"Everything changes it's all in just how things evolve to accept the change. We're not the same stallions that met all those years ago. If we were then we'd no longer be speaking."

"There are days when I'm not entirely certain that I undersalnd where you're coming from, Crowley." He snorted softly, trying not to chuckle. "There are some of your actions that I can't even begin to fathom."
He lifted his head after a moment, giving it a light toss. "Who would have known that something so little would change everything?"

"Well you understand it better than most. They are leagues away from fathoming half the things i say and think." There were those token few who understood but he hoped he'd never have to cross paths with them ever again.

"All things considered... I think we keep the balance rather well, don't you think? Even with the way the lines seem to be blurring." His nose wrinkled slightly as he gave his head another light toss. "They are blurring... And it seems like something else might be on its way. I just... Wish I knew what it was."

"They've been rubbed clean away in some cases i fear. Things aren't black and white like they use to be." He almost had to snicker at the mention of colors as their coats depicted it so well.
"Whatever is coming can just wander off in it's own direction. Last night i need is more trouble i didn't cause myself. It's no fun the other way"

He looked at Crowley for a moment before glancing over his shoulder at his own coat. He snorted softly, shaking his head as he looked back at his companion. "Your humor is wretched, you know... Really, Crowley. As for trouble, you know I would rather avoid it just as much as you would... Causing it included. It just... Has a habit of finding us." And there was some Trouble that he had no desire to ever see again.

"So i've made a few bad jokes here and there. So have you." He tossed his head, braids rattling slightly, and grinned. "It's not like the world will end over a bad joke."
Trouble was alright Trouble was what he'd rather avoid in the long run. After all there were still so many things that he hadn't done. So much he hadn't experienced.

"Mine aren't nearly as bad as yours are." He trotted after the darker stallion, giving his shoulder a gentle nudge with his nose once he caught up. "Really, Crowley, is your stomach the only thing you think about?" He knew the answer to that already... It wasn't. But that didn't mean he couldn't tease the other male.

His nose wrinkled slightly as his mind unwillingly drifted towards the sort of things that Crowley might think about. He snorted softly as he trotted ahead of the other stallion. "It isn't as if that has ever kept you from saying anything about them before..." It hadn't. "You'll just go right on thinking those things anyways."

"I think far more things than i actually do you know" He nudged the other stallion's flank before he caught back up to him. "Come now, truthfully. Have you ever smelt anyone but yourself on me?" It had been far too long since he'd properly played with any of the delicate little girls he'd met. Mostly because every time he did Azriphale ended up hating him for at least a week.

His nose wrinkled slightly as he paused, turning off to the side to bury the tip of his muzzle in a patch of rich, green clover. This was not a conversation that he wanted to be having with Crowley... Even if he didn't catch anyone else's scent on the other stallion it didn't mean it hadn't been there at one point. There were ponds. There were streams. He could easily wash it off.
"Aren't you going to have some clover, Crowley? You did say you were hungry..."

"Dodging questions again hm?" He grinned as he leaned down and took a bite of the clover. He knew that his friend wouldn't want to even think about that but it was true even if Azriphale wouldn't admit it. Scents like that took more than just a bath to make go away.
Though generally they did spend enough time apart for the scent to wear off there hadn't been any in the first place.
