If she wanted to confuse him, she had done.
He turned around and looked at her, the confusion showing on his face. "What exactly are you saying?" He didn't understand. Females! They talk in riddles all the time! Was she saying she would love him or something? It made no sense what so ever. This was suppose to be a ploy to annoy her not make her love him! What was going on?

She raised an eyebrow at his question, and at the look on his face. What in the world--why was he confused? "What exactly am I saying?" she repeated--somewhat--and shook her head. "Meshach, you dunce. There you are, standing there, after claiming you love me, and now I give you a chance, you're claiming you don't understand?" She snorted and shook her head, a knowing grin and an evil knowing gleam in her eyes as she approached him, almost with a swagger.
Soon, Blackfire was close enough to Meshach they nearly touched noses, and she smiled. A smile of hidden intent, but a smile nonetheless. "Well, since you seem to be feeling sad I can't return your feelings, there's one thing I can give you... and I hope to Epona it makes you happy, because it more than likely won't happen again... you dork." She then kissed him, right then and there, then pulled away just as quickly, a triumphant, if happy, smirk on her face as she backed away. "There... I don't owe you anything more." Or at least, she hoped so. Meshach was a weird stallion, for sure.
She eyed him carefully as she tossed her wavy hair out of her face, and flicked her still slightly wet tail. She was getting somewhat cold because she had yet to dry off from earlier, and she wanted to get her braids back before her hair became an annoyance.

Meshach was even more confused.
"I tell you my true feelings and then YOU play on them after accusing me of doing so? First you go on about giving me something then you kiss me? I mean seriously you were basically telling me how you hated me, why wouldn't I be confused?" So she was going to play him, then he was going to play her more.
"I don't want a kiss off you, who would want a kiss that meant nothing?" He was making sure to sound angry. If she had owed him something he did not want a kiss, especially one that meant nothing. Oh just she wait, he would get her for this, no doubt about it. Messing up his game!

She snickered.
She couldn't help it; seeing Meshach confused and angry instead of the other way around was something absolutely phenomenal, and she was quite happy to say she was the first to probably do that to him. "Hm, I do hate you," she agreed, pretending to reflect on her actions and her words.
"But then, I can't really hate you, now can I? You saved my life. If you think a worthless little kiss like that--and trust me, it was worth something to me; I mean, it was my first kiss!--then what more do you want? I can't love you back."
She shook her head. "I meant nothing to you before, Meshach; I highly doubt your sudden confession means anything. I still can't believe you love me... I'm sure there's plenty of mares out there much prettier and nicer than me that would suit you better."
She was ignoring how he sounded angry. The way he acted, the way he sounded--it had nothing to do with what he was really thinking. She had been watching his eyes. Eyes were said to be the door to the soul, and they were the best to look at when reading another's emotions.
Apparently... she was right about being tricked... at first. She was going to play Meshach's game... and she was going to win.

Meshach just laughed.
"You think you are all clever, just because you think my eyes are telling you something. Didn't you ever realise if you want to see something in someone you will. You want to see me tricking you, so you will. Doesn't mean anything." He snorted. Of course he wasn't really angry, just acting. He was getting slightly annoyed but that wasn't a first, he had been annoyed before like at that stupid old grey stallion who was boring.
He turned from her again, he had no care to talk to her, or at least he thought he wouldn't if he loved her.
"You will die very lonely if you act like this around any poor male who says they love you. Well I hope you do die a lonely old mare because the way you treat those who love you is sickening." Sounded good to him. Yep he was happy with how that came out so very slowly he started to walk away.

His annoying laugh was enough to have Blackfire want to sink her teeth into his neck and rip him apart. She hated his laugh.
She glowered at him. Did he think a stallion in love would act like that? She snorted; she knew what a stallion in love acted like, and Meshach was certainly not doing a very good impression of one.
"Clever? Ooooh clever doesn't really say anything of it. Of course reading your eyes tells me things, but I certainly am not searching to see if you are tricking me." She continued to watch him as he made a move to leave.
"...I was searching your eyes to see if you really did love me," she let her words drifts towards Meshach as he left.
If she died an old, lonely mare, so be it; if she didn't, so be it. Blackfire wasn't one to judge her fate; she only had one life, after all. The only possible thing that scared her, was the possibility of her father hunting her down.
"Well, lucky me, because you're the first male to love me, aren't you?" she finished scathingly, and turned her head away.

He simply ignored what she said and continued to walk off, he would leave her for now. He wanted to find a partner in crime and had some plotting to do. He hadn't looked her in the eye once so he was confused where she was coming from. He had looked at her but had avoided eye contact. Just she wait, things were going to get so much more fun.
