"It must certainly has been an adventure." He turned his head slightly so he could rest his nose against hers. "And it will continue to be so i would think. After all, with parents like us they're bound to be twice the work"

"Parents..." Now there was a word she hadn't considered before. She couldn't remember ever having any of her own... Just the darkness of the basket and then the bright light that followed as she emerged. She had wandered and she had grown... And then she had found herself here. Liking it, she had never left.
"That... Doesn't make us old and uninteresting, does it?" She doubted it, of course. Deep down she would always be herself... And he would always be his. That wouldn't change.... Couldn't.

"Heavens no dear. I will never be old nor uninteresting and you.." His parents hadn't bothered much with 'raising' their little ones and he'd wandered off as soon as he was strong enough to do so. They hadn't seemed to mind as they'd never followed after him so he took it for the best.
"I doubt you would ever let yourself become uninteresting."

"... Of course I wouldn't." She shifted her head, nuzzling him gently as she closed her eyes. Resting for a day or so wouldn't make her old or uninteresting... If anything, it would just see to it that she had the energy to keep up with whatever emerged from the three baskets in however long it took for them to do so.

"See, nothing to worry about my dear" He grinned as he leaned down to nose at the baskets. There would be nothing to worry about until the little ones emerged from their baskets at least.
