"I'm up to kicking a Saxons a** any day of the weak Reina." Lain had been seated at the table, partaking in a refreshing beverage of warmed Rosemary, sage and berry. He knew this day would come. The Saxons had been dormant for far too long, and as he had predicted their return was swift and as devastating as the first wave of barbarians that paved their world with crimson fires and rivers of blood from their kin.
"I think we were the first to receive the message, and I'm sure Lancelot is pleased at our heightened sense of duty on the matter. But even in the letter, he did not mention why Queen Guinevere was kidnapped, or even how the Saxon troops had molested their way into our city, so that leads me to believe our brave leader has little to no information to give us, other than SAVE THE QUEEN." He chanted the las three words and his mouth twisted. He was utterly disgusted in the behaviors of the enemy, only an animal would stoop so low as to kidnap a woman with child and drag her across desert, forest and marsh just to hold her prisoner, something was amiss, and Lain was determined to find out.
"We must wait for the others..." The night air crept into the room from an uncovered window, chilling his armor and awakening his spirit. He placed his hand on Reina;s shoulder and looked deep into her endless eyes. "We must not fail, the future of Camelot, and the world, rests in her belly." As he walked past his half kin he was instantly bathed in the moonlight. It was a good omen, but for whom, Lain was not too sure.
Artemis roamed freely across the grassland lazily, no, relaxing. The steed was as patient as his master, and there was no doubt the beat of the battle drum raged deep within him. he knew what was expected of him, and like years past, he would complete his duties with honor and passion. The Knights horses were just as important as the Knights, and they knew this, especially the Elven ones.

It was true, they had little knowledge of what the situation was, or where there beloved queen could be. Reina paced around back and forth, not out of nervs nor impatience, but so much energy was pent up in her lithe frame, that she had to swing her sword against something, and feel it crumble down to her feet. Oh how joyous she would feel, frontline and hacking at those good for nothing barbarians. Her silver eye cought the moonlight, and the glowing of the shimmering sphere above them.
"I don't know how much longer I can wait for the others. Of course now, they are going to come, get word of the news and suppose we have a plan or something, leave it up to us as always." Gripping onto the hilt of the sword, she wrapped her fingers around the golden handle tightly, straining her muscle to stop her from whipping out the blade and swinging it around recklessly. "I'm guessing it would be too much to assume that, you might have conjured up a plan?" She was hoping that maybe he would have, he was a bit more serious than she was. As Reina spoke and filled her mind, she reached the tree closest to Artemis and himself, climbing ontop of the limbs, looking down over the both of them.
"Because you know, as soon as the others get here, they're going to figure that you might have thought of something, seeing as I never have a plan, except, raise your swords and run to the closest enemy." Reina let a giggle escape her lips, it had been long since she showed any emotion of glee in public. Quickly, she cleared her throat, hoping to throw him off and leaned right back against the trunk of the tree, closing her eyes, and tuning her ears to listen for footsteps, or anything that might hint that the others were on their way.

Her amusement in the journey to come was refreshing for Lain. The weight of the inevitable was threatening to undermine any uplifting thoughts he may have had regarding the future. As if Artemis had read his masters thoughts, he nudged his shoulder with a heart felt neigh, showing Lain the confidence he had not only in him, but in all of the other knights that would journey with them.
"A plan?.." His pale white eyebrow raised in a slight arch as Lain tilted his head upward and locked on to Reina. Did he have a plan? A few thoughts ran through his mind, some from a few nights past. An thinly armored palm stroked the back of his neck, just before he rested it on the hilt of his dagger, which was strapped securely to his right side. "Perhaps... Perhaps we should send a search party ahead of us beforehand, to make sure the path to Bomea is absent of any threat. At least until the Oddra lake, or maybe a little bit before. We could set out a couple of hours behind them."
He scratched his chin and nestled himself against the trunk of the tree. Outstretching his legs for comfort as he was bathed in the moonlight, Reina's shadow partially covering him from her tree top perch. "But as far as a complete proposal, I am at a lack of words for it." He would never admit to anyone else but the Knights that a plan had not been set, after all, it would force him to speak against the knowledge of Lancelot, and that was one disrespect he would not take part in.
"Do you have any idea? Where we should camp or, the best place to restock on supply's? I don't think we will be able to make it to Odrra without stopping first, but the quickest road to the closet town is between here and Serionia, I mean, that is because we shouldn't back track south when we would already be taking a large detour.

Reina sat there, pondering his words, normally, she wouldn't have partaken in anyone's plan, and would have done something on her own, but seeing as it was just the two of them, she had to really think about it.
"Well, it's not like the two of us could infiltrate them and not get cought, or not jepordise the mission, so it's probably best that we stock up on plenty of items now. It looks like the others might be late, maybe they have gotten word from Sir Lancelot and are already at town, or on their way. Either way, I say we leave them a note telling them where we will be, so if some do show up late, they'll find us." Reina hopped off the branch, landing on both her feet with a loud thud as the leaves blew from underneath her. "Don't leave without me, I hate travelling the dark roads alone." Pushing off, she walked back to their meeting place, grabbing anything she could use to write on, and took out her inked feather to leave the note to the other Knights. Once she had done that, she signed both their names onto it and followed back outside.
"Now, where's that crazy horse of mine..." Hades was standing tall, right at the side of the camp, hidden in the darkness. Reina shook her head, hugged the neck of the horse and patted his mane down. "There you are Hades, let's get going, it'll be nice passing through Serionia again, I'm sure mother would like to see me again." Reina had not been to Serionia in a while, and a lot has happened since that time, she had not seen her home in over a decade, since she was old enough to be taken to Camelot. She strode over to Lain, nudging her head in the direction they were to take.
"The note's left for them, so if anyone is looking, they'll know where to find us. For now, I don't think we should worry too much about the other's, they're probably at a pub having some ale to ease their minds, at least that's what I would do." Hades started to head towards the road, he was just as impatient as Reina, in fact, he was much like the shadow of the girl. Reina stared into the dark path, it was not unusual to be ambushed, it's happened to her plenty of times before, but now she was alert, and with company, so she felt safer than she had those other times.
Reaching into her pouch, she pulled out the map, staring it over a few times to annalyze what would be the closest town, and just how long it would take her to get there. Her fingers tapped at her bottom lip a few times, just before she grasped where to go, following the stars as guidance. "Are you ready now? I'd like to get there before I turn eighty."

As Reina disappeared into the building Lain took that chance to close his eyes for a bit, searching his soul for the right answer for the question he had answered prematurely. He didn't know if they should go ahead on with the mission without forming the proper battle plan and allied congregation. But the times for questions would have to be put on hold, after all, the length of earth between Camelot and Serionia was a long one, even if they crossed the great desert that separated the two great cities, it would take some time.
He pondered for a short while before Reina returned. He lifted his armor clad frame from the grassy underbrush of the tree and turned toward her. "Well, if we are crossing the desert it won't be a burden for water, all we need to do is not lose our water skins." He tapped the one that was strapped to Artemis' saddle and then took the reins of his horse.
"Sir Lancelot shouldn't have a problem with two of his best knights riding on ahead, if anything we ARE the scouting party, and they should be pleased we can relay advanced information to them." Rayner swooped in from the tree that both Elves had been squatting at. "If need be we can just tie a note to him and send him behind us, he can reach them faster than we ever could, even on horse back."
Lain pitched his arm upward and the hawk took off for the night sky. Being Elven had its perks. Lain could communicate with animals better than any human or other being that inhabited their world. The grass crunched under his heavily armored feet as he walked, and as the pair and their horses met Camelot Gate he mounted Artemis. He had stocked the purebred beforehand, and knew he didn't wouldn't need to stop for a long while. "Journey ho!" He said, mimicking one of their fellow knights, before petting the steed down along his mane and pushing forward along the unmarked trail toward the desert.

"Journey ho alright," Reina murmured while she doublechecked her equipment, making sure she had everything she needed for this trip ahead. Hades neighed and tugged her forward, not wanting to stay in one place for too long, he was very antsy about getting to his next destination, much like his owner. After figuring that she had everything she was going to need, Reiyna continued forward, riding along side Lain, the opposite side his weapons were.
The road was long, and she had been down this path before, knowing how tedious the ride was just sitting in the carriage for so long. She remembered looking over at her father, who was steering the carriage, taking her to Camelot explaining what was going to happen and her new responsibilities. At that time, many of the other elven girls were not worried about fighting or such wars, their main concern was what animals they would talk to that day, or what new spells they would learn from their parents. Many of the girls were either full bread humans or elves, not many were halfbreads, due to the simple fact that many elves did not see it fit to mix blood in that manner.
Reina's mind began to become more clouded as she thought further back into the past. At that time in her life, instead of enjoying herself and playing with all the other children, she was forced to learn magic, to read and write in the elven language as well as human, and weild a sword as good as any man. She could never go out and expierience 'fun' because it would be a waste of time, she was to be the one to carry on the Sinclaire name to the Knights, and keep her family honored. At times, she wondered if she was only born to fit her father's needs and wants, as a son. Fathers would give their sons lessons on fighting, they would show them how to hunt, fish, and have hopes for them to continue their legacy, much like Thomas did to her.
Reina asked her father once or twice about why she could not play with the others, and why she was so different, but both of her parents refused to answer, and usually switched the conversation on her. As she was growing up, the only family she got to really know were the other knights, and as strange as it may have seemed, she felt as if... she were born to be with them.
While riding in the night, Reina was silent, all the way through, only her breathing and the dirt from Hades' hooves could be heard comming from her side. Both of her eyes were staring off into the distance, and she was guiding her steed by her own consciousness, unconsciously. It took her a moment to snap out of her daze, shaking her head ever so slightly, waving her hand about her face to act as if there was something annoying buzzing around her. "How long have we been riding?"

"Only a couple of hours. On horse back it will take us at least a few weeks too make it home...I mean to Serionia." Even after a decade of being away from Serionia, and finding homage in another city, Lain still felt the pull of his birth place, but he was in fact ashamed to admit it out loud. "We shouldn't push them (the horses) too hard. I would hate for Artemis to become too tired to travel on, or Hades for that matter." His back was straight and his balance steady. Riding the great animal he felt at home, one with nature, the way every Elf should of felt at one time or another in their lives.
He thought back on how his life had been, before the Knights, before Camelot, before the death of the majority of his family. His heart had stopped being burdened by it long ago. The good King Arthur had that affect on people, not to make them cold, no, never cold, but to make them aware that they couldn't change the past, and regardless of how tough your past had been, you held the power to change your future. And the young elf had took kindly to those words, taking advantage of his opportunities, and learning from his mistakes.
In a way the good King had been like a second father to him, and Lancelot filled one of the places of his fallen brothers. Reina on the other hand, was like the sister he never had. Though she was as tough a warrior as any man Lain had fought beside, or even against, she had a charm about her that spoke volumes. She alone held the monster inside Lain at bay, though, Lain was not sure she knew this.
He gazed at the moon, his long silver hair swaying in the gentle breeze that consumed the desert at night. It draped over his shoulders and ran the length of hos back, licking at his hips whenever he turned his head too quickly. Maybe it was foolish to some for a male to have such a feminine feature, but his hair reminded him of his mothers snowy locks, and his fathers great flowing beard. When he looked in the mirror he didn't only see his reflection, but that of his entire family, content, unafraid and happy.
"We can make camp once we attained reached a good distance between us and Camelot, that way we will be less likely discovered by any passerby who happen to be taking any main roads. I have a feeling their are spies within our city walls, and our disappearance won't go unnoticed by them."

Reina gave a stern nod, she would have to retire too, afterall, riding for such a long time was such a pain, and even though she was amidst good company, there was always that chance for spies to notice them. Reina was pretty secure however, she being a half elf, and Lain being full, the both of them would be very hard to ambush or cought off guard together, and since her time with the Knights, she had known Lain to be a tough competetor for any enemy.
"I hope Camelot will be fine with us gone for a while, even though I have faith in the guards, it is the Saxons I do not trust, especially how they managed to take our queen so easily, we cannot let anything slip up. Our tactics must be precice, every detail must be to the point and ther's just no room for error." Both of her eyes were steady on the road, her chest rising and falling as she took deep breaths to calm her anxious nerves. She wanted so badly to rush in and slaughter any of those mongrols who got in her way, but she knew now was not the time for her reckless behavior, she needed for once, to act serious, even though her childish nature did manage to ease some of the knights.
The journey seemed to be very quiet, and peaceful at the same time, Reina followed the stars, knowing they were still heading on the right path, but the positioning of the silver moon told her that night was falling and day would rise within a couple of hours. This trip was calming, yet, too calming, neither of them had rarely exchanged words to eachother. It was when she looked over to the preoccupied face of Lain that she had to react. Quickly, she searched through her bags, panicking because she could not find it, it had to be there, in one of them, she ALWAYS packed it with her. Tilting to the side, she checked near Hades' reigns when she found the pouch, opening it up and grabbed the foot long flute.
"Too much we travel too far we go to destiny this land we know. Our hearts in song the war we cry to King's loyalty till the day we die!"
Reina sang her little chant she had often done when times were rough between them. She played on her flute, a familiar tune known by the Serionians, the tune usually played in festivals or by bards at the tavern.

He knew Reina very well, and her tunes just as deeply. She was always trying to lift someones spirits, and brighten a dampened mood, regardless of if the person protested her efforts or not. But he found comfort in the fact that she could be so joyous, and thus, took part in her singing. He hummed at first, pursed lips and gritted teeth, but it wasn't long before he began to sing a song his mother would sing to him before bed every night, after all, he had been the baby of the bunch.
"Or 'waith bain nura Anor A panlû elin cuinar Ú-pedithon 'i-aur gwann' Egor nai îl 'namarië'."
He sang thins particular hym with pride, knowing that it coincided with their journey at hand. And after singing the little song in Elvish, he parted his lips once more and out came a more appropriate dialect for the region.
"Above all shadows rides the Sun And stars always dwell. I will not say 'The day is done' Or to the stars 'farewell'."
His gaze met Reina's for a moment, before he looked quickly away, hiding his face by looking due North. "I had the urge to sing, but I apologize that my voice is not as angelic as yours, my mother did not see fit to bequeath that skill to me." He turned toward her once again, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. As the sun began to rise, the heat of the desert intensified, causing Lains armor to become hot to the touch. "We must stop a moment, I can't wear these cumbersome garments and expect to live through our journey through the desert."
Lain dismounted from Artemis and pulled the water skin down with him, popping the cork and giving his old friend a hardy drink. It was courteous for Artemis to drink first, considering he had been doing all the work. The wet liquid felt good against Lains lips, and he licked and sucked quietly not wanting to spill one precious drop. Once his thirst was quenched he stripped from his outer armor from the waist up.
He was dressed in a simple white top that wrapped around his midsection and fastened on the side with pearl buttons. It was almost sheer, enough to let allow the slightest breeze to whip through his clothing, something his armor robbed him of. He tied said armor to his saddle and mounted Artemis again, after giving him a light rest.
But as he began to saddle up, there came a black figure, from the direction of the city they had abandoned through the night. "Reina, is my vision already turning? Or are we being followed?" He kept his eyes on the figure as he spoke. if it was in fact an enemy, he would pluck him with the tip of an arrow before he could come within fifty yards of them.

Ryn was running flat out, his breath coming in short gasps. He had gotten a message that the Queen had been kidnapped, from Lancelot himself, no less. As he sprinted, his long, muddy blond hair, whipped around in the wind, flicking into his line of vision every few seconds.
On the message, he had gotten a special little note attached to the corner, telling him that two others had already set out, and he was to catch up to them, before they passed the desert.
"Bloody... Lancelot.... Making... Me... Chase... Two... People... On... Horses...", Ryn grunted, between breaths, his grey eyes watching the two in the distance. It seemed they had stopped, which was a good thing for Ryn, because he doubted he would have caught them if they had not.
He shouted as he ran, saying," Reina! Lain! Wait up!"
His leather clad feet sprayed sand in every direction as he ran, trying to make sure that the two heard him, and did not start up of their own accord.

Reina felt the need to partake in the action, sliding off her plated armor, knowing in the desert, if she must fight, swift and agile would be the way to go, and to be unburdened by the heat as well. She wore a light cloth top which tied up at her chest and hung down to her wrists. Over the top she wore a leather bustier vest to keep her blouse in place. She freed her pants of the leg armor and packed it away after petting down Hades.
"It always surprises me how these deserts never waste a second to warm up so quickly." She took a brief drink of her water before grabbing the second vial for Hades and popped him a sweet treat that would keep him hydrated for a while, at least till their next stop. When she heard Lain speak, she turned her head in the direction he pointed out. "I see it, but I don't know if it is friend or foe. I'd rather not wait and find out, but we better make sure, before we end up striking anyone down." These were one of those times she had to make a tough decision, though if it were an enemy, it would be in their favor, for the odds were against whatever that was.
"Let's approach with caution Lain, keep your weapon close." Reina walked in front of Lain, she wanted to find out if she'd actually get her taste of blood now, and if she did, her sword would be very happy to be washed in blood again. Her eyes remained steady and still on the being, and she had gotten yards from them before stopping, callingout to the figure.
"Who goes there? If you've come to cross path's with the Knights of Camelot, then you've made a poor choice." She pulled out her sword, listening to the hum of the blade as it left the sheath, the sound resonating in the still air. This sword thirst for blood, hungered for flesh, just as Reisha did to her enemies.
She waited for another moment before hearing someone speak, the voice did not sound familiar, but she tilt her head anyway, to get a closer look at the man, still clinging onto her sword. "Ok, you have better give me some answers before my blade answers for you!"

Lain walked closely behind her, he had discarded his leg guards after seeing the figure to the West. Who would be chasing after them in this heat? And so far into the desert so early in the morning? He did not know, and honestly, he didn't want to ask, so he left that up to Reina.
His bow was at home between his palms, and he walked with grace and confidence whilst he analyzed the situation. If was one of the Knights, why had he not sent word ahead of him by hawk or eagle, informing them of his appending arrival? All of these question would be answered shortly though, so he pushed them from his mind for the time being.
"So, Reina, if it is indeed foe, I would take much pleasure in watching you perform your infamous hack and slash techniques." he laughed out loud but continued walking in her shadow. She was the only cover he could use in a form of ambush, so when the fiend was upon them he could spring out like a jack rabbit, shooting volleys of arrows one after another. His vision was impeccable, supernatural even, and his accuracy was even more precise.

((I'll edit this post after this, but I'd like to say, my character is an Assasin, who works for whoever is willing to pay, so he could be being payed to help out))
Ryn continued to run, holding his right hand out in a sign of peace, while shouting as loud as he could," I was hired by Lancelot, to help you two!"
"Dang, they think I'm an enemy... Stupid noble git... Doesn't even inform them that he's paying me to help them out...", Ryn thought, his leather clad feet padding in the sand, ready to twitch out a knife at any second.
As he got closer, he pulled out his copy of the letter with his left hand, his right still held to block an attack in case they didn't give him time to explain. He continued to repeat himself, about being hired by Lancelot.
