"I'm no expert on landings, as you can tell... " Akil grinned sheepishly. "But, it kinda looks like you're misjudging the distance until you need to start slowing down. I'm getting the hang of it, but I'm certainly not an expert so if you don't wanna listen to me I understand. So this is the sea huh?"

Seer got to her feet and shook some of the sand out of her fur. "The ship is out on the water so I guess I'm just used to landing on a moving target?" She grinned. "I'll keep that in mind, though. And yes! The sea!" She trotted a bit farther out toward the water, waiting while a wave washed up over her paws. "Isn't it great? You can build sand castles and stuff and it's funny to watch the crabs scuttle around during low tide and there's seabirds and you can go swimming and stuff and the sunsets are awesome."

Akil tilted his head. All of this information and he didn't even know half of what she was talking about. But to make sure he didn't seem any worse and clueless than he already was, he nodded and looked around. "Where are the crabs? they sound like funny.... creatures."

Seer nodded. "Very funny. They have a bunch of little legs and they walk sideway. They have big pincher claws, though, so don't let 'em get you." She trotted down the beach a short way to where there was a shallow tidal pool in the middle of some rocks. "See in there? They look kinda bugs."

Akil watched the little creatures with interest, his eyes going wide as he watched them scurry about. "Wow.... Those are some of the strangest things I've ever seen!"
He slowly reached down a paw, batting at one of them, but he was wary of the little claws that poked out at him in return. He recalled that there was a kitsu off somewhere else that he knew of that had a huge one of those. He'd rather not let them get a hold of his paw.
