Isilahi looked somewhat pale and stone-faced as she realised what she'd let slip. She honestly thought she might have already mentioned this, but obviously not. She looked away from him and avoided the prying questions.

"I...don't know what...you're talking about," she said through pursed lips and eyes cast away from Zizima. "Its not like...its any of your business anyways."

Zizima blinked at the very sudden change in the female's disposition. "Wait, what?" He walked around to where Isilahi had turned her head and lowered his own so that he could look her in the eyes. If he had a conscience, which he didn't believe he had, he would've felt somewhat guilty about having brought about this change in her. Instead, he just wanted to know what was wrong with her.

The question was though, why did he even care? If Zizima wasn't messed up enough already in regards to Mzimu, he now found himself actually wanting to know what was wrong with Isilahi.

"I said, its not your business," she replied, somewhat meekly and lacking any kind of conviction as he was continuing to pursue this subject. She walked off then, not going very fast.

Isilahi had heard at some point in her travels that if you share a problem, it doesn't feel as heavy. But would that work in this instance? With this lion, who seemed o wrapped up in himself, so hardy and un-feeling?

Not being one to give up so easily, Zizima quickly moved to block Isilahi's path, a deep-set frown now apparent on his face. In his own mind, he knew that if someone was butting into his own life like this he would be very annoyed, yet he couldn't allow the lioness to leave until he knew what was wrong. At that very moment, the penny dropped.

Isilahi would sometimes ask him about his past, and he would almost always go on the defensive. He had always wondered why she even bothered, but now he knew. The reason he wanted to know what was wrong was because he cared about her. Of course, he didn't know if the lioness felt the same, as she may just have been curious about his past. He had so much to think about now, his head felt as though it was about to explode. "Just tell me what's wrong, OK?" His tone had voice didn't sound as gruff as usual as he tried to get Isilahi to open up to him.

Isilahi looked flustered that he had stepped in front and blocked her retreat, but she didn't do much in protest beside give him a frustrated glare. But that quickly melted away as Zimiza changed his tone of voice, and totally caught her off guard.

She looked down at her paws for a long while, and then out to see, then back towards the in-land, the cliffs, actually looking like she might tell him something. Isilahi sighed heavily.

"I don't like the water beacause...I saw my sister drown..."

Although he didn't look it at first, Zizima was deeply shocked at what Isilahi had revealed to him. He wasn't sure what he had been expecting her to say, but he never would've expected that. She had never even mentioned having a sister before, and now he knew why. Before he even realised what he was doing, he moved forward and lowered his head, resting it around her shoulders so that her head was leaning into his mane.

"I'm sorry for your loss." He said finally, remaining where he was stood. Being this physically close to someone, let alone a lioness, was completely new to the hulking half-Firekin. His muscles were tensed, as he would have to move immediatly if Isilahi didn't want him to console her like this. His heart was also beating very fast, although he didn't know why.

Like Zizima, Isilahi was not used to a sense of closeness either. As he lowered his head and mane in a show of support, she stood still, just unusure exactly was the 'norm' in this situation. But she couldn't deny the instinct to want comfort after imparting something so delicate, so fragile. After exposing something about herself that was deeply dark.

She didn't fling herself into him, but she just kind of leaned onto him, like he was a great big pillow.

The pair stood there for what seemed like ages. Zizima remained almost perfectly motionless, still unsure if what he was doing was right. It certainly felt right, but he couldn't be completely sure. When he finally decided to move, he backed up a little so that he could look at Isilahi.

A small smile touched his maw as he looked at her, before motioning towards the cave. "Shall we head back? Although he wouldn't admit it, I bet Mzimu has missed us." Saying that, he returned to her side, his eyes watching her carefully for any signs that she may need more time before heading back. "And don't worry, I won't mention what you've told me to anyone. I promise."

When he moved, she wasn't totally expecting it and faltered a little but caught herself well. Afterwards, she still looked a little shaken, as if saying what she said opened an old wound and it had slowly drained the energy from her. She was more than appreciative of his suggestion to go back, and was oblivious to the fact she'd be spending one more day close to the Big Water.

As they travelled back, two figures on the sand creating pawprints, she didn't say much but occasionally tried to catch Zizima's eye with a look of thanks.

"Thank you," she finally said meekly as they approached Mzimu's cave.
((Hopefully, thats an okay wrap ^-^))
