"If there were mares they would have been scared off by you." There was no way any mare would come near him as long as the orange filly was following him around. They'd either think she was his mare or his daughter. Neither thing helped when one had urges, which thankfully he didn't.
"I could find food without you." It would take longer but he'd lived perfectly fine before she'd come along.

"Oh, yes... Because your shining personality is enough to bring them swimming." She smirked as she rolled through the water, eying him from an upside down position for a moment. "I still say you like the company... You'd enjoy it a bit more if I was a boy... But not much."

"What use would you be to me as a boy?" He raised a brow as he swung his tail lazily though the water. He couldn't think what the difference would be other than a boy would have been smart enough to stay away from him.

"I don't know... I might be better at hunting..." Or she might, if she were a boy, have some idea as to what sort of conversation she could strike up with him to at least get him talking. "It's not like you find me all that useful as is."

"If you'd just hold still long enough for me to take your tail off you'd be useful." He grinned at her as he snapped is teeth in her direction. She'd probably be tasty too.

"You aren't interested in my tail... You yourself just said that you don't care or mares." She nickered softly as she swished her tail at him. "Even less of a reason for that threat to be believed."

"Oh but i am interested in your tail. It looks delicious." He flicked is tail and started after her with a grin. If she wasn't fast enough he'd add a second set of bite marks to the ones she already sported.

She laughed as she rolled to draw her tail just beyond his reach before speeding off. If he was going to try to bite her she wasn't just going to float by and make it easy on him. That took all of the fun out of it and, as far as she was concerned, Alophiidae needed to have more fun.
