*starts to ask something, but then seems to change her mind, and says instead* 'Tis starting te look quite like a real tree, now.

They're twinkling lights. *bard thinks* like colored stars. in my time we only rarely use candles for light. we use light bulbs instead... some are bright enough to light a room. Some, like these, just look pretty.
*he finishes wrapping the strand and plugs it in*

*makes a noise of surprise as the tree lights up, and then just stares, completely dazzled* Ohhh . . . 'tis beautiful! *turns for a moment to see out the window, then back again* They're like the ones outside.

Just like that. They're sometimes called fairy lights. You can guess why.

*Bard laughs, hanging an elf marionette* Everyone decorates their trees differently. But for me, it's about joy and happiness. For children especially. So a lot of my ornaments are toys.

Ohh, how lovely . . *looks from the angel, to the top of the tree, then back again, shaking her head* I dinna think I can reach the top of it, though.
