Mtembei hissed at her and shifted his body down, ready to launch forward and pounce her back when she was close enough. However, the female would get a face full of dirt, and Mtembei felt himself behing lifted up.
And then promptly dropped back down again at his fathers side. Two brown, one red and one blue eyes locked on each other. Mtembei in furstration; Banji in dissaproval.
He shook his head and moved to the juvenile, lifting her up and setting her back down with much more caution than he'd showed his own. "Please forgive him for whatever he did."
Mtembei nearly fell over. "W-WHAT?! SHE started it!"

Nsundu had been so focused on her target that she hadn't even noticed Banji's approach. Thus, with her pounce intercepted, the young lioness hit the dirt and rolled. Ended up on her side, the young lioness was momentarily dazed. What had happened? The cub had risen to meet her challenge and then all of a sudden he was gone! Where was he? Had he run away?
She rolled onto her front and shook her head to clear it, only to find herself set on all fours by a gentle mouth. Now very aware of Banji, Nsundu took three careful steps back, ears pressed against her head. She might be cocky, but Nsundu wasn't stupid. While she would gladly take even an adolescent male in a brawl, the young lioness knew she wouldn't stand a chance against an adult male. Not to mention that it looked like the male knew this cub. His father perhaps?
The request for forgiveness caught her more off guard then Mtembei's sudden "disappearance." This lion wanted her to forgive Tiny? Nsundu weighed her options. She could forgive or she could attack, just as Banji could have easily killed her for attacking his cub. He had, however, chosen to give her a fair chance. He even set her down gently. It was more respect than she was used to for a male. Just this once she would concede to this strangely respectful male.
"I'll forgive him," Nsundu replied casually, as though she hadn't just been brawling with Mtembei. She shook some imaginary dust off of her fur, before offering Banji a small, respectful nod. That would do. Seeing as it was now two against one, Nsundu didn't really feel like sticking around.
"Catch you laaaater, Tiny!"
With a final cheeky grin at Mtembei the young lioness bounded off. Another day, another lion to beat up. Besides, now she was hungry again!
[ I can alter the ending if you wanted to continue. I just think Nsundu wouldn't stick around with Banji there. Mtembei has backup XDD ]

(S'cool! We can end it here. XD *amused* We'll have to do another later. Haha.)
"Why you!" Mtembei dashed forward, fully intent on tackling her even if his lame dad was there. The cub had barely moved before he tripped and found himself with a face full of dirt. Banji stood behind him with one giant paw on his multi-colored tail.
"Mtembei, honestly! You have three sisters who should have taught you to behave by now."
In response to this, Mtembei hissed and rolled over and clawed at the offending paw. "I hate girls! They are so stupid! I hate them forever!"
Banji rolled his eyes and lifted his son up to take back to a bunch of females he was sure would be glad to hear that.
If only he knew...
