"Hm... it does have its perks. Although, you seem to be the type that would rather be attached." She just didn't strike him as the type that wanted to be alone. "But, everyone is in need of some companionship" he continued.
However, a smirk crossed his maw. "I wouldn't say vacation...its just how I live." He noted the envy in her tone, although thinking it was not well placed.

Her mind stumbled over that statement. Attached? "Maybe. I suppose to just kits though." It had been a strange and new chapter in her life, but she had found young ones to be a pleasant company. One she adored to no end. She turned her attention once more to the fish. "Tch, companionship? Try it sometime." She had realized it wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
A way of life, even better than a vacation. No deadlines or plans. "Heh, sounds nice." Like her own days way before. It was still something she considered worth retrying.

Darkfeather stiffened at her words a glower shot towards Setsumi, "I have" he said flatly. Companionship that is. "Do you think I not have a life?" he snapped. He snorted and tapped his tails irritably on the ground.
Setsumi assumed way too much. Just because he liked to travel and was quiet, didn't mean nothing ever happened to him.

Setsumi's eyes widened. That had been an unexpected surprise, coming from the reclusive kitsu. Her own assumptions were usually passable, if not correct. Maw fidgeted, and she couldn't decide whether to apologize or snipe back.
"How am I to know? You speak so rarely." Ignoring both options, the femme decided to just continue the conversation. It was enough of a resistance, however, to make her tails tap themselves. "And? How is that life, from your own perspective?" This would be interesting to hear of.

Again he snorted, but it was true.. he didn't speak much, but that didn't really mean anything. However, he question practicly made him bristle, "Do you speak so freely about your life with someone you've only met twice?" he asked back to her.
In other words.. it was none of her business. After all.. its not like she's told him about her guy problems with Elian... and he had things he'd rather keep private as well.

Her own feathers bristled, and she turned her head to the side with maw twitching. "When it's asked, yes. It's called being polite. But, apparently not. Fine, what do I care?" She was not in the mood to argue. She was trying to give the other the benefit of the doubt. Hear him speak of his own accord. But no, he'd decided to remain a closed mask. Her eyes turned to glare at a random bush, lush with green leaves. "You're...so weird."

He rolled his eyes, "Forgive me if I don't care to discuss every detail of my life, like some do." His tone a sarcastic one. He tried to be polite and decent, even offered her his food, but well... so much for gratitude.
He sighed heavily, ruffling his feathers as he thought to himself. Lifting a brow when he heard her call him weird. "Takes one to know one."

She didn't bother responding quickly. Too busy keeping her temper in check. With a deep sigh, it was gone. Just like that. Green eyes turned back to the gray kitsu. "No....you're right. Even if you did bring it up, that's all that's needed."
A hum of a chuckle passed, and she shook her head. "Yeah, interesting." She had never thought of herself as weird before. Blame it on the season. D; Stupid mood swings.

He thought females in general were moody, so well.. this didn't surprise him all that much. Darkfeather sat in contemplative silence for some moments. Perhaps trying to decide how to best proceed with this colorful, feathered female.
"Well.. I suppose I've bothered you enough, and I assume you'd rather be alone?" Rising to his paws, he dipped his head towards her and ruffled his wings, prepared to take off back into the canopy.

She blinked at his silence, and only then was she able to feel the tinges of being guilty. Her maw opened to speak, when he shuffled up and spread his wings to leave.
"Oh, okay." She shouldn't be all surprised. After all, it was the same Darkfeather as before. Still, she was hoping to say she had learned more of the other than the last time they met. But, nothing. "Hm, you were no bother. And again, I apologize." ....She hesitated abit, before it got to be too much. "Is it worth it? The companionship thing?" She didn't really expect him to answer, but who else was there to ask?

He paused at her apology, as if he hadn't completely expected those words from her. And again he hesitated at her question. He frowned a bit, and for an instant... he looked almost... sad... lonely... but it was very fleeting. "If you're willing to risk being hurt." His tone was cryptic... as if there was a story behind what he said, but he didn't go further.
Instead, the avian-like Kitsusagi took off into the air, and quickly rose through the canopy. Perhaps they would meet again... perhaps not. He also left the fish behind... purposely.
