-She nodded a little, whispering softly with his words.- "Boys so often seem to try and deny how lovely flowers and butterflies are."

-But her whisper became a resounding squeak of pleasure at his aggreance, hopping from her seated position up on all fours once more.- "Wonderful!"

-Smiling brightly the sunny lioness' tail began to sway, gratitudes spilling from her as she drew nearer, waiting for him to lead her to this oasis of flowers he'd spoke of.- "Thank you Kweu."

-How the day had went from hot and dreary to this she couldn't quite follow, but she no longer noticed the heat and no longer did her mind drift to thoughs of hiding and sleeping away the day. Oh no, today was only becoming more and more so something to treasure.-

He gave a widespread grin, chuckling softly. "Well, I've always believed that real boys would admit true beauty when they see it. Its hard to ignore or pass by something that's really lovely," he added with a small, pleasing rumble coming from his chest.

Even as a young adult the world still remained a mystery to him. There was still so much to explore, so much to see and learn! It could be overwhelming to fathome how much there was left yet it only remained in his view as another adventure and excitement that had yet to be explored. It was strange to think that he had run into Isabis by a struck of luck and, already, he was feeling as if he was falling head over paws. He'd have to keep himself up or he would certainly sink deeper and deeper- yet as his heart seemed to pitter-patter within his chest, he couldn't help but feel excited for whatever would come his way.

Those blue, brilliant cerulean eyes watched as the 'goddess' drew nearer which caused him to, if possible, to smile a bit wider.

"You're welcome," he replied.

"So," he began as he gently swayed his head towards the outskirts of the grove of trees and shade several lengths away. "How about we get out of the sun and go find those field of flowers?" Slowly, he began to walk with a casual pace as he couldn't help but glance towards Isabis and find himself smiling.

These feelings were like no other! Kweu had never found someone so pleasing to be around, so interesting and so kind. To think that before he was so lonely, especially with the rumors that his mom was pregnant again, but now he had finally found what he was looking for: a friend, a good friend.

Kweu'Chaka felt as if things were making a change for the better.

"True enough." -She mused softly as she found a pace alongside Kweu, her steps falling just a hint faster then his to keep up with the extra length of his larger masculine ones. Already the butterflies were beginning to filter back, one small orange one coming to meet it's 'bretheren' now they they were moving once more.-

"Nothing would make me happier." -The smile that accompanied the words spoke heavily of their truth. For right now it was all she did want. And it was pleasing that the same seemed to be true of the lion beside her. Her follower. No.. her friend. It was different wasn't it?

Her mind soared to many blissful thoughts, both imagined and remarkably not so. He'd already promised to take her other places too. Certainly the thought that he might be woeing her, feeding her nonesense didn't even register. Those eyes, that sweet expression, they couldn't play such a mean trick. And if they could? Well then.. they'd already won the goddess onto their good side.

Contented with the silent bliss she broke the silence nonetheless, musing wistfully.- "Are there blue flowers there? And orange?"
PostPosted: Mon Oct 08, 2007 9:28 pm

The creamy, yellow hued lion glanced back and slowed his pace just a bit so the 'goddess' wouldn't have to walk so fast just to keep up with him. He felt more comfortable walking beside her and wasn't one to be partial about having to walk in front- no, he much rather to walk beside her. A broader smile curled upon his maw as he chuckled softly.

For a moment he couldn't think quite straight as a strange feeling seemed to almost bubble up inside of him- this strange feeling causing him to give a slight crinkle of his nose as he could feel his stomach knot up slightly and a mild flush of pink seem to give rise upon his cheeks. Kweu hadn't experienced these feelings before and although he did find himself slightly confused and unable to stop smiling he just didn't want it to leave. He had heard his mother talk briefly once about these feelings for a small education lesson but- well, he hadn't listened quite well. His ears flickered as he intook a deep breath, exhaling slowly out of his nostrils as his mind found itself wrapped up within ideas of bliss, joy and comfort.

And yet again the young adult couldn't help himself simply gazing at the goddess in simple awe.

It was unmistakable that she was indeed beautiful- perhaps above all beauty and distinct with a certain presence she carried, the sound of her voice and her sweet nature that was irrisistabley pleasent. He nodded his head.

He remembered what this was.

Kweu'Chaka kept his lips sealed tight. It wasn't time yet.

As the two padded through the thick regions of the jungle and causing Kweu to occasionally swat at the draping vines with his claws, he smiled as his brilliant cerulean orbs seemed to dance with pure light within.

"There are flowers almost like all the colors of the rainbow!" He grinned from ear to ear. "So many- I've never seen so many before," he commented as he approached a fallen, moss covered log that acted as a natural bridge above a small stream. Even in the distance the roar of the waterfall could be heard and a sweet fragrance seemed to waft within the air. Leaping upon the log, the young adult faced the goddess where, behind him, a thick veil of vines and leaves. If one was to follow the vines and leaves upwards and towards the right, one would locate an ancient and pretigious tree that rooted itself towards the right and seemed to cause a tent or canopy effect to hide its mystery from prying eyes and the simple wanderer.

That broad, tender smile seemed to stretch across his maw as he gazed into her eyes.

"Okay- we're here Isabis but you have to close your eyes- its a surprise. Take a step up and I'll make sure you won't fall, I promise!"

((*pokes your sig* Ohh my goodness! I hope things go alright and you heal up as painlessly as possible. heart

And of course take all the time you need! I'm sorry it took me so long, midterms and nasty 10 page papers. xp))

-As socially inept as she usually was in her lonely travels, Isabis' mind couldn't begin to grasp at the truth that her friend might have already found. But it didn't make the comfortable and wonderful feeling any less. Words couldn't describe how much fun she was having. Simply walking around! Waiting to see something beautiful. Her tail danced in a pleasant sway, her eyes bright and wide to catch each sight.

As they began through the jungle her eyes danced back and forth, the lush greens, the wide variety of her 'brethren' that flittered to and fro. It was all amazing. And with Kweu taking care of the vines Isabis was left to admire, the sweet melody of a subconcious purr flowing from her.

-Her ears twitched as the unfamiliar sound of rushing water whispered to her, and carefully she eyed the sturdy structure that her friend had mounted. Cautiously she eyed it, laughing a little nervously.- "Eyes closed?"

-She paused for a moment, but it was quite brief, and finally she nodded, stepping upwards onto the mossy log before her eyes fluttered shut, ears laying softly backwards, and there she stood waiting for him.-

((Heee- thanks luffie <3 I'm much better now with my cast :3 and don't be sorry- real life catches up with us and especially with school and horrible papers. Hope you're getting through them all 8D heart ))

It seemed with the presence of the goddess, butterflies had begun to congregate and gently glide about the two of them. Kweu could only smile and glance towards the numerous array of butterflies that had joined them but his eyes simply fell back upon Isabis as a wider smile seemed to take hold of his maw. As she spoke, he nodded his head and chuckled softly.

"Well it can't be a surprise if you keep your eyes open, right? It will only be for a few moments- I promise."

As the goddess stepped up on the log and stood awaiting, Kweu'Chaka took that as his cue.

Turning around to face the thick veil of vines that drapped from the endless branches of the tall, ancient tree that was the soul creator of the paradise that laid in wait, the young adult lifted his right paw upwards with his claws unveiled and began to trim the thick foilage and vines. One by one, they fell and the hideaway that one could only invision within the depths of dreams was coming into view while the sweet fragrances of the plethora of flowers, sweet nectars and the soothing waters seemed to sing a melody or a song to those who happened to find its sacred hideaway from the world and, not to mention, the heat of the plains. Clawing delicately at the last gnarly vine, it was revealed.

Kweu walked a few steps and hopped off the log, intaking a deep breath as his lungs so desperately sought to intake such pure air and his nose tantilized by such pleasent auromas. The large, ancient tree stood several feet away with its trunk enough for several lions to stand around and its branches above creating a canopy of wonderment and enchantment. Flowers- so many flowers! Pink ones, red ones, blue ones, white ones, purple ones, there was one of every color! And of course with flowrers also resided butterflies and an assortment and widespread array of life. Even the birds who hid away within the boughs of the trees seemed to notice the newcombers and solaced a welcome and songs of their own. It was easily noted that such a place was not a place of bloodshed, worries or fear.

Nature was the best at bringing out the beauty in life and the individual soul.

Standing at the side of the log upon the ground, the young adult smiled and glanced towards the goddess.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now Isabis," he softly spoke, not wanting to disturb the tranquility of his secret hideaway.

-She half expected to be led, but when that didn't happen her ears lifted once more, trying to capture any hint to the surprise that she might. The task itself seemed impossible though, the subtle sounds of Kweu preening and uncovering the way overtaken by the rush of water and the twittering song of birds. However.. the delicately sweet scent of flowers began to wash over her, and despite her closed eyes an image of beauty passed before her eyes, her imagination slipping away with her thoughts. Beautiful flowers, a river, warm sunshine.

But clearly her mind could not imagine what truely lay before her, for when her eyes finally fluttered open at his words she was left speechless and still. The colors were so varied and brillant, the flowers far more flashy and extravagant then anything she'd ever seen in the sun-drenched prarie.

And though her mouth still remained shut her eyes opened gently more, paws finally pulling her forward. It was surreal, beautiful, wonderous, amazing. Her heart fluttered with the very sight of it and she continued forward with delicate steps, as if afraid the beauty might all run away if she were too forceful. When finally she was close enough that the sugary scent encompassed her completely, wide blue eyes turned back to her guide, soft whisper of a sigh slipping from her.- "It's magical..."

((So, so, so sorry for the delay D: I got swamped ;; <3))

He couldn't help but grin from ear to ear, smiling as her reaction was one he was hoing for. From watching her eyes widen with the breathtaking natural beauty, the young adult chuckled softly as he walked around with careful steps as he trailed towards the bed of flowers that were just as colorful as spring or even the purest rainbow one could find stretched across the sky. "My brother Ayato and I found it when we were cubs," he explained softly, keeping his voice smooth and rather hushed as the two of them stood within the surrounding 'paradise'.

"We promised each other we'd never show it to someone or anyone else unless we trusted them or thought of them as a friend- so I wanted to show you- I mean, I knew you would like it too... A goddess should dwell where there is beauty to compliment her...."

He wasn't a mastermind with his words or assembling them but he meant each and every one. This small seclusion away from the world was perfect and to Kweu it seemed that others had never taken the time to appriciate beauty nor admire nature like he did.

In meeting Isabis, Kweu felt a deep friendship with or or at least he wanted to have that connection with her. She being a goddess he never had known and rather awe struken by her vocation, Kweu felt devoted in a sort of way.

"Goddess Isabis, this is my gift to you.... I-I hope you like it. You're the only one whom I've ever shown it to..."

-Matching his words with actions and words just as gentle, she continued to step as lightly as she could, as her eyes dancing until finally they found themselves on him once more. The story, sounding like something out of a story pulled at her heart, and she was more than honored and flattered the more she found out about how special this little oasis was. In fact for a long while, all she could offer in return for the words was a delighted smile, and a wistful sigh.

Letting her body linger around and around, picking up the scent of the flowers and life she finally made her way before him once more, before she propped herself up on her haunches, placing her nose and maw in a delicate and lingering kiss on his forehead. Settling back to the ground she wished with all her heart and might that she might conjure up enough magic, 'sealed' as it may be, to answer the wish that escaped her in a soft whisper.- "I wish that I had a gift as precious to give to you, but this will have to do. May you always be protected, and blessed with peace and serenity. And may any pain and distraction melt away until it's throb is as gentle and fragile as the wings of a butterfly."

Cerulean blue orb watched her with curiosity, fixed upon her as she seemed to intake the beauty all around her with a lightly step while he could only imagine her heart beat quickening and her senses opening to the countless, delicate and pleasing fragrances and bounty of life within the confines of such a secret and beautiful place. Even Kweu himself smiled and let a wide grin tug at his maw, tail flicking and curling around him as it was easily to note that the goddess wa finding great favor for such a place. His heart was swelling and it was making such a funny senstion within his chest which made him think that it was soon to burst open! His ears flicked slightly, head cantered in a small notion as she began heading back to him.

Oh no!

What was she going to say? Did she really like it or maybe she had already seen this place but didn't want to hurt his feelings! The young adult tried to smile as best he could without showing his sudden nervousness all too well but he was certain that it was showing through. Though he wasn't too keen as a ladies man or rather smooth with his tounge like some, Kweu'Chaka swallowed and watched as she propped herself up on her haunches while her nose and maw was placed ever so delicately near his forward and-

Gave him a kiss.

Instantly his ears perked upwards and a flush of pink (although hidden by his creamy yellow fur) did some justice in hiding it, his cheeks continued to feel warm as he nearly became dumbfounded on what to say or what to do. Okay, okay! He had to do something, right? Even after she planted the kiss on his forehead Kweu continued to stand there with wide eyes and a rather lopsided smile that tugged at the corners of his maw.

As the goddess spoke, Kweu tried to gather his thoughts and shook his head. "You-you don' have to give anything me to....anything to me," he corrected, giving a sheepish smile as he was still trying to recover from such an unexpected and lovely kiss. Yet her 'blessing' and gift was more than he could ever ask for and even then his heart seemed to pitter-patter inside of his chest while he tried to stop feeling as if he was floating.

"Th-thank you, Goddess Isabis....you are too kind..."

-A soft giggle errupted from her as he stuttered and finally settled upon his words, body still holding a posture that was in a way comic, though the laugh had obviously been one of enjoyment and not taunt.

It seemed she couldn't stop smiling, and another purr rumbled quietly through her as she turned and stepped away from him, musing mildly.- "If you say so."

-Lowering her nose to hover over the blooms for another long moment, she resumed her small loop about this wonderland, taking in the scents and sights as if she were trying to remember it all. So that she might perhaps bring up an image of it in her dreams when she wanted to. And in truth that was what she was doing.

Glancing back to Kweu, she paused a moment before asking a little reluctantly.- "You probably need to go back home soon don't you? Before it's dark and all.."
PostPosted: Wed Mar 12, 2008 9:47 am

Kweu smiled, watching as she seemed to flutter near the flowers much like a butterfly would. There was a part of him that found her simply too much for words- though he had never met a goddess before this certainly was something that he would love to tell his mother! But a slight solace of pain seemed to echo within his heart, causing the young adult to bite his lower lip as his ears swiveled back slightly. It was a horrible feeling being unable to recall the last time he had seen his family! Where was Ayato, where was Tui and his mother; oh, was she worried about him? The young adult swallowed as he curled his tail around his body, shifting slightly as he glanced back towards the shadowed path which led back into the Pridelands.

The night when both he and Ayato had seen his mother, Tai with another male was still engraved in his mind along with mixed emotions. Of course he was happy that his mother had found someone else but, at the same time, he wasn't too sure about the male or who he was. Was he going to simply be with their mom, use her and up and run? Knowing well that it was the same way as to how they were born, Kweu seemed uncertain and rather hesitant about it all.

But time had passed, hadn't it?

Surely he hadn't seen his mother and his brothers for quite a long time but who could blame him? The young adult had simply rummaged through the Pridelands day by day- staying in the lands yet straying far from Pride Rock. There was a part of him that didn't want to go home and yet another part of him that pleaded to return to the small safehaven. But these conflicted emotions seemed to keep him skittish on such a topic and drive him away. Kweu exhaled softly, a smile tugging at his maw as it held a slightly saddened expression which he masked as best he could.

"Yes- I'm afraid I do. But I do hope I will see you again- I will, won't I Isabis?" Inside he pleaded softly, his heart holding onto hope that he would. Though he couldn't express concise feelings as his heart already seemed to patter against his chest and feel as if it was soon to burst from out of his chest, the feelings that she made him feel were those which he simply didn't want to lose.

The young adult smiled a bit wider with a softened expression as he rose upwards to his paws and glanced momentarily towards the path and back to the goddess.

"Can I escort you somehwere, perhaps? Or will you rest here tonight?"

-Lost in her own happiness and currently ignorant of his own worse and strife, though perhaps one day that would change and he would let his worries fall upon her ears, she smiled back to him with soft reassurance, easing his worries that reguarded to her.- "You'd better come find me again sometime. You promised to show me what a family was like after all."

"Or was that just talk to get me all alone?" -She teased playfully obviously not believing the taunt, and slowly she found herself drawn back to stand nearer to him, tail flicking back and forth.

At his suggestion that she stay her, she balked a little, falling silent in thought for a long moment. This place was so beautiful.. it seemed almost sacred. And even as a 'goddess' she felt almost as if she didn't have the right to stay here.. to sleep her.- "Mm.. no I don't think so.. This is your place. Our place. So I won't come here without you."

-She nodded softly with the notion, as the words were spoken immediately as they were thought. Bumping her cheek once more in a grateful and affectionate sort of goodbye she added.- "I'll head back towards the watering hole I was at before. When you are free and feel like visiting again.. you'll find me waiting there."

-She hoped it was sooner rather than later.-

Kweu'Chaka pushed away the things that seemed to inhabit his mind away- smiling a bit wider with a soft chuckle. "And I'll keep that promise- I just have to visit my mother. I haven't seen her in quite a while and I'm rather afraid I have a lot of things to catch up on," he explained, trying to make it brief and something that he didn't quite want to flood her with. He held such a devotion and love for his family but, currently, the young adult couldn't help but feel that he would have to rediscover most of them and learn of what they had been up to and especially his mother. Again he managed to grin.

"Did it work?" he replied with a playful tone, lowering his head towards her as she stood close, nearer to him.

For a moment he noted her slight change of expression, instantly trying to pull back such a suggestion as he certainly meant no offense. Kweu bit his lower lip, chest tightening as he became slightly nervous. But what was this? His ears managed to perk upwards, head canting slightly as she spoke.

She- wouldn't come here without him?

That twinge of nervousness and fear seemed to dissapate instantly as he couldn't help but smile warmly, a small yet present purr rising from his chest. "And I will do the same- we'll return when we're with one another." While his heart seemed to beat stronger and the young goddess bumped her cheek with a goodbye, Kweu'Chaka seemed to feel a certain warmth course suddenly through his veins. He didn't want to leave, oh no! Yet he had to finally speak with his mother and put the pieces together in learning what had certainly happened since his paws had pulled him elsewhere into wandering.

He gave a nod of his head, smiling at her still with that ever present smile. "I will come; Before you know it I'll visit again, I promise," he commented. "It won't be long and I promise when I find you I will introduce you to my family. They'll be thrilled to meet you, Isabis, I'm sure!"

Gently brushing against her for a brief moment as a goodbye gesture, Kweu turned towards the log and leapt up on it- slowly walking into the shadows as he began to meander off with hopes to finally bring his ties back to his family.

-Her mood soared considerably as he promised once again to her, this time that their next meeting wouldn't be long away, and she accepted it happily, calling out with a soft goodbye as she too turned to head in her oppisite direction.- "Take care of yourself then Kweu! See you soon."

It was a meeting that would have her in high spirits for days after, the blossoming of a friendship that would help shift her life from one of loneliness to one of wonder and joy. She nearly skipped as she made her way back to where it had all started. This ending was most certainly, just the beginning.-
