Tip: Regardless of what you try, or who you manage to date, there's nothing you can do about finding a "real" relationship, real meaning one that lasts and is serious. If you're going to find your soulmate, it's all pretty dependant on her falling into your life.
Then you get to work your butt off.
Case in point: I live in Texas, and happen to be both non-religious and rather liberal. Combine that with a sarcastic sense of humor, and you have a guy that has already eliminated 95% of the female populace as potential "girlfriends." Forget finding a soulmate; I don't stand a chance of getting a date. confused
However, all that's irrelevant, because playing the field would do me no good anyway. No matter who I dated, it would never last. But then along came Emily. You know how you'll have a television show, and you know the two main characters should be together? It's like that. I'd go into detail about why we will end up together, but it's beside the point. The point is that you'll meet some girl, and not only is she going to appreciate your devotion to chivalry, or perhaps your sensitivity (or whatever you have going), or maybe even your walk-all-over-ableness. And not only that, she's going to have 9/10 of the qualities on your perfect girl list.
Now, the worst part is that she's gonna like you as a friend. You're going to have to work hard to A) be the best damn friend you can, and B) don't get discouraged. If this girl simply doesn't like you, then she's obviously not quite the girl I described above. Or maybe you're ugly. Just kidding; I'm ugly and it worked for me. Temporarily. stressed
So until then, keep doing your thing. Or don't. It doesn't really matter; whatever relationships you get into will disappear until you find that girl. So go do some homework, or get a job (or both), and if you get the chance, start a frivolous relationship or two. You never know, you could end up finding her that way. Many qualities don't make themselves obvious.

Those pretty boys have the confidence to stand tall but the selfishness to think only of themselves.

In highschool type short term relationships nice guys finish last because people are looking for fun, excitement and whatever is easily available. In long term relationships nice guys are the winners because they have what girls really want.

Many qualities don't make themselves obvious. That really encouraged me too. I've been really discouraged lately because I feel like every guy I date ends up being an a-hole. But you're right, I'll find someone eventually. (and everyone else will too 3nodding )

Hey, don't get discouraged if you don't look like the ideal hunk. the way I see it, beauty is really in the eye of the beholder. For instance, by most poeple's standards, I've been hit on by a few really hot guys, but to me, they're as ugly as they come. Different people have different views on what's hot and what's not. If half a dozen girls turn you down because of your looks alone, then they're shallow air heads, among other things stare . I garentee that there's at least one girl that you'll meet that will think you're the best looking guy ever, inside and out. Nice guys don't finish last. They're the ones who get the gold mrgreen

AmmonSuperCombo Liera Unullagata They don't. Sure, you may not get the girl now, but you'll find a nice one eventually and get married. The guys who aren't nice just end up with STDs and child support payments. xd yup! high five for that one. we win in the long haul! i concur!!! i really have just wanted to say that all day and just got my chance xp

Nice guys are good... they finish last caus' they're soo nice they last longer...?! gonk
Every girl wants a guy that's nice and loyal to her.. but they also want someone that will do dangerous activities... or prove to be human, and it's human to get angry and human to be mean sometimes... Personaly, if I meet a guy and he doesn't get mad, I know that he's just building it up inside and sooner or later it'll all burst out at once, which isn't good and a very bad way to deal with anger... so I wouldn't really want to be with that person. eek Just... try to be fun! ^^

Mabey that is your point of veiw because you havn't found the right girl yet. I know from experience girls like it when a boy plays with them and treats them as a friend. Just be yourself and trust me the right girl will come.

"And the last shall be first, and the first shall be last..." Even though now, you may be stepped on, and shredded to bits, you are the ones that will get the prize later. The guys I know of that have all the girls, don't care about them, and/or are just looking for someone who kisses well. They rarely have any personality. The guys that have to work harder on it are the ones that get to be married to wonderful gals. And the best husbands in the world are your best friend. Atraction only lasts a few years, true friendship and love will last all of your life. 3nodding

How come a "nice guy" can't/won't end up with STDs and Child support payments, not saying i condone that stuff, but really what if he was just being such a "nice guy" that he was doing what the girl wanted and ended up with an STD and child support payments??
