He chuckled at the spazz, licking her cheek before curling up around her. "Good. You're so cute," he grinned, licking her ears to dry them off more.

She giggled as Konane licked her ears. "And you're so soft!" She snuggled closer to him.

He gave her a look full of mocking pain. "Did you think I wasn't?" he sniffled, his eyes sparkling with unreleased laughter. "I do have fur, don't I?"

"No of course not! But some foxes don't have really soft fur... or fur at all..." She scowled a bit at the thought. "And you have fur and it's really soft."

He chuckled at her response, nuzzling her neck and curling as best he could around her. "Good. Must be all those berries I eat when I can't find good hunting," he joked, licking her ear again.

He smiled even more at that, curling around her. "Sleep if you want, dear. I'll still be here with you, I promise." A yawn accompanied his words, though he stifled it as he nuzzled her head.

Sangre nodded slightly, already falling asleep. She was safe.... and warm... and that is all that mattered to her.

Smiling at her sleeping form, he lay his head down next to her and slept beside her, keeping both ears up and alert. After all, one never knew when danger would show itself.

Sangre slept soundly that night. The next morning, she stretched carefully next to him. At some point they needed to get back... Or not. She guessed that everyone would be okay with out them. She did need to go to her tribe lands though and check in.
She licked Konane's muzzle. "Konane..."
