Swallowing his own half of the apple with relative ease, Safi proceded to grin and nod at Wadi. "No problem; better to share than to waste, no?" Chuckling, he trailed his tongue over his lips, then frowned slightly as he eyed Wadi's face. There were flecks of apple and juice along his muzzle, probably as a result of the force of the break; that, in turn, made Safi wonder if he had such apple particules on HIS face.
"Do I have apple bits on my face now?"

Seeing the other stallion's look he figured he had something on his face and licked his muzzle. It wouldn't do to leave anything there for too long. "No .... i don't think so."
Once he'd stuck his tongue back in his mouth he tilted his head to look at the other's face to make sure. "Apple free."

Well, that was nice to know. Still, he ran a wing over his muzzle, just to be safe.
Wadi must have gotten the full force of the break, as he STILL had flecks of apple on his face. "Well, that makes one of us, at least. Want me to get that for you?"
Smiling, he tapped gently at the side of Wadi's muzzle with his wing, right along the place that still bore apple bits. "It's a cute look, but I think you'd start sneezing as they dried out." Or they'd attract bugs.

He wiggled his nose trying to get the apple to fall off. "Umm....yes ... that'd be nice." He didn't want to stay there and he'd look silly trying to get it off himself.

"Alright, hold still." Stepping closer, Safi gently flicked at the various apple bits, his touch light on Wadi's muzzle. Then, having satisfied himself that he'd taken care of the pieces, he finished by gently blotting at the juice that still stuck at Wadi's cheeks. "There we go, that ought to be good. All clean!"
Smiling, he pulled back the wing, licking at the tips as he did so. "Mmm...I do love apple juice. It has a nice tang, don't you think?"

His cheek twitched slightly as Safi brushed the apple bits off and he grinned. "It does taste good. If you can find the green apples it's even better."
The green ones, which he almost never found, were really tart and his favorite. Something about them was just more interesting than the usual red ones.

"If you're into that sort of soury flavor. Personally, I'm not too much of a fan of the green ones; they make my mouth feel pruney. Give me a sweet apple any day!"
Still, it was kind of interesting to learn this new tidbit. So Wadi like sour fruit, hrm? "If we ever find any green apples, you're more than welcome to keep them all. I like a bit of tartness, but there is such a thing as too much!"

"Just means more for me then." He grinned and shifted so he could nudged Safi slightly. "There aren't many of'em around though. Not the right something or other for'em to grow"
Or something like that. He hadn't traveled far enough to learn about that sort of thing but he did know that some things grew better in certain places.

At the impish look on Wadi's face, Safi could only grin in return. "Sounds like a good plan. I'll take the red apples, you the green, and in the case we find one that's both...we'll just share it. Perfect plan. Assuming that we manage to find these very rare trees of which you speak."
He himself didn't know much about the rarity or lack thereof of green apples; since he didn't like them, he didn't look for them. But anyway, off the subject of apples...
"So, now that we've ran, slept, and eaten, what do you feel like doing, Wadi?"

"You'll just have to keep an eye out in case you find some so you can tell me." He nodded and laughed softly. He didn't know if Safi had really ever seen some of them but he wandered around more so there was a good chance.
"I ... don't know." He frowned slightly as he thought about that. He didn't usually do anything in particular so he wasn't sure what would be fun.

"Sure thing; I'll put a flag on the side of the tree and send you a message by carrier pigeon first chance I get." Assuming he could find a carrier pigeon, that was. "Or maybe I'll just have to drag you along with me to save time."
With that he gave Wadi a teasing wink, letting the other know that he was of course joking. "Seriosuly, though, I'd never drag you; it's rough on the shoulders. No, if I was going to force you along I'd just bite at your heels or tug on your hair periodically, as that's much easier on me."
Having gotten THAT settled, though, it was his turn to be thoughtful again. "So, no preference, eh? Well, we have some options, I suppose; there's wandering through the woods, there's having another good run, we could go swimming in the river, track down Cerdi and torment him with your prescence, polish our hooves...the options are endless. Though if I may be frank...my hooves really don't need polishing."

His eyes widened slightly at the idea of Safi prodding him to go anywhere. "That could hurt!" He huffed and shook his head. That didn't seem all the pleasant. "I'll .. just go along to save you the trouble"
He thought about their options. "A bath might be nice. Have to find a deeper part of the river .... that's free of fish."

"Smart stallion. It's always best to try to do things in the least painful fashion, barring if you're a masochist. But you don't seem that wat to me, so we'll just assume you're not. And a swim it is!" Even though he preferred flying himself, Safi was also pretty fond of the water; he could move faster through it than he could on land, and it was always a relaxing experience.
Grinning, Safi gestured with a wing for Wadi to start back in the direction of the river, waiting until then to start himself. "Theoretically, the river is plenty deep out here already, but we'll just wander along until you find something that looks good to you. That sound ok?"

"Yes .. but it's deep and dark and i can't see things." He knew there were places down the river where the water was clear and you could see all the way to the bottom even if it came up to his chest.
He liked that water better. He could see fish if they tried to sneak up on him.

Fair enough. Chuckling, Safi gave Wadi a nod, then trotted off into the trees in the direction of the river. "Alrighty, we'll see if we can't find some of these calear spots. You look carefully at the river as we go along, and then once you've found a place that looks promising, I'll check it out for safety's sake before you set even a toe in, alright?"
There couldn't be anything wrong with THAT plan, could there? Turning his head back over his shoulder, Safi gave Wadi another teasing look. "But you'll have to hoof it faster than you're doing, if you want to get a good soak in before it gets dark."
