Noyana was egged on by Haiba's chuckle, focusing even more. She watched two holes, waiting for just a hair to pop up. Sure enough, it wasn't long before another dirt-rat peeked out of the ground. Noyana quickly pounded a paw on it, with a bit of a diagonal swipe. This brought more of it out of the hole as she cracked its neck with her weight. Not long after that one, a second fool came out of the second hole, and she did the same thing to it. "Wow, these aren't very smart, are they?" She asked in a whisper so as not to clue in any others close to the surface that they were there.

-Eyes on his own hole, Haiba watched carefully as head peeked timidly out. He batted once, twice, almost losing it as it tried to scurry into it's hole once more. But finally with a dip of his paw he was able to scoop out his pray, ending the game with a well placed bite.
Silent still out of 'hunting habit', he lifted his eyes to catch Noyana's easy kill of her second beast, and his young laugh broke the silence.- "No, not very. Not very filling either for adults though, so we can eat here all we want without them coming and trying to take our food."

Noyana pondered Haiba's words. She'd already been accustomed to giving up her kills, if need be, but there was always something in her that wanted to claim the kill as hers and hers alone. Her green eyes danced at Haiba's suggestion. Yeah, she deserved to keep her kill this time.
"That's awesome, Haiba," She said, ears perking forward and a grin spreading across her face. She ignored yet another meerkat that didn't pop out of its hole, but came close enough to the surface, that, if she'd wanted to, Noyana could've caught. She was revelling for the moment that these were her kills that she didn't even have to think of giving up. She started to pick at one. She'd eat both before deciding to kill more of them. Dumb as they may have been, she wasn't the type to needlessly kill.

-He could see her pleasure simply from her posture, picking that smile from her maw before he himself puffed up with soft pride at having helped to create the emotion. Perhaps she'd had some bad experience with someone stealing her food before, or perhaps she simply longed to be a 'big kid' and be able to choose and fight for the best. But either way she seemed pleased and so did he.
Taking note from her he nudged at his prey once more to make sure it was dead before young teeth began to make short work of his trophy.-

Mouth full of meerkat (though she never was the type one could call a "lady," so she found nothing wrong with this,) Noyana looked over to her new friend and asked, "How long have you known about this?" She gulped it down before continuing, "I mean, this is pretty fun, I'd think I would've found out about it earlier!" She smiled and nodded in pleasure to indicate that, regardless of how he answered, she was glad he'd shown her the place.
She casually tossed aside the remnants of the first meerkat before pulling the second towards her. She noted how little meat they had on them. Good target practice- good snacks.
