No shook her head, a smooth grin spread across her face. “Not at all! It’s something that does spark strong feelings in all of us. No one deserves to fade away like the firekin plan to unknowingly. Not when it can be stopped- and risen back up far greater then it has ever been.” No was sure of it. She’d stop nothing at achieving it. For Kidondo- but also, for the desert she had come to love and herself. If it was destiny, No felt the calling just as strongly as Kidondo did- and had ever since they’d met in the graveyard so long ago.
“Ah, so I’m getting very readable!” She laughed, shaking her head. “To be honest- when I saw you, I wanted to stall you up a bit just so Kidondo could see you. You’re exactly the kind of person we’re looking for. Good strong rogues. But- I didn’t intend to go recruiting someone who has a home.” Her voice purred. But No had sensed something about Rin that was akin to herself. “But, if you are serious- and this is something you want to do,” She paused, giving a glance to Kidondo. He had the same look on his face that she did, and she couldn’t agree more. “Then we’d welcome you with all the eagerness we have. If we could run into more of rogues like you I think we’d be unstoppable.”

Rin was slightly relieved when the others seemed to understand her strong feelings on the subject. They appeared to share the same views. But even if they had taken offense, she probably wouldn't have cared so much. She felt that it wasn't worth holding herself back for others. Yet these two... she was gaining a certain respect for the both of them. They were looking to overturn a pride not to make it their own, but to make it the best that it could be.
Good intentions like that boded well with the red female.
She laughed along with No as the black cat continued speaking. "My impression was that good on you, huh?" she asked. She had thought that perhaps she had come off as too defensive or too rude in the first place. But it seemed that she had made the perfect impression.
At the mention that she hadn't intended to find someone good enough who already had a home. Her round ears flicked slightly as she turned her head around to peer in the direction of the Kusini lands. "My family is here, they own the pride," she spoke. "But there's enough members in the pride and not enough for me to do. Besides, I can't stay here forever. I've got an adventurous sense. And nothing ever happens around here anyways. You're the first passersby that we've had in a while."
Nodding her head, a small grin came over her face. "I'm completely serious. I'm not much of a joker." She flexed her claws into the dirt in anticipation. Finally! She'd get to do something with herself.
When No spoke that they wanted to meet more like her, she suddenly remembered Duzi. In all of the excitement of something new finally coming into her life, she had forgotten all about him. She felt terrible. But, she knew a way to make up for it.
"I think I know another that would suit your cause."

"First impressions mean everything. You have what it takes, maybe more so than you realise. There's a strength in you that will only increase if you challenge yourself." He twitched an ear and stretched his forepaws, the endless travelling was slowly but surely taking its toll on him, even with all the strength he seemed to possess. A lion could only take so much.
"But you must be aware, our plans..." He indicated No with a tip of his muzzle. "They will lead us into the jaws of the enemy. It will be dangerous and there will be fighting, maybe death." He hesitated. He knew there would be death. He looked at his forepaws and imagined them stained with the blood of his father. His eyes squeezed shut and a flicker of pain crossed his face. Could he do it? Sure, he sounded confident now, but when the time came, could he really do it? He shook his head, ridding himself of the worries that he would ponder on later.
Then he stood and he raised his noble face to the breeze, enjoying its kiss upon his face. "If you wish to join us I will not stop you, in fact as No rightly said, we would encourage it. Lions with a strong heart like yours do not cross your path very often. You are a gift in this world." This was why he loved the outsiders. This was why he loved the rogues. They knew of survival and hardship just as well as the Firekin did - maybe even more. They were stronger than his kin thought, much stronger.
He turned towards her at her last words and nodded slowly. "Another? Then good luck surely does come in pairs." He tried not to get his hopes up, after all, this other might not want to join them, but he couldn't help it. Somehow it felt as if the world was on their side for a change.

No hiked her ears, rather pleased with this turn of events. Rin had a mouth on her, that was for sure. She could trust a female like that, and they’d need some good frank honesty to measure their plannings. “You might say that,” She purred and nodded her head, finally rising from where she was to stand by Kidondo. She might have made the pitch, but this was on both of them. “It would be an honor to have you. We need a good spark.”
But, Kidondo’s words did bring a solemn expression to her face. She didn’t see much more she could add to his warning- so she simply let her eyes rest upon the form of the young lioness, and studied how she might react to the danger. It was very real to them- if they did not prepare well, they would surely be killed. Or enslaved- and this time, for good. But in her personal opinion- the firekin’s current military standings consisted of the king, an old bitter lioness, and young lions who had no real experience, or need, to fight. There were a few old salts for sure- but she was sure that at least for the young crowd...they could win them over. They had to be able to see how they had fallen. And how great they could be!
“Another?” No asked.

Rin automatically lifted her head as Kidondo told her that she had what it takes. She already had a high view of herself as it was, but with his assurance she grew even more proud. And No's mentioning that it would be an honor to have her only helped to fuel the fire. But at the mention that it would take them into great danger and that there would possibly be death, she thought for a moment.
Tensing her muscles and flexing her claws, she nodded. "I'm willing to take the risk of death. Around here, I'll die of old age without ever having done anything. I'd much rather die fighting for something." Watching the large male, she flicked her round ears quizzically as he shut his eyes and looked pained.
She looked over at No briefly, then back to Kidondo. But by that time he had seemingly recovered. She let the thought slip from her mind.
The red female's head lifted again as Kidondo said that she was a gift in the world. Nodding again, another grin came across her face. "There's no turning back now. I'm not one to go back on my word. I will most definitely stick with you two." Thinking for a moment, she craned her neck around to look back at the Kusini lands once more. "But could you give me a little time to let my family know that I'm leaving?" she asked.
As No and Kidondo spoke the same question about this 'other' that she knew, her grin grew even broader. "Sure enough," she said. "He's..." How should she classify him? She loved him and he loved her, but should she call him her mate? "A close friend," she finished. "Much more of a rogue than I am, and perhaps stronger. Plus, I remember him mistaking me for Firekin the first time we met. He despised me at first for that, since he didn't like their ways. I'm sure he'd love to join you in your cause to change the pride and bring it to glory the right way."

"A wise choice. We all die sometime. If we die sooner than we are old then let us die doing something worthwhile. I intend this rebellion to be remembered for years to come. If we suceed you will be a part of creating a new era for the legendary Firekin." He smiled. It sounded wonderful, despite the fact that the loss would be great. He would lose a father through this, though truly Kimeti was already lost to him anyway.
"Take as much time as you need. Family is important and they will worry for you if you don't explain why you have made this sudden decision. I am sure they will not deny you the chance to truly embrace what it means to be alive."
He shook his head as if realising he was talking too much. "Enough of my babble. Take your leave. We will wait for you. And if this other you speak of is willing, bring him too. The more the merrier and I expect any friend of yours would be a valuable asset to our team." He leaned closer to No, purring as he nestled his head against her shoulder. Their team. They did make a great team, they always had.
"What would I do without you?" He murmured to the black cat, affection laced within his words.

No nodded solemnly, reflecting quietly on the words. It was certainly ones she agreed with- even when she had been a cub, before Kidondo, she had known that a worthy death was far better then wasting away in normality. People would know her name. And they would respect it without question, no matter if they were enemy or friend. “We will find you.” She spoke smoothly. “Even I took time to speak to my family. I love them- but, I know that I am needed elsewhere.”
As she watched Kidondo give the red lioness her leave, she couldn’t help but have a small bubble of pride. They could do this. It would happen. She was sure of it. There had to be hundreds of like minded individuals in the world- all they needed to do was find them. Once they were alone- she somewhat teasingly rested the bulk of her weight against Kidondo and sat her head on top of his, where it sat on her shoulder. “I would not want to know the answer to that.” She rumbled, licking a scruff of mane out of his eyes. “Classier, I imagine.” She pulled back and stretched, allowing her dark claws to slip out. “I know these lands here well.” She commented. “We’ll meet up with her again. For now- let’s do something about empty bellies.”

Rin nodded, grateful that these two understood her logic. She couldn't simply leave her family without telling them. She wasn't sure how they would respond, but she wasn't about to go off and possibly die without them ever knowing where she went. She wouldn't allow that to happen; she wouldn't let them go through that.
"Thank you," she spoke kindly, which was a new side for her. But she respected No and Kidondo, and so she treated them nicely and controlled herself. Yet as soon as she was on the journey with them and on her way to fight to make a pride better, she'd go back to being vicious and being a b***h. At least to her enemies.
With that in mind, she tipped her head slightly in respect to them before turning about and heading back into her family's pride. She would make a difference. She was determined to make something of herself and not just sit around wasting away.
She only hoped her family would support her in her decision.
