My Favorite game to movie is maybe Final Fantasy, It's the only one that really comes to mind.
It wasn't an adaption of any of the previous titles but it would make a nice Blu ray purchase and you can see a lot of it's ideas echoed in other Final Fantasy titles especially 10.
What would I want to see?
Maybe Starcraft, Warcraft, Gears of war or a Pokemon movie (Live action)
But then I'd be inclined to want to direct them myself. Would be interesting to see how one would handle a gears of war film though.
I saw Price of persia back there that would be interesting as well.

I think they confirmed a Metal Gear Solid movie which will probaly be pretty cool since it is a very cinematic game

It's not really confirmed as being in production I think some studio just announced that they have the rights to make a Metal Gear movie.

Leon Kennedy.
Chris Redfield.
Wayne from LP (OMG, Teh LP Movie = Win).
Heather-wtf-was-her-last-name-chick from SH3.
Lilith.
Mordecai.
Roland.
Taki.
Link.
Zelda.
Ganondarf.
Phoenix Wright.
....and that's just off the top of my head. xD I agree with some of those.

I'll be glad when there's no more Halo games.

a really good video game movie huh?...... nothing really comes to mind. I'd like to see one video game movie that was ok..... they think that by changing the source material will bee a good thing, but they never do as well as others. you can always tell if it's a video game movie. it should be treated as something more than that

A prequel to the first two games, thus having more of a storyline
