"Exactly!" Bodaway sat up, ears pricked. "Just because I am Firekin, does not make me evil by default. Just because Paki is brown does not mean he will want to tear you apart." As if to prove this, the red male got up and went over, sitting right next to him. "You shouldn't let your assumptions of others stop you from being happy, you know. But consider, too, how others feel." He offered a friendly smile, tail curling a bit.

Though initially afraid of the fact such a massive lion was next to him, Zimwi was distracted from said fear by the things the lion said. His brow furrowed as he mulled over it, thinking of Safura's yearning to be in this particular area. But how would they and keep them both happy...? The lands were possitively teaming with lions! "Still... If I'm ever going to meet others... I need to start small... Er, in number. I can't just waltz into the nearest huge pride and join... I can't handle that... Not yet..."

The massive lion pondered over this, laying down and crossing his paws again. "You could try the swamps... Passed by them on the way here... Didn't go in, though. But I caught the faintest scent of lions, so maybe there's some hiding in there. If there are... They may be as small as you." He didn't mean that as an insult... If it came off as such... Oops. His tail flicked a little as he pondered something. The little lion sort of reminded him of a Firekin. With the right parents, after all, a lion COULD come out white. The gray could be considered smoke. After all... Smoke came from fire, did it not? "You say your family is dead... I've been gone so long, I assume mine is such, too. Perhaps..."

Orange eyes looked up to gold in surprise. "Are you asking me to be... Related...?" His ears flicked back just a little. "I don't think I could be like a son to you, I haven't known you that long and all..." He looked back over the horizons. "A brother, though..." A pang resounded in Zimwi's soul as he thought of his slaughtered brothers and sisters. "A brother would be good..." Even though miles would seperate them... But he didn't think it was that uncommon.

The Firekin smiled a little, unable to hide it. "Then may you carry Finar-si's blessing, Zimwi of the dying jungle." He rose, stretching his old body. "But I'm afraid... Little brother... That I must take my leave. Perhaps I'll seek you out again someday. I'll look in the swamps first. But until then..." He nodded to the little lion, smiling, and walked off across the plains. He had a home to return to.

The swamp... Zimwi thought about it, then about his 'big brother.' How was he going to explain this to Safura...? He got up, stretching out his individual toes a bit. For the first time in his life, he wasn't afraid. He wasn't afraid of what the future held, of what surrounded him... Or more importantly, of other lions. Looking about, he went on his way and sought out Safura. The mysteries of the swamp called to him.
