I used to like j-pop and j-rock a lot more a few years back, but I somehow grew out of it a lot. I still occasionally listen to:
J-rock Malice Mizer Moi Dix Mois Gackt X-Japan Dir En Grey (I never really liked them that much)
J-pop Ayumi Hamasaki Maki Goto Hinoi TEAM Minimoni Morning Musume W
On a sidenote, Galneryus is an awesome Japanese power metal band.

Krusnik Yoshiki mmm Galneryus. Still love the X Japan. Got rid of most of my Dir en Grey. But I still have all the rest of my Jrock. I've also deleted quite many Dir en Grey songs from my computer, but I've saved a few for possible future listening.
If you like Galneryus, have you heard 403 Forbiddena? They're also quite awesome, but it's tough to find their music anywhere. sad
Here's a link to where I first heard them: Nightmare City 1 & 2. There used to be a website for these flash animations, but for some reason I can't find it. =o
