Demy stayed mostly silent, simply keeping to himself as Sai went about ordering. At the nudging he sat in his seat, but still tried to keep his gaze averted from Sai.

"I don't like beans...."

Okay...not a real answer to her question, but in his own away Demy was effectively telling her to screw off.

Demy was doing his best to ignore Sai, but he couldn't stop from sniffing at the burger as it was near him, and his twitching nose would betray the action to the watching female. Licking his own maw, the boy slowly followed after the burger as it moved away.

"Cmooon Sai! I dunno what you want to know...I already told you what I'm doing...."

The twitchy star focused his full attention on the hamburger. The poor kid was obviously hungry, and his will was weakening with each passing moment.

Demy gave a happy squeak and snagged the burger. A response could wait until after he had taken a few bites. Once he was sure his growling stomach had something to work on, Demy worked on his answer.

"Er....a friend introduced me to his friend...and...it just kinda went from there?"

Nevermind the fact that Reno practically sold him to Lou for a few drinks on the house. And that after his initial drunkeness had worn off, Demy wasn't too happy with Lou's treatment of him. Still...after getting past their issues, Demy had grown rather fond of the place...and rather fond of annoying Lou.

"And I didn't sell out! I just moved to a new gig...Lou's pretty damn nice to me. I do some barwork, yeah, but the place has a stage, and he lets me put on shows to bring in a crowd... I kinda like working without the rest of my band...no one's there to cramp my style now."

Demy tried unsuccessfully to bite back a growl.

"It's HIS place Sai...it's like any other venue. We had to have permission to play in concert halls and the like now didn't we? I can't just run up into his bar and play whenever the ******** I feel like it, it has to be planned, -like any other concert-."

The youth was seething, but doing his best to hold it in until he had gotten himself a good meal.

"WHY are you so insistant on yelling at me today?!"

"That wasn't ME Sai! That was my -band-, the whole band! Alone nobody wants me!"

There, he said it! Alone he was a failure. He was still just a kid afterall, and needed the support of those more experienced to make it anywhere in this world.

"Lou took me in! Lou gave me a chance! And despite how much I know I annoy him, he keeps giving me chances! ...Okay so their rather harsh chances, and I can safely say I've been in handcuffs more times than a lot of prisoners have been...but I -like- that okay?! I'm his ******** pet, and I LIKE it!""

Demy gave a frustrated sigh and slammed his head down into the table beside his burger. There the youth stayed, struggling to calm himself back down.

"You're welcome.....and.......heh. Yeah...what are the chances...."

Ears flat, the boy gave another sigh and sat back up to work on his burger more.

"Thanks Sai...."

Demy eyed the business card a moment, remembering a time when he could hand out his band's card as well. Gaze downcast, the boy swiftly pocketed the card.

"You didn't have to, you know..."

The arguement was half-hearted. Demy really just didn't feel like arguing anymore at the moment. Besides, eatting the yummy burgers was a much better way to spend his time.
