He sighed and shook his head, "Neither. I'd sink if I were to go in my armor and I'd rather not take it off." Dart offered a conciliatory smile, flaring his wings a bit to cause the metallic sound of a sword being drawn as the feathers slid against on another - a demonstration that his armor wasn't as light as it appeared.
"Maybe another time...?" He shuffled forward a little, hoping she wouldn't be too dissapointed. He disliked it when females were distressed...

Another blink at that and Toni paddled over closer, looking a bit cleaner now, eyeing him. "Waaaaait, the wings are armor too?" she asked, clambering out of the water and coming over behind him to peer at how they were attached. If that was even what he meant ...

"Pardon?" He tilted his head to the side, slightly confused. Then it dawned on him. "Wings? Armor? Yes, actually. They are." While he could control them much like any winged creature could control theirs, they were made of metal and other things he didn't know the name of. It was enchanted armor, probably made from the dragon he supposedly embodied.
Upon closer inspection, one found that they did indeed attach to the shoulder and seamlessly, thought they moved like a regular wing (but for the lack of an elbow joint). Helpfully, he flared on wing out, letting the metallic feathers separate almost completely. The 'gear' at the corner of the wing moved as though it was the mechanic behind the wing's movement.
"See? Armor." He tapped his chest with one paw, which caused the large luminous gem there to glow slightly.

Antonia tilted her head at that, watching in a fascinated sort of manner when he spread the wing out for her inspection. Leaning forward, she poked one of the feather-things with her nose, wrinkling it then at the coldness of the metal.
"How weird ..." she murmured, poking it again. "But cool!" she added quickly, flashing a smile up at him as she straightened a bit. "How'd you get it...?" she asked, blinking. She wouldn't mind having some armor-y wings of her own, come to think of it...

Now that... that he couldn't remember and his expression fell a little. He'd gone to sleep in one place and woken up in an entirely different body. It had been more then a little disorienting - and, at least in part, the cause for his restless wandering. "I.... don't know. I've had this armor since I awoke here. I can't remember past that...." His ears flicked, picking up the sounds of the forest around them. He offered an apologetic smile as he turned to look at her.
"Why?"

Toni blinked at that, circling around to face him, sitting down on the bank. "Ooh ... that sucks ..." she said quietly, head tilting a little. So then ... he probably didn't know how to get them off either.
"Well, it's ok," she said, flashing a smile. "I think I'm done swimming anyway! You want to go somewhere else?"

Which, actually, was true. It was seamless and solid - perfectly fitted to his body.
He nodded then, "Feel better? You've cleaned up rather well." Green eyes played across her wet fur as he smiled, "Not a mud monster anymore." He blinked at her question, "Somewhere else? Like where?" He really didn't know the area beyond this section of the forest very well....

"Hmm ... I dunno," Toni replied, thinking for a moment. She'd caught the compliment too, but she was trying to downplay that a bit ... though she was fairly sure that she was blushing a little.
"Well, there is this one place, over closer to the HQ...." and still chattering, she started off in that direction, leading Dart away.
