Arakel frowned as Jiora managed to lure Rune closer to her. How come Rune went to her, but not him? It didn't make sense! Sighing, Arakel looked back to Jaclyn with a slight shake of his head. "I don't see how we can unhook it without actually going into the pen. But we better think of something quick. They're not going to be amazed long." Arakel looked toward the tent entrance. Sure enough, slowly, people were starting to trickle back in.

"Aylana, do you know of anyway we can unhook the chain without actually...going into the pen?" It was a stupid question, he knew, but what else was there to ask? Arakel honestly couldn't think of anything to do. In fact, the situation almost seemed hopeless to him. If only they could get the tamers to leave, at least for a minute. That would be one obstacle out of the way.

Aylana looked back to the crowd and smiles, then looks to Arakel "I may have a way......" she steps back outside and closing her eyes she whistles in three different tones into the wind.

Within minutes Sandy appears but this time with two more gryffins. Cloudy who was shades of lightblue and white, and Twilight who was dark blue with the markings of stars all over his fur. She looks to Sandy and nods to her "Keeps them busy, but be careful too my friend..." Sandy nods then looks at the crowd as Cloudy and Twilight sit.

Aylana runs back in "Okay we don't have much time, Sandy, Cloudy, and Twilight can keep them busy...but I don't know for how long..." she looked at the pen closely. She examined the chain until she found weak link of the chain. She nods then waves her hand at weakest part of the chain hoping to bend the link until it breaks.

Jaclyn sighed in irritation at the lack of ideas. This bunch was certainly turning out to be wonderfully brilliant... "If we're going to go into the pen I may as well rip the fencing up..." She moved to nudge Jiora, hoping the other woman had a better idea to offer, and paused to frown curiously at Aylana. Where was she going now...? She arched a brow as the winged woman returned, and more people began to hurry out.

The pair of tamers in the corner, now quite curious about what was distracting the crowd, moved to stand in the entrance of the tent. Upon sighting the trio of gryphons the pair gasped audibly, hurrying to the front of the crowd in an attempt to keep people a safe distance from the creatures. The circus couldn't handle yet another lawsuit from an angry visitor.

Jiora arched a brow as Aylana returned, clearly impressed with whatever the woman had done to draw the crowd away, even if she wasn't sure exactly what it was. "We'd better hurry then," she murmured hesitantly - what exactly was the plan? She shook her head and leaned forward to pat Rune again, flinching back when one of the links near his bridle - the one Aylana happened to be focused on - suddenly snapped.

Rune jerked his head back, starting at the sound, and then suddenly froze as the chain holding him fell to the ground. For several moments he stared at it and then looked up at the small group standing outside the pen as if to say 'Now what?'

Arakel looked from the broken link, to Aylana, and then finally to Jaclyn. "Well, we've solved one problem." Arakel said with a slight smile. Now the only problem was how to get him out. The main entrance to the tent was crowded with people wanting to see the trio of gryphons, so that was out. Arakel knew the crowded wouldn't let them pass anyway.

"This tent should have at least two exits because of fire safety codes." Arakel said aloud, more to himself than anybody else. He looked along the walls of the tent until he spotted the second exit. It was there, alright, closed by a knotted rope. A bail of hay was lying at the exit, making it look like any other part of the tent.

Walking over, Arakel kicked the hay aside. It didn't need to be there in the first place! It was a hazard. Fumbling with the rope for a moment, Arakel eventually got it undone, and peeled back the tent canvas. Sunlight poured in through the small opening while Arakel peeked out. "Okay, we can go out this way. There doesn't seem to be that many people, but it's bound to be only a matter of time before someone notices he is gone." He swept aside a few more materials, making sure there was nothing that Rune would have to jump over to avoid. "Open the door to his pen, lead him over to here, then...run like hell."

Aylana nods to Arakel and Jaclyn "Okay you three get him out of here, I'll go and get the gryffins. Once I'm sure you're safe I'll get myself and the gryffins out of here...We can meet up in the forest by the lake." she turns to Arakel "Its right outside of Fa'e due northwest....." she looks to Rune "You'll be okay Rune....." then turning she runs outside towards the gryffins.

Taking off into the air she looks down to Sandy "Stay linked with me, when I break the link get yourself and the other two up into the air then follow me....." Sandy made a noise as if she understood then unfolded her wings. Twilight and Cloudy did the same and watched the crowd.

Aylana smiles then looks towards the tent watching for the others.

Jiora moved to open the gate, gently tugging Rune along by his bridle. He didn't seem to mind at all though, trotting along beside her quite eagerly. Anything was worth getting out of this stupid pen - even something as demeaning as wearing the damned bridle for a bit longer.

Jaclyn edged a bit closer to the front entrance, listening to the crowd outside a bit warily. If any of them happened to glance inside the tent it could ruin everything. Even if she didn't care that much about the unicorn, she wasn't about to get caught in the midst of stealing it. She threw an impatient glance back at Arakel and Jiora.

Jiora paused just short of the exit again, frowning up at Arakel hesitantly for a moment. "What about the unicorn you were with? The green and white one..." Wasn't he at risk of being put on display as well? She was about to continued when Rune tugged her closer to the exit, eager to get out quickly. "Just a minute, Ghost."

"I'm not going to ask how or why you see him. I've got too much stuff on my mind around right." Arakel mumbled, though for some reason, he wasn't exactly surprised Jiora could see Moore. Arakel knew Moore was dumb enough to stand around waiting for him the whole time. Gripping the unicorn necklace that Nyoka had given him, Arakel waited a few moments before letting go. Moore could be summoned with the necklace...So why not un-summoned? It made sense.

"And why are you calling him 'Ghost?' His name isn't Ghost!" Arakel said, rather snappily to Jiora, Moore now out of mind. "His name is Rune. Call him by it." Arakel turned back to the tent exit, poking his head out. "Okay, everything seems clear. Go, go, go!"

Jiora frowned a bit at the response she got, wondering why she wouldn't be able to see him. It was rather difficult to miss a green and white unicorn in the midst of a crowd.. At Arakel's next comment, she threw a sharp glance at him, brows drawing down in obvious irritation. "I'll call him whatever I want." She turned to Rune then, only to have Jaclyn approach and pull the unicorn away from her.

"You'll only slow him down, Ji. I can keep up better." Jaclyn gave the other woman a brief frown before bolting from the tent, Rune following close behind. He headed toward the forest, causing Jaclyn to breathe a sigh of relief as she followed after him. It would be easier to keep him within sight with the trees slowing him down.

Jiora stared after them for a moment, grumbling under her breath. Damned girl... If she lost Ghost - Ghost, not Rune! She threw a final frown in Arakel's direction before hurrying toward the forest herself.

"You will call him by his real name!" Arakel retorted, his tail snapping in frustration. It was already annoying that Rune responded to her, and now she had to go along and give him some name that absolutely made no sense. Arakel didn't have more time to argue this fact however, as Rune and Jaclyn were already leaving.

Watching Jiora leave before him, Arakel looked back over his shoulder one last time. He wanted to make sure Aylana saw them leaving. They couldn't leave her here! Figuring that Aylana would see them, Arakel hurried forward, easily catching up with Jiora, due to her shortness. "Keep going the way you are. That'll bring us to the Fa'e HQ. Then after that, we head northwest like she said, and I suppose that'll bring us to the lake." Arakel called ahead, figuring Jaclyn had no idea what the Fa'e HQ was, let alone know where it was. Now it all depended upon if anybody noticed Rune missing or not...

Aylana smiles when she see the group heading into the forest, she nods and breaks her connection with Sandy then flies higher into the clouds.

Sandy and the other two gryffins make a loud screeching noise before lifting into the sky, high enough where they're hidden by the clouds.

Aylana smiles to Sandy "Okay come on we gotta catch up with the others..." turning northwestern she and the gryffins head towards the lake.

Once Aylana is sure she can't be seen by the circus people she heads downwards and lands in the forest. The gryffins follow suit. She smiles and they continue running, her only hope is that right now Rune is safe.

Jaclyn didn't glance back when Arakel called out to her, too busy keeping track of where Rune was. If he got too far off track they'd have to go after him, slowing them down even more. It was bad enough they had Jiora along... There didn't seem to be any reason to worry over that though - it almost seemed that the beast had understood the directions. He changed his course to follow Jaclyn's more closely, pausing every now and then to see that Jiora hadn't fallen too far behind.

The short woman was already beginning to look rather winded. She simply wasn't built for any sort of physical exertion, the majority of her talents lying in intellect and magic. Jaclyn sighed and fell back to the other woman, dragging her along to keep her from falling behind any further than she already had.

It didn't take much longer for them to reach the lake, though Jiora had insisted on a pause shortly after they passed the HQ to catch her breath. Now, she stood beside Rune and slightly behind Jaclyn, leaning against the unicorn just slightly while she caught her breath yet again and cursed whoever invented running.

Arakel, frankly, was glad Rune didn't need to be guided to the lake. He wanted to stay in the rear, making certain nothing was following them - Not that he would be able to do anything if something was following them. But still, it halfway reassured him.

When Jaclyn started to drag Jiora along, Arakel couldn't up but let out as a snort of laughter. He had noticed the woman was short before. Now she seemed even more so. Arakel wasn't having hardly any trouble with the sprint through the woods. He was rather physically fit from all of his surfing, after all.

When they paused near the HQ, Arakel pondered going inside the HQ, to tell anybody who was there was had happened. But rather quickly, he voted against that idea. He didn't know if he ever wanted to go into the HQ again or not. It held...too many memories.

And then, they had arrived at the lake. Arakel could have sighed aloud with relief at the appearance of the dimple of water. Kneeling by the lakeside, Arakel cupped water into his hands, smiling softly as it trickled out. Lakes were nothing compared to the magnificence of the ocean, but they could be a beauty among themselves.

Aylana walked up to the clearing and instantly sat down, she smiles when Sandy nudges her "I know Sandy, I'm okay...." she looks at Arakel and the others then looks to Rune.

Cloudy and Twilight stood gaurd watching the forest, there claws digging at the dirt. Aylana smirked "I hate to see a soul try to come near this lake at this point..." she stand and walks over to the lake and leaning down she splashes some water onto her face.

She leans back and looks at Rune, how the hell did he change and how were they gonna change him back, more important where was Ms. Nanakii? She sighs as she looks to Arakel "Okay we got Rune out, now how we change him back into a fa'e like us?"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 12, 2004 5:36 pm

Jiora frowned hesitantly at the pair of fa'e near the lake, beginning to wish her hearing were better than it was. She could see the woman's mouth moving, but whatever she was saying was lost to the sound of blood rushing in Jiora's ears. She shook her head and straightened somewhat, gripping Jaclyn's sleeve to steady herself. "Er..thanks for the help.." The small woman looked as though she wanted to continue - she wanted to simply take her leave then. Ghost would surely want to get back home soon...

Still... These people did seem to know him. Much as she hated it, it simply didn't feel right to leave without finding out how they knew him, even if there was a risk that she might have to give him up. She wasn't sure just how willing she'd be to walk away from him. Besides, he barely seemed to recognize them as it was... She was probably worrying over nothing then.

"I don't know!" Arakel buried his face in his hands in frustration. "I don't even know how he got to be like that, much less how to change him back. The bad thing is he doesn't even seem to recognize us." Throwing a pained look in Rune's direction, Arakel continued. "You think maybe we should contact Airi or the Lifeweaver? Surely they'll know what to do."

Swishing his tail, Arakel glared at the form of Jiora. "And why does she act like he belongs to her? I don't ever remember him being with her? What happened to Aunt Nana? I hope she wouldn't just leave with Rune like this."

"That's Rune, I know it is. He just doesn't act or even look like the Rune we knew. Maybe something went wrong when we was turning into a teen?" The idea was rather impossible, but it was the only thing Arakel could come up with. "Do you think that woman knows anything about his change?" This idea seemed just as impossible as the last one, but Arakel was rather desperate now. "Maybe we should ask her. We need any information we can get."
