Lexadraxa Cuz its the best...duh.. And becasue I was tired of hearing people say, "Girls don't play bass." That's rediculous. Whenever I see a rock or metal band, if there's a girl in it, there's about a 4 in 5 chance she's the bass player.

I don't know why I started, it was just a random 'I think I'd like to play bass' decision. It's a good thing I did though because I love it and I get to play in bands and stuff.

I play Bass because for every 1 bassist, there are about 50,000 guitarists. The bass gives a low, rich tone that not even the chorus of a guitar and its chords give. I can feel the bass with every fiber of my being, like the music becomes one with my pulse. A bit creepy, but true.

I listened to Primus pretty much since the day I was born... I always loved that sound, yuh know... so in fifth grade i pulled some weeds and bought a 4 string...
also, my dad plays guitar... so I picked up bass... he went to college for classical guitar so he was able teach me a lot of different finger picking techiques...
everything was just meant to be...

Mizu Otaku Monkey Lexadraxa Cuz its the best...duh.. And becasue I was tired of hearing people say, "Girls don't play bass." That's rediculous. Whenever I see a rock or metal band, if there's a girl in it, there's about a 4 in 5 chance she's the bass player. If anything, she's got the least chance of being a guitarist. Girls are most commonly either a bassist, drummer, or fronter in a metal band. I am a rather casual bass player. I play bass because I play guitar, and most guitarists play bass as well, just because they can. ...And I can't find a guitar with the shape of a J-Bass. xd

I originally wanted to play guitar in my band, but we kept going in and out of members just talking about it, and my bro (who's a beast at guitar) my other bro (beast at drums) and I decided I should pick up bass and do vox. That changed and we brought in a vocalist, and I just kept playing the bass because it was fun, and i was "better than [my friend] was when [he] started playing" and the words "I could easily see you as the next glen benton" drove my determination to learn it.

I first played up-right bass for orchestra, but at the beginning of last year I was plauing violin, and the orch. teacher (he was new) asked if anyone wante to play bass. I, being sarcastic, said "Yea, I want to" So he to it sreiously and next thing I know its my first lesson and I found that I liked it ALOT. Then for X-mas last year I got my electric bass, and I just love playing it. So much better than a violin or guitar. Also it proves that girls can play bass.

I started playing the violin. friends wanted to start a band, but i didn't want to leave orchestra. so I switched to the up right. I moved and the school i went to only allowed me to play bass guitar. got one for christmas and fell in love with the deeper tone.
