His words brought pure delight and she felt instantly relieved of any worries that she had had that he would reject her. Malika smiled brightly at him. "I'm glad." She whispered extremely happy.
"Anywhere is fine. As long as you're with me I'll be happy." She told him truthfully nodding her head to him. Now the only thing she was worried about was if she sounded weird or odd to him.

Sekizen had never been the determining factor of someone's happiness before... It was an odd feeling. Even if he interpreted it as her depending on him, it was still an odd feeling. Still, odd as it was, it made him smile again. Sekizen couldn't find the right words to say... Scratch that, any words to say!
Under his white fur he blushed, a very odd thing for the male. In his normal masked self, he never EVER would dream of letting himself blush, but he liked the freedom he felt around her. He put up his walls to everyone else without a second thought, but... Malika was different.
He continued to think of places they could stay when the perfect one popped into mind. "There's a place by a small water hole we could stay at. There's a cave there." Now that he thought of it, it was close-ish to Pride Rock, too, with an absolutely gorgeous view of the large structure. "What do you say?" He asked, looking Malika while he walked.

Malika was rather oblivious to his walls having never noticed them before and now that he didn't put them up or even try to now made it easier for her to be oblivious to the fact that he had had walls. Even if she had noticed them it wouldn't have bothered her, in fact it probably would have made her happy to know that he was able to share his true self with her and that she was the first one he was able to.
"That sounds absolutely fabulous." Malika replied cheerfully nodding her head at the same time. She padded softly and slowly behind him, her tail flicking absentmindedly behind her. "I promise to tell you everything sometime soon." She whispered, more for herself rather than him, knowing that if she didn't make that promise now she might not ever be able to.

Seki smiled again. "In your own time... I won't push you," He kept walking down into the lands. "I can take you to that cave whenever you want, but we should probably meet up with the queen. She should probably know you're here... You'll live here, won't you?" He asked. Perhaps it had been a mistake to let someone this close to his heart... He didn't want her to leave, his dependability was another different thing to him as well.

His words were comforting, she was glad that he wouldn't force her to come out with everything from her past. She had to stop and think about living in the pridelands. It seemed like such a nice place but did she want to live there? Well Sekizen was here and she did love having him around her and he seemed to love this place so very much....
"Do you want me to stay?" Malika asked quickly catching up to him. "If you want me to I will."

"I'd love it if you stayed, I'd be sad to see you go. It's up to you, though, if you don't like it here... You don't have to stay," his ears folded down a little. He rather hoped she wouldn't go- he really wanted to be around her.
He finally crested a hill- home would be so much more visible. The sight was astounding, as he had thought. A broad smile spread across his face as his eyes found Pride Rock, and all that was before it. "Welcome, Malika, to the Pridelands," he said.

Malika didn't like seeing him looking sad even slightly. She moved to walk beside him and nudged him lightly with her nose. "I would be sad if you were sad. I'll stay. I've heard nothing but great things about the pridelands. I'm sure I'll love it." She told him with a nod to back it up.
Her breath caught and she stared in amazement at the land before her. The sun touched it just right to the point it was golden. She was speechless, it looked so much grander than she had ever imagined.

Sekizen smiled smugly at her response to the view. "I knew you'd love it, it's almost as pretty as you, isn't it?" He asked before tapping her shoulder with his nose, trotting down the other side of the hill, hoping Malika would follow. Where had this sudden good mood come from?
And suddenly, it seemed all so familiar... Sekizen remembered his dreams as a cub, running down the backside of a hill filled with bliss... Given, the grass wasn't purple here like it was in his dreams... He was sure, also, that there wouldn't be a horrible tree sprout up out of a lime-green patch.

For the first minute the only thing Malika could do was take in the view of the lands. Finally she released the breath she just barely realized that she had been holding. "It's beautiful." She replied.
She was so preoccupied with the lands that it took a little for his words to sink in. When they did she felt her cheeks growing hot. At first she wasn't able to respond to him, only blushing when he then tapped her shoulder. She blinked a few times before bounding after him rather happily. When she was beside him she smiled and spoke. "Thank you, it means a lot to have you call me....pretty."

Sekizen had never flirted before in his life, but it appeared that it came naturally to him. He smiled back at her. "It's the truth," he said, feeling horribly awkward inside, but he held all that in. He wouldn't let it ruin a nice moment. Sekizen always had given compliments, but he'd never given so many to one person- not even to Nix'Annada. He wondered, if he ever saw her again, what he would do... She was just a memory to him. A good one, but a memory from his cubhood.
Malika was different. She was there, she was staying with him. Given, the goddess had had a duty to take care of when she left him so long ago, but... He hadn't seen her since. Malika had grown much closer to his heart than Nix ever had... Even though he had had a slight obsession with her in the past.
He glanced over at Malika's violet eyes, though, and knew the answer- Nix would only ever be a friend. Malika was more to him, especially recently. "I'll take you to that place I was talking about- we can stay there overnight. If you like it, we could stay there longer, or we could find a different place tomorrow," he said with a smile.

Malika's blush grew deeper and spread a bit more across her nose. Although this wasn't the first time she had been called pretty, she knew that Sekizen meant it. She knew she could trust him which was rather hard for her to do, especially since the last time had been by the backstabber she had so foolishly placed so much trust in. She winced slightly at the memory but quickly shook it off. "That's very sweet of you."
Silence soon filled the air between them but Malika didn't mind, not one bit. It was peaceful, though awkward in some aspects. It had been sometime since she had truly enjoyed the company of another, and then it had been with the red seer of the Mtemani pride, which was by now no longer worthy of being called a pride. Even when she had been with the seer she didn't feel the same as she did now. She didn't feel as peaceful or as happy.
It was true that Angamika had brought her happiness and company in the pride of her past, but he had long since disappeared, she had not seen him in some time. At first it had bothered her, but now it just seemed like a memory, something that would soon be forgotten. He however was one of the few things that hadn't been painful in remembering. Everything else had been around the 'King' and his daughter, which were the most painful, especially how the 'Princess' had acted so coldly when telling them of the death.
His voice interrupted her thoughts and she jerked her head towards him blinking slowly. "Ah..Oh. That sounds like a great plan." She told him smiling pushing her memories out of her thoughts for now. "You're family won't be worried will they?" She asked concerned, she knew that he had been gone from the pridelands for some time but still, family could be worried.

He smiled at her compliment, and walked a little closer to her. If he moved any closer, their shoulders would touch as the pair of them walked.
His family.... He had honestly forgotten about them. What did they care? But then again, he knew they did. "I think it'd be ok if I told them tomorrow that I'm back. That, or I could leave later today go to let them know I'm home. Either works fine with me," He said. "So do you think you'll like it here, from the bit you've seen?" He asked, trying to strike up some comfortable conversation as they walked.

Malika nodded. "It's always good to let them know you've returned." She stated before moving into the conversation he was trying to strike up. "Yes. I do believe that I'll love it here." She told him with much confidence in that statement. "It's beautiful here and it seems so warm and inviting....Besides.." She paused momentarily and glanced over at him. "You're here and having a friend here makes things so much better."

Sekizen bumped gently into her as they walked. "Yes, having a friend sure makes life more enjoyable." He smiled at her with his response. He could see the area he was planning on up ahead. He picked up the pace a little, not too hard. He hoped Malika wouldn't be tired, but how was he to know? Once they got very close, he asked."How's this sound? I'll take you to the den until you're settled in," he said as he walked, "then, once you feel at-home, I'll go let my family know I'm back, but I'll be back soon after. Sound like a plan?" The male asked. He hoped his family wouldn't keep him long- he wouldn't want to leave Malika alone for long in a place that's strange to her.

Malika kept up with him with relative ease. She was beginning to tire a bit but she didn't let her slow her down. She knew she would have plenty of time to rest later.
She nodded at his words. "Sounds like a plan." She replied as they reached the den. Malika looked it over and deemed it mentally, perfect. She took a step into it. She turned and faced him. "I'll be fine now, go, just hurry back." She told him with a pleasant smile. She nudged him lightly. "I won't go anywhere until you come back."
She then settled into the den comfortably and watched him walk away. Settling her head on her paws she continued to watch until he was out of sight, then she closed her eyes and settled into a peaceful sleep.
