I'd say Ipod, because it has misc. functions.

If you mean a clock, voice recorder AND can store things other than songs, my $30 Sandisk has all that.

Oh wait, mine also has an AM/FM radio. What? Most versions of the iPod don't have that?

I say if you want an iPod, go right ahead, but I think it's pretty dumb to pay triple or quadruple or MORE for a brand name when a cheaper one is just as good, if not better.

mp3 ( got stolen) i have an ipod bt i chose mp3 cuz u can only drag song in2 the ipod n nt out im kinna tire or redlin m songs b4 i 4gt 2 save it wen i clean m comp.

They're both good, iPod is good looking but doesn't last that long on the battery while most MP3s last longer than iPods.

iPod.

My iPod refuses to die, its name is Havok, and if I could marry it, I would. We have been together since Christmas of 2002.

I briefly considered getting a Zune for the price savings, due to the fact that I wanted a player with video capability for some trips I was going to take, but after I worked at Best Buy for a few months over the summer, I won't ever buy a Zune. We had about twice as many Zunes than iPods returned due to breaking/not working right in the first place.
