I've eaten at a Korean restaurant, but the had Filipino food, too (but with Korean touches here and there). In my area, we have Chinese/Hispanic restaurants together.

Huh? What are you talking about?
I barely see any joint Japanese-Korean restaurant.
For me, it's mostly "Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant" or "Chinese and Vietnamese noodle shop", etc.
The Japanese and Koreans stand on their own. razz

Japanese/Chinese places are very popular are here in DC. But most of the time it's just Chinese food with sushi... and pizza stressed Silly Americans, you don't go to a Chinese restaurant and eat pizza!

There aren't many Korean resturants where I live... Mostly Japanese. So obviously, I go to a Japanese Resturaunt. My favorite dishes are Dragon Roll Sushi, Creamy smoked salmon roll, Crab roll, Shrimp Tempura soup with the extra BIG noodles, and Yakunikidon.
Bubble Tea? hmmm my favorite flavor is Passionfruit and Banana or Orange and Banana for an Orange Julius kind of taste.

in my area there's almost no Japanese ppl therefore almost all the Japanese restaurants around me are either run by chinese or koreans...but there's still lots of Japanese restaurants and korean restaurants, since there's a huge population of koreans in my area...
for korean food, only 1 person mentioned kimchi so far? biggrin
i only tried bubble tea once lmao...i liked it but i never tried it again for some reason...

In my area, its practically Korean central. I've seen so many Korean restaurants that I keep forgetting that some of the Korean restaurants have their Japanese food AND Korean food! The only thing is that they have what my dad calls, "Chinese kimchi"...
Random: My all-time favourite food is Jajangmeon... which has its origins from Japan... sweatdrop
