Silence is ..... blue? (Sigao and Amary)

[Cajmera]

"Sure! See, my Papa says that they happen because of underground heat. Isn't that crazy, that there's heat underground? Granted, it's in the regions nearest to the volcano, but it's not IN the volcano, so it's all good. The underground lava makes heat rise up and it heats water, then you can soak in it! You have GOT to try it sometime, Siggy, honest. It's such a nice feeling, all warm and snuggly, only in WATER."

Crazy concept as that was.

"Should show me some time." He nudged her slightly with a wing and thought about how that could feel when compared to the slightly warm water in the bigger rivers or the lake. It could be fun or it could hurt but either way he wanted to try it sometime.  

[Cajmera]

Grinning, Amary turned and gave Sigao a coquetteish 'oh really' sort of look. "Well, when is sometime, Sigao? It'd involve a bit of flight, but seeing as how we both have wings I doubt you'd be suffering that much." If she did say so herself. "Who knows, it might even inspire you to actually SAY something. Though that would make me die of shock, you actually saying a whole sentence. Then again, it'd probably shock you if I managed to NOT talk so much, so I'd say we're even, don't you?"

He nodded and stretched his wings out slightly. "Sounds good." A flight might be nice since he hadn't stretched his wings in that way in a while. He got so use to having to wander around though trees.

He laughed slightly at the idea of it making him talk but it might have. It would be a shock but then again it might shock her into silence and that would make it even more amusing.

Oh, so you yuo want to see about that right now? Fair enough, it's early enough in the day. Just stay close, Sigao; you never know, you might lose me in the sky, what with how well I blend in and all that." As if she could ever blend in with ANYTHING.

"Keep up if you can!" With that and a laugh, the mare was suddenly winging her way skywards, taking advantage of the break in the trees provided by the stream. She could do with a bit of a flight!

He shook himself out and stretched his wings for a moment before following after her. He was glad for the extra wing span since it meant a few strokes and he would be beside her where he could glide in whatever direction they were headed.

Up in the air, Amary was in her element. Or rather, she was in at least ONE of her elements, as she was basically comfortable in every circumstance. But there was something special about the air, about flight...you could just do so much!

Which she took full advantage of, rolling over, diving, flipping, and twirling through the air on agile wings. Why go sedately when you could go with flair, after all?

He on the other hand was perfectly content to glide along with a few strokes of his wings here and there. She could do the acrobatics and he could watch. It all seemed a little too flashy for his taste. Besides he'd be worried his larger form would end up falling out of the air if he tried any of that.

Angling her body to the side, Amary went into a slow glide to the side, then pivoted so that the other wing was higher. Glancing back over her shoulder as she did so, the mare took note of Sigao and his much more placid flight style, the comparison with her own making her grin.

"Having fun back there, Siggy?"

He nodded at her words and smiled at her. He liked gliding. The little flicks of his feathers that it took to keep him steady was always fun in some way. It was like playing a game with the air currents.  

[Cajmera]

"Well, suit yourself; personally, that looks like it'd be really unfun, but that's just me." If Sigao wanted to fritter away valuable fun time by simply floating along, that was his perogative.

Regardless, travel by air was a lot faster than travel by foot, and it didn't take that much longer before Amary's sharp eyes noted the craggy outcropping that marked the beginning of the geothermal zone. Grinning at the sight, Amary pulled back her wings and went into a graceful dive, trusting Sigao would follow.

He raised a brow as she headed toward the rocks for a moment before he noticed smoke coming from the area. There wasn't fire so that must mean that was where all the hot water was!

Closing his wings carefully he sunk lower until he could set his hooves on something solid again. "This the place?"  

[Cajmera]

Landing daintily on one of the rocks, Amary flicked a wing through her mane to fluff her curls. One thing about flight, it REALLY did a number on the hair, even though the windblown look was VERY sexy, in her opinion. Still, a little bit of order in an otherwise ruffled style brought class.

Having satisfied herself on that account, though, she could return her attention to the task at hand. "Yup. Can't you feel the heat, Siggy? There's a couple springs in the immeadiate area, though you want to be careful to test them before hopping in, just in case they're TOO hot. Don't want to be boiled, right?"

He scrunched his nose and shook his head at the idea of getting boiled. Though it almost already felt like he was. The air was warm and heavy but it was kinda relaxing in a way.

"Feels .... different" He reached up with a wing and pulled a braid out of his face before it got stuck there.  

[Cajmera]

"Yeah, of COURSE it feels different, Siggy. There's lava way down there underfoot, and it's heating up everything up here!"

Or something like that; Amary didn't claim to understand all the inner workings of the earth, after all, she only understood that this meant a warm soak. And THAT was something she could be totally onboard with. "So, let's go see about those springs then."

Hopping off of her rock, Amary headbutted Sigao in the direction she meant for them to go, figuring that if he could use the nonverbals, then so could she. "Hoof it!"
