"Nahh. The mood's gotten better, hasn't it? You seem a bit happier." She smiled warmly, having noticed that Habu was at least cheering up a little. If she couldn't help smooth the ruffles in his life, she could at least help lift his spirits. The things that were going on with him were things that she couldn't truely understand, not having a close family. Even if she did understand them, though, there was little she could do to help the situation. After all, she'd never met any of the lions in Habu's life. Maybe she should fix that little issue. In the back of her mind, she hatched a plan to meet either his dad or Sheshe just to see what they were like. She had yet to meet anyone she didn't like, so she couldn't imagine not enjoying either of their company. Especially if they were anything like Habu. Besides, they sounded like fine lions, and she was sure she could track them down if she tried hard enough. There were so many lions in the Pridelands, some of them were bound to know of the little family. Either that or she could simply ask Habu where the family den was.
If she could've blushed, she would've at his next comment. "I'm glad you're morning's going well, then. Mine's certainly better than it could be." She batted at his paw in a friendly sort of way. "I'm sure there's a reason he didn't come right out and tell you. I mean, if you look at it from a different stand point... maybe he just hasn't gotten around to it yet? I haven't told Noyana that I'm in the pride yet, and she used to be my best friend." Intombi wasn't proud that she'd yet to track down the chipper yellow girl, but she did intend to soon. Either later today or within the next couple of days, she'd definately find her old friend. Even if they didn't see eachother much from here on out, she'd still like to talk to her and see how things were going. For now, of course, she was quite content with Habu.

"Used to be," Habu repeated after Intombi, not too pleased with the use of those words in particular. He hadn't seen Kubwa in so long, those words almost certainly applied to him now- it was just hard to admit, especially where Habu had never really stopped keeping an eye out for him. But part of that was because it was possible that something could have happened to him, and because Kubwa's mother hadn't even known.
"He got around to telling my mysterious cousins," he pointed out bitterly, but then remembered how it didn't seem like Intombi had been a member a very long time. Maybe it was possible that Kubwa hadn't been back very long, and just happened to meet Janja and Jedi before he could come find him. There'd been time since then, but..
"I guess you're right, at least a little," Habu said finally, "I don't want to worry about it anymore, I have to just go find him- I keep trying, but keep running into someone else." At this point, quite opposite what one might expect, he smiled. It was hard to be disappointed about that when one ran into someone like Intombi- that was certainly ok by him.

Intombi gave a weak smile when her words were repeated, realizing that it wasn't the happiest of statements she'd ever made. Even though she had had fun with Noyana, though, she couldn't bring herself to seriously be sad over the fact that she hadn't run into the bright yellow female in some time. It might not be a good thing, but they had grown apart. Intombi had certainly made new friends since that time, including Habu and Mzuza. If she had to give up a lioness's friendship that she had hardly spoken to since they were cubs, she was perfectly okay with it. Mzuza was terribly cautious, but Intombi was fond of her. Then there was Habu, who was just perfectly wonderful in personality. He seemed to have the ability to get along with anyone, something that Intombi could also do. Not only that, but he was easy on the eyes, something that Intombi's fashionista side could appreciate.
Her smile turned to something more real, though, at his slight mention of being at least a tiny bit optimistic. She was one of those types of critters who was quick to dish out the benifit of the doubt, something that could easily get her in trouble one day, but she couldn't imagine ever being another way. "That's it. Next time you see him you can ask about it, but until then, just try to be happy." She nodded slowly, more than glad to get another smile out of him. He needed cheering up, that was for certain. At the mention of trying to find him, though, she looked a little flustered and attempted to stare him down, even though he was obviously larger than her. "You won't go find him until you've had at least one good night's sleep. What good will finding him be if you can hardly pay attention?" She had a somewhat stern look, though there was still the glitter in her eye that was always there. It took away from her ordering tone somewhat, which was something she'd have to work on if she planned on being convincing at all in life.

Habu nodded agreeably to Intombi's instructions to just try to be happy until he got to talk to Kubwa about everything. Even Habu thought things would be better than he was making them out to be once he got to talk to Kubwa. His friend must have been through a lot, especially if he went missing for so long and sent messages through strangers. Habu almost missed Intombi's comment about not paying attention for he was lost in his thoughts again, and when he looked back to Intombi he stifled a yawn.
"Y-y're right, but I can't seem to get a good night of sleep," he mumbled, rolling his eyes a bit. He'd tried, but it just never happened. Habu was ok responding that way because Intombi didn't look as serious as she sounded, and besides- there wasn't much she could do about it.

Lack of sleep was bad. Very bad. Intombi started fidgeting a little, cocking her head at odd angles to get a better look at just how fatigued Habu looked. She suddenly got very worried about him. "Why not? Is it the stress?" She figured that must've been what was going on here. After all, if he was going home to his father and his father's new mate, right to the source of his trouble, it'd probably be harder to sleep. Maybe he just needed to get it off his mind and take a nap just outside of the den? Of course! That was the perfect solution. Before Intombi moved into the Pridelands for good, she had gotten into the habit of sleeping near the den but not in it on nights when she just wanted to be alone. Even a social butterfly like her had nights like that. Habu's case was much worse than hers ever was, of course, but Intombi figured it was the same basic idea.
"If you can't sleep, then you can just rest your eyes." She stood up rather abruptly, swaying her tail lightly to catch her balance. "Even if it's not sleep, it's something, right? C'mon." She took a few steps in a random direction, but stopped rather quickly, realizing the flaw in her plan. She hadn't the foggiest idea where Habu's family den was. Not the foggiest. "Hey, uhm... Habu, where's the den?"

"A bit, and nightmares," he murmured, and Habu could have sworn he'd mentioned that- but they'd talked about other things since that particular topic so it wasn't a big deal for her to have forgotten. He glanced down at his paws, wishing he could just get some sleep- it was getting to a point where Habu was having a hard time believing he'd ever slept before, though he knew he had.
He wished it was as easy as resting his eyes now, but most attempts at that let him drift off to sleep- which was immediately interrupted by a sensory overload from some indecipherable vision. It was tiring, which wasn't helping the situation.
He got to his feet and was prepared to follow after Intombi when she instructed him to come with her, though he paused when he realized this. It didn't take much to get him to follow insturctions now, it seemed- luckily he still thought about what was going on, and just barely before Intombi realized she didn't know where they were going. Habu blinked when asked where the den was, and decided there was no reason not to tell her and nodded off in the direction he'd been coming from before.
"This way," he mumbled, and this time he led the way.

Intombi nodded and fell in step behind the large yellow male, somwhat relieved that she wasn't leading the way. She'd never been the brightest lion when it came to following directions, ad she was certain that even if Habu gave her a detailed description of the walk to his family's den, she'd get lost. So it was a good thing that the male decided to take the lead, whatever reason had prompted the move. She trailed only a pace or so behind his shoulder, sort of next to him and sort of behind at the same time. The whole time she bobbed her head happily and soaked in the scenery. She was happy. Happy to be a full fledged member of the Pridelands. Happy to be with Habu again. Happy to be getting him to take a nap, or at least laying down. "If you don't fall asleep, you can just chill out for a bit." She nodded as if telling herself that that was what she'd make him do instead of informing him of his options. She felt the slight need to hunt down a hare for him, but resisted the urge. For now, making him relax was good enough.
