She sighed and moved over so she could rest her head against her son's neck. "You can't hide from him forever. And he can't hide from you either. It'll never sit right with me until the two of you stop ... well whatever it is you do."
She just couldn't see her family being complete until Dodger and Wylie stopped fighting over everything.

"I know, Mama..." He hated knowing that his mother was upset with something he'd done. He hated seeing that look in her eyes. Shaking his head he turned to his mother's new friend, no longer all that worried about what sort of intrest he might have in her. "It ain't that easy."
"Believe me, I know it isn't." He managed a slight smile. "I should practice the words I preach. After you and I part ways I probably should go in search of the source of my disagreements."

She lifted her head slightly and smiled at Azriphale. "You'll have to come back and visit. Maybe you could talk some sense into Dodger seeing as how no one else can." Aside from the usual temper flare the fights were instigated by Dodger anyway. Wylie just had Remy's temper and reacted with too much fire to things.

"Oh, you can be assured that I will certainly come back... Afterall, I haven't met this special stallion of yours yet." He winked, letting his smile broaden a bit.
He snorted softly as he shook his head. There wasn't anyone that could talk any sense into Dodger... Not if Mama couldn't.

She laughed softly as she stepped away from Wylie to give Azriphale a friendly nudged. "I should probably get back to said stallion before he wonders what sort of wicked thing has lured me into it's clutches. I'd hate for him to get the wrong ideas."
She turned around and nudged her head in the direction of home so Wylie would go too. "Say hello to your friend for me Az."

"Perhaps, if he promises to be on best behaviour, I'll introduce you to him next time." He nodded, giving her a chaste nudge in return before turning to look at the young stallion. "Do try to make peace with your past. It generally finds a way to eat at you if you don't."
His nose scrunched as he gave his head a light toss, listening to the strange stallion's words even as he trotted off. Yeah, yeah... he'd make his peace.
