But, I mean, c'mon they had to do this. The Wii-mote + nunchuk is the Samba de Amigo controller. I, too, never had the chance to play the original. So long as they don't bog the game down with mini-games and focus more on the actual game (I'm looking at you Sonic and the Secret Rings...), I'm sure it will be an awesome package.
Hell, I'm hoping for a port with more recent songs. You know, things like the SA2 theme song. Sonic's theme from SA2. Maybe a remix of Shadow's theme from SA2. I know you hate SatSR, but Seven Rings in hand would make a lovely addition imo.
I should tell y'all. I think Sega is following me. Everyone at nightsintodreams.com was saying that JoD needed more time, and it got pushed back.

I believe the original game used songs performed by Latino artists, and later, you could download music from Sega's library through the built-in internet capabilities of the Dreamcast. Wow, that would be a great way to implement WiiConnect24, by having songs automatically uploaded to your Wii. Plus, you could probably have online multiplayer. Guitar Hero III has it on Wii, I assume Sega could do it too...
Well, this time they could simply include them in the game. They included internet things in SA biggrin X, this time they could make it accessable to the user. I think online leaderboards would be more appropriate, unless they're going to include some sort of battle mode with the ability to mess up your opponent.

-Music: Tango, I know you are a staunch supporter of this game's music, but most of us absolutely hate it. And you know why it is so hated? The songs have lyrics. Get rid of the lyrics, and you have angsty, Arabic-inspired rock, which would fit the game perfectly.
Go to Youtube, look up "Seven Rings in hand" and look at the comments for videos. Or, there's an excellent example in my comedy thread.
We want our Chaos Emeralds back, and the ability to transform into to Super Sonic, and would it kill them to bring back machine guns and rocket launchers from Shadow the Hedgehog?

Agh, there are some weird people in this world. But everyone I've shown the game to and everyone I know who owns the game does not like the music and I think it is because of the lyrics.

Yeah, one of my favorite parts of the original Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy was Super Sonic, it was sort of like a payoff for all the work you put into getting the chaos emeralds.

Personally, I prefer my Shadow seperate from my Sonic. Unless they're both platforming, I think it's better that they be apart.

Do you think they should do away with the mission structure system? I know I never went back to complete extra missions outside of the necessary ones. Did you like them? And with that, I'm off to watch Family Guy for half an hour, be back later.

Well, the idea of adding content later through WiiConnect24 later sounds appealling. For example, with the original game, there was an original version and a "2000 version" both of which had different songs. Instead of needing to buy another copy, perhaps they could automatically upload it to the Wii.

Well, leaderboards are a must, but I think a regular score versus mode would be fine as well. Personally, I would rather them do something unique with Samba de Amigo than what's already been done with Guitar Hero III.

Um, Sheik, you do know that the Wii version of GH won't have downloadable content initially, right?
I think the they could limit the amount of missions and put in more stages. Something like SA2's arrangement would be nice. They NEED to allow transformation into Super Sonic and Chaos Emeralds. It adds so much to replay value, and Super Sonic is an assload of fun. Also, we want are chaos back. Msybe nightopians in JoD will satisfy my chao needs.

Yeah, I know, but I was refferring to online "battle mode". However, I don't consider downloadable content to be a big asset of the Guitar Hero franchise, anyway. While Rock Band relies on it a lot, that's because it's essentially the basis of the whole product and it only has 40 songs included on the disc. Guitar Hero III, on the other hand, includes 70 songs on the disc.

I like having about 8 very large stages, they said the reason they put the missions in was to extend the replayability of the game. I felt most of them were stupid and didn't bother with them. In my opinion, there should only be three "missions" to each level, Act One, Act Two, and Boss Fight.

I think Sega should come out with a Chao game for the DS. Just a chao garden for your DS, at a reasonable $20 price. Then, it could also have interoperability between it and the next Wii Sonic game, like trading Chaos or unlocking certain special breeds...

Fo sho, Daxelman. Um, I really like the system in SA2. Each stage with a standard three missions and 2 difficulty levels. An extra hard mode would be nice as well.
I'm not sure a chao game by itself would work. Chao's gave you the initiative to go back to stages over and over again, and discover everything about the stages to have the best run through. I think they can expand the chao concepts quite a bit, as well. More animals, diffrent colored chaos, maybe even turn one animal group in to two animal groups. Perhaps accompany luck and intelligence stats with notable characteristics. Another thought. I think maybe the next Sonic Riders could have chao gardens, mind, the controls in the gardens would have to be similar to Adventure and A2. Think about it, it would act as initiative for the players to learn to play, so no matter how hard they sucked, the learning curve would at least be met by progress in Chao raising.
Here's a thought, how come they can't make Sonic Adventure 3? It could work on the same power, same engine, same characters(same Voice Acting especially) for all I care. If it had diffrent stages and a diffrent story, I'd buy it.

Just a question for everyone in this guild, if Sega made a system, would you buy it?

Nope, the only one I've ever owned was a Genesis!

Beautiful. Its amazing what they can do with Gamecube graphics and a very surreal setting. CGI=teh sex So far, looks freakin awesome. I notice a little bit of clunkiness on the land segments. They'll have to fix that, but the majority of players will be NiD fanatics, and will therefore use traditional controls with the nunckuk. I'm interested to see what they can do with this,
