He chuckled making a deep sound in his chest and the thought of crying was whippe completely from his mind. "Of course it is silly that because he doesn't have the band he's not mine, but maybe my mother was hoping I'd bring homea pretty girl before a baby?" He joked.

"I couldn't imagine being sick of Kip, but then again we' are not down one another's throats all of the time, we both have lives. I'm hoping he finds a petty girl and makes mom happy," he added quickly, "Besides, who says you'll be on your own when you leave your home? Lions do meet many people..more and more, don't they? You'll find someone you want to be with."

“Well, not everyone can have a perfect little family, right?” she said with a small smile, flickering her tail at the thought of Kubwa with a pretty girl. Well, actually, she was thinking about attacking said pretty girl, though she couldn’t fathom why. It didn’t make much sense to be jealous over someone that didn’t exist, and certainly not a girl that could make Kubwa happy. She was going to have to think about that sudden thought later, and the welling emotion that built in her chest at the same time. “I’m sure your mother will have a pretty daughter-in-law very soon, lionesses would be crazy not to fawn over you, my handsome knight.” Oh, she’d just counter her confused emotion with some harmless compliments – they always made him react so cutely.

“Who says your brother will be the first one to bring home a pretty girl, hm?” she quirked a brow, though a smirk had begun to form on her pretty face, “maybe you’ll find yourself head over heels for a nice lioness pretty soon. I wouldn’t put it past you.” She was all smiles and laughs, but there was that stabbing emotion again. Jealousy? Of course not, why would she be jealous?

“Me? I’m far too mean and sniping for anyone to like me,” she said with a small, weak laugh. Of course, she had known that her attitude would always make her end up alone for a long time, but until recently the thought hadn’t bothered her at all. “No, I’m pretty sure that I’ll end up on my own once I work up the courage to give my parents the room they deserve after putting up with me for so long.”

The blush flushed to his face faster than she could say the words, her compliments made him want to bumble around like an idiot. The sad thoughts seemed to fizzle away, but he needed to bring them back up, he had to leave quite soon, he'd said meet him at his tree, he'd need to grab Tetemeko from what ever the youth was doing and start walking. But, he didn't want to leave, leaving meant that he was going to have to pull up all the hurtful thoughts.

"Of course, I'm beating them off with sticks, didn't you know?" he chukled and for a moment was going to mention leaving but he decided a little more time here would no hurt anything.

"We're not perfect, by any means," he thought of the drama surrounding his own pelt and then all the trouble he started, was he hurting his father as much as he was hurting his mother? "Purhaps..well, purhaps you'll be beating the males off with sticks, someone as lovely as you." The blood could be seen clearly through his white fur and knowing she could see it made it worse.

She laughed softly as she saw him go scarlet, unable to help the amusement that danced in her eyes. It was always fun to torture the poor male, though she did it with the best intentions. It was cute the way he reacted, and it only pushed her to tease him further, though she’d never admit that it meant anything more than friendship. He was just too adorable to resist a bit of fun here and there and there was no harm in doing it at all, right?

“I’m sure you’ve had a few girls come calling, hm?” she said with a little laugh, though if he answered that he had, she’d probably find herself stuck in the dilemma of jealousy once more. After all, thinking of him being with that original female was enough to make her pout inwardly, and that had all happened before she met him. Of course, through all these thoughts, she was also trying to convince herself that she didn’t see him as more than a friend, which can be quite confusing when you get right down to it. “I think I generally look too moody to have the boys after me,” she said with a smile, “and thank the heavens, for I wouldn’t want to be pestered by them every day.”

As she glanced up slowly towards the sky, a soft frown formed over her lips. Like always, their conversation had stretched out over a long period of time, and she was sure that his family was ready to talk to him by now. With a little sigh, she pushed herself up onto her paws and let those beautiful blue eyes find his again. “I think you should probably get going, Kubwa,” she said with a frown, realizing that she was about to put his mind back onto the track of unhappiness once more, “they’re going to be waiting for you.”

She frowned slightly and began to turn away, though stopped all of a sudden. “If you need someone to talk to later, Kub, I’ll be by the lake. Where we first met, ok?”

"Just Boma, Tetemeko's mother," he cringed at the laughter in her eyes and knew she was making him blush on purpose, unfortunately he had no control over that, "I think the moody look is a good one for you, but I like to see that bright smile," he said uncharacteristically.

He noticed her looking around and bobbed his head in the way he usually did, "I'll come see you, I may need someone then, remember if I'm a blubbering fool you said to, okay?" He joked half heartedly, she was right it was time to face the family. "Lets hope I beat them too the tree, shall we?"

She frowned slightly at the mention of Tete’s mother, but at least she had a name now. Thinking about her for too long, however, made her cringe, even the more so when she realized she was doing it. “Well, I’ll have to remember that you like my smile so much,” she said, offering up a weak one, though none the less pretty for it.

“I’ll remember and I’ll be glad I offered to be there,” she said with a gentle purr, beginning to turn around again. “I hope everything goes ok, Kubwa, and I’ll see you soon, ok?” She gave him one last smile over her shoulder before disappearing into the golden grasses of the savannah, her pelt blending in almost perfectly.
