Jaha bit his lip as he tried to calm down. It was not all that unusual to see him cry. "Her name was Hadyia. I couldn't really tell what she was said. And also, we were messing around in the river the other day and she seemed very happy. All I could hear through her constant crying was the phrase 'another lion'. I suppose I don't really blame her. I'm not the strongest or best looking lion. I pretty much raised myself. I don't really know if my parents left me or if they were killed. I learned to swim when I was left next to river." Jaha was right. He was left by his parents for one reason or another. Since he had raised himself, he hadn't really been forced to grow up.
He generally was happy, peppy, and childish but right now, he was being sophisticated and open. Or at least for his standards. His sobbing stopped when he saw Kisura smile. It wasn't as much that her smile made him happy as much as he was confused. But he decided against commenting on it in case it somehow made her angry.

Kisura blinked, a shocked expression crossing her face as Jaha basically told her his life story. She could definatly relate in some ways, as she had pretty much had to raise herself as well because she was born into such a big litter and her parents rarely had any time for her.
"You can only rely on yourself in this world." She said with a slight frown. "That's the only way you can ensure that you don't get hurt." Saying that, she tilted her head slightly. "As far as lions go, you're not THAT bad. You should just try and move on." From Kisura, that was as close to a compliment as any lion was going to get.

As Jaha heard that Kisura said he wasn't 'THAT bad', he wasn't quite sure if that was a compliment or an insult. Jaha had a habit of thinking about statements too deeply. He furrowed his brow or what would be his brow. Did he have a brow? Why did she hate lions so much? What did she mean by 'THAT bad'? What was going on?! All these questions were overloading his brain to think of them all at once. So he decided this wasn't the time to think of that later. Jaha responded uncertainly to how to take that remark, "Um... Thanks?"
"I suppose you can only rely on yourself, then you'll never get hurt but then you'll always be lonely. And from experience I think getting hurt is about as bad as being lonely. I guess I should move on and maybe I'll find someone else more trustworthy." As a rouge, he had had too much of the feeling of loneliness. He was going to go find the lioness that was right for him. That was by far the weirdest pep talk he had ever had. "Well, it was very nice talking to you, Kisura.", he said with a nod of his head. He meant every word, but that was mostly because he had pretty much forgotten that she had tried to attack him. Oh well.

Kisura rolled her eyes as she realised that the lion was fairly oblivious to her compliment. When he thanked her for it, she nodded breifly before looking over the horizon.
"Who says you have to be lonely? Just because I don't trust others, doesn't mean I can't have a bit of fun." Saying that, she turned on her heels, her tail batting from side to side. At Jaha's polite farewell, Kisura smiled. "Yeah, it wasn't all bad I guess." With that, she turned and started heading towards her temporary den nearby.
(( Finished! ))
