to spark." She turned and flashed a smile at Castor. Then she moved around the group and stopped in front of Kalevi. She moved her head a bit making her hair seem to shimmer with ripples similarto how water moves to get a few strands off her eyes.

"Ah and you the one who commands the earth you should not fear your brethren. For while they may bring out the worse in you they also help you. Just as the water makes the plants grow, the wind helps spread the seeds of many a flower, and the fire while it kills keeps the land in control." Pangaia turned and glanced upwards to the sky before looking back at all of them.

"This why your fighting is not healthy. That is what unbalances the world. You each provided a balance and control to each and other and while you may not agree on many things ultimately without the other you would not survive." Pangaia smiled warmly similar once more to way a mother would to her children. Then she sat down her long tail curling around her the flamed tip she kept off the ground as it seems to be alive like a burning flame on a candle.

Aelin couldn't resist the urge to laugh as she watched Luvia's tail come down on Castor's head. The poor fool never did know when to stop.

Although, she did sober some as the Elder stepped forward, knowing that all five of them owed her their utmost respect. As she traveled around the circle to Kalevi, Aelin's interest piqued. None had ever actually told the estranged leaders that they all needed each other, though deep down they all knew it to be true. It was one thing to think about a fact; it was another entirely for someone technically outside of the conflict to say it outloud.

Yes, they needed each other. Even if she did want to douse that annoying, immature, brash fool's flames.

However, Aelin quickly quieted those thoughts and contented herself to watch the Elder. "It is reassuring to know that the link you create is as strong as we, or at least I, hoped, Elder Pangaia," Aelin stated, nodding her head in respect.

Venti didn't see Castor's grin, or she chose to ignore it, insted, she pretended to focous greatly on everything Pangaia was doing, though her eyes were in the distance. For her, it was the sound that was more important, taking in the words as though she would repeat them in her head until it was a pledge, smiling when she heard the mention of wind. Whenever she heard her element spoken of, it gave her a warm feeling inside, one hard to come by in a windy and barren landscape.

Kalevi smirked when Castor was hit by Luvia. He was glad he wasn't the one making such a fool of himself in front of the Elder. Although he was slightly taken aback by what Pangaia said then, about balance. He listened carefully, and considered her words.

They were true, of course, but at the same time, they were difficult. As she had stated, his fellow Elementals did bring out the worst in him, and he found coexistence with them difficult.

"I do not fear them," Kalevi protested. Fear wasn't the right word at all. He was no coward.

He did dislike the side of him the others brought out, but he didn't fear them.

Not for that reason.

"Oh?" Pangaia turned slightly the lightning rings on her hind legs sparking a bit. She looked at Kalevi for a moment then smiled again.

"Then if you do not fear them come closer. Do not distance yourself from your brethren. Even if we are missing one we should be close. That goes for all of you. " Pangaia turned to face the others still smiling looking at each of them directly. Again this may or may not be strange to some due to her blindness, yet her uncanny ability to look at each of them as if actually seeing them truly was something odd to see.

"There is a harmony that must be reached. It is here, but due to the all the fighting and losses it has diminished greatly. I am sure many of you miss your follow brethren of your specific elements. " Pangaia sighed and closed her eyes lowering her head. Her tail flicked a moment the flame like end seeming to flicker as if a breeze had blown by it.

"The land she weeps over the blood that has been spilled and she yearns for the peace and harmony of long ago."Looking up Pangaia looked at each of them. There was stern look on her face as she stood up. She glanced around not so much at the leaders but at the land itself.

"Look around you, see what the war has done! Look at what the fighting has brought....Do you see?" Pangaia then looked at each leader for a moment.

Castor fell silent when he noticed the Elder's mood change. His flames seemed to dim a bit and lower themselves as he too looked at the ground. Then when she said to look around he did. The land was empty, save for the sounds of the elements. He listened and he could faintly hear the lightning in the far distance, the raging winds from across his home, the sea hitting against the shore near his land, the silence and echoes of the earthy lands, and lastly the gently groaning of the volcanoes of his home. He sighed deeply, for once his flames did not comfort him. He could feel the emptiness in the land. It was just them: an Elder, Guardian, and one member of each element, and lack of others made him see that indeed the land was crying almost. Castor merely cleared his throat loudly and sat down his tail curling around him and lowered to where it wouldn't burn the grass. He could not even make a wise remark. No, for once he would be curtest(sp?) and remain silent.

Luvia was surprised at the emotions the Elder was puring out to them. Maybe this approach would reach the foolish elements that only seem to want to fight. Though it noticed that still the lightning leader had not shown. Feeling worried it moved away from the group.

"While you all chat I shall go check on the remaining leader yet to appear." Once it received a nod from the Elder it spread its wings wide and took off. Pushing off the ground with tremendous force and whizzing off towards the lightning lands. As he approached he became filled with dread as he saw dark and large storm clouds over the land. The sky continuous flashing due to the all the lightning. He was forced to land just at the border looking on worried. It was forced to jump back as one bolt of lightning nearly struck it. Shaking its head to rid itself of fear, it look on towards the lands and frowned. The guardian doubted even the leader could make it out of there on its own.

((I spoke to Loki before and she seemed to be busy with school so I'm going to put that the lightning leader is being held back due to a terrible storm. Loki had mentioned once school is over/calms she will be able to rp))

Reluctantly, Aelin looked up to survey the lands around them, so recently devastated by an ancient war. She mused on the paradox of that--a recently fought ancient war, but then sighed and bowed her head in despair and shame. Her thoughts roamed, and for several minutes she was silent as she tried to reach a decision.

Squaring her shoulders, she looked up again as Luvia left, determined. "It is time for us to move on and reconstruct," she declared, looking over to her polar opposite. "All of us."

She wasn't disillusioned; cooperation had never come easy for the five of them, and even with Pangaia, the arguments would be numerous. But how they could they sit here and not do anything? Those they led had been killed in petty skirmishes, and still they showed no signs of stopping. In truth, Aelin had long been tired of this everlasting war, but had never seen a way to stop it; she fought too often with Castor instinctively to do anything productive. Now though, with the arrival of Pangaia...perhaps things could change.

To back up her own declaration, Aelin gave Castor a weak smile. "The past is gruesome, Castor, but do not linger on it so heavily. We were all in the wrong, and now we must force ourselves to look ahead. Learn from the war, and keep your eyes diverted from the ground. Even I could not stand to see in such a position for long, else I might go mad."
PostPosted: Wed Nov 07, 2007 4:40 pm

Reluctantly, and a bit distastefully, Kalevi came closer to the others, closing the circle in some. He was still the furthest out, but with the task Pangaia had just assigned them, he would rather not be too close to the others. If things went as usual, it might degrade to physical fighting soon, and he would rather have a chance to react before he was attacked.

Perhaps such thoughts would seem a bit pessimistic and paranoid from any other fox, but...

Well, there was a reason it was only the five of them, the Elder, and the Guardian left in the entire tribe.

He tried not to dwell on all of those he had known who had been killed by those of the lands of fire, or wind, or water, or lightening when Pangaia brought up all the destruction the fighting had caused. His entire family, his comrades, everyone who had once been his ally, gone...

And now all he was left with were those who were responsible for all that death, whether directly or indirectly, simply by being part of a rival element.

What Pangaia asked of him was not easy at all.

Perhaps Aelin could adapt: the waters were ever changing. And Castor, as well, for the abruptness of flame was well known. And Venti and T'puuli Nizzre' as well.

But he was of the Earth, the most steady element, the one least adjusted to change.

Yes, there were the seasons, and those were change, but those were not change, as well. Every year, as predictable as anything, they came. They had always come, and would always come.

This...this was change of an entirely different magnitude.

"Oh?" Castor replied looking at Aelin. This was going to be fun to counter. Smacking his lips, he turned to face the water leader. He was smirking like a chesire cat. His flames flaring every now and then.

"The war has nothing to do with my treatment towards you. I just don't like you. Plus the fact I enjoy riling your fins. Since they are so huge on your head I need to put even more effort then usual. " He smirked at her and got up moving closer to her but making sure to keep his distance.

"Oh and count me out of this reconstruction thing. I am proud for my people and what they did. We have no regrets. " With that he turned and raised his tail to mock the water leader and her lame ideas. Pssh...like he would really help to rebuild that which is not broken. Sure there weren't other foxes around but that could be fixed. It wasn't until the Elder stepped into his path that he stopped.

"There is no pride in senseless killing. That is cowardice to say that there is and to not want to rebuild ones own home.-And do not say that the rest of this island is not your home for it is. Even if its of another element." Glancing at the other leaders she unblocked Castor's way but she was huffy. Once could tell by how the elements on her body moved in an agitated way. She sat down facing them then sighed.

"I guess I have no choice. You all must spend more time together. I will decree that you may only return to your respective element homes only at night to rest or to eat on occasion. Meanwhile you shall spend your times her with me. Until I see some harmony among the five of you you shall not return to your homes." Pangaia looked at them all strictly and sternly she meant it and would not be persuaded otherwise. She got up and then began to move away from them.

"I shall go and inspect the lands. You should all start talking to one another." Then she gave a quick glance at Castor.

"Civilly"Pangaia then continued to head towards the fire land. Starting from there she would go around. Though the flame on the end of her tail was flaring as she was very much annoyed with what she had seen. they needed to get along even if there were small arguments it would be better then what it was now.

((And Luvia is still watching out for the lightning leader XD))
