Remus listened softly, ears flicking up and back, his mind storring and sorting the information he was learning even as he soaked up the advice and support that he clearly needed now. He gave Naneth a wry grin when she was finished speaking. "Yes... there is much truth in what you say. And no.. I do not believe Ayoko wanted things quite this way, though I am of the impression she cares for this Saix far more than she is willing to let on."
The wizard sighed, then gave a sheepish grin. "I must confess it is odd, being the one who needs the help and advice after so long being one come to for such things. Finding the good in the bad... yes. It is amazing sometimes, what we forget to think upon when our emotions cause us to become distraught. Thank you, Naneth."

Naneth grinned right back at him. "It's been my lifeline more than once, finding the good in the bad. Not literally, but... I'm sure you know what I mean." Her smile softened. "And if Ayako really has feelings for this... Saix? And if he's not out and out turning them away... well, Bryna's father settled down, and perhaps some day even this Saix of hers might grow to... at least appreciate her. Perhaps their kind can't really experience love, but there must be something there more than simple emptiness, if Xigbar is any indication." She butted his shoulder gently with her head, grinning again. "Stranger things have happened, and sometimes patience is a powerful tool."
She stretched her leg and shoulder on the side with the scar. After sitting in a slightly akward, if not uncomfortable, position next to Miaka's resting form the unusual arrangement of her limbs was making her shoulder stiff. And considering the time... it had to be nearly time for them to eat dinner. "Do you think I should wait with her until she wakes?" A rather subtle way of asking if he'd like her wait with Miaka while he went to dinner.

He nodded, silently taking in both advice and opinion. Yes... there was hope. He would have to hold to that. And hope that too much was not riding on the kits warming the Nobody's non-existent heart. He hoped they could at least be friends... but Saix seemed so cold while he had stayed here waiting for the eggs to arrive, and he had not remained while they now waited for them to hatch. Oh, Remus knew some fathers were distant with their families, but it pained his heart that it should be the father of his grandkits. For all Sesshomurou's (sp, I know. O_o) coolness his other 'son-in-law' was pleasing Remus in devotion to eggs & Vynnessia; and there was affection as well, the werewolf had noted happily.
A soft blink as Naneth's subtle question pierced his thoughts. "That would be kind. I doubt she will sleep long past the opening of the door, once the smell of the meal gets to her, but I can go and bring a tray back for the three of us. I know Miaka will take joy in the company. As I have." Rising, Remus gave a bow. "Thank you, Naneth."
